Proper 21, brought to DC from the New York City restaurateurs Rob Zahn and Will Strozier that own Manhattan Proper and Proper West, opened in early October 2016. Located at 1319 F Street NW, Proper 21 is a high end sports bar serving All American classics with a gourmet twist created by Executive Chef Steve Forbes. Proper 21 is the third location of NIEUW Group Inc. Like its predecessors, the space maintains the modern aesthetic and New York style of the Manhattan locations, which have best been described as "Tom Ford meets Thomas Edison". The restaurant provides state-of-the-art & visual for sports, corporate functions, nightlife and other events.

Our main bar is the perfect venue for groups of 100-200 guests. The space features a full bar and five large flat screen TVs, which you are welcome use. The wall front is lined with floor to ceiling windows, letting in lots of natural light. Velvet wallpaper and white orchids create a cool, sophisticated ambiance.

Our main dining room is ideal for lunches, dinners, or cocktail receptions. Easily split into several semi private areas, we can accommodate anywhere from 2 guests to 250 guests. Designed with arched ceilings and large leather banquets, the space is very inviting yet sophisticated. The walls are lined with large flat screen TVS so that your guests can catch up on the latest game, or your group can stream their own images.

Our private back bar is the perfect space for your next cocktail reception, happy hour, or after party. This semi private space has a private bar and two large flat screen TVs for your guests to enjoy. It can also expand into another semi private space for larger groups.

Our private dining room is a completely private room with seating for up to 16 guests. This space can also be used for cocktail parties, expanding into a semi private space for large groups. Our private room features a wine cellar wall, a large flat screen TV, and it's own AV and sound system.
