The Ashby Inn & Restaurant made its reputation with its wonderful food, historic guest rooms, and stunning setting. We offer a peaceful place where a tight-knit group can gather around a fire or spread out on our sunny terrace – an informal place to better concentrate on the business at hand. At the end of the day, the Inn's guestrooms are available for a good night’s rest. Only an hour and fifteen minutes from downtown Washington, and forty minutes from Dulles International Airport, The Ashby Inn makes for a convenient getaway.

The Terrace can seat up to 60 guests, which can be set with long tables, round tables, classroom style or with high tops for a cocktail hour. This space has a beautiful view of the lovely hillside. Please note that the Terrace is covered but not fully enclosed, and therefore is best suited for warmer months, April to October.

Our back outdoor space can be used for a variety of events. For a Reception, our back lawn can be tented or left open for dinner, lawn games, fire pit and more outdoor activities. This area is also home to our Vegetable and Herb gardens, which we kindly ask to remain untouched, as it is a source of produce for our restaurant.

The Ashby Inn Reception Hall

The Ashby Inn Reception Hall was renovated from a pre-existing Chapel that was built in 1893. The original exterior and the elegant stained glass are a unique addition to the reception hall.
