PRISM Ratings and Reviews
So loud we could barely hear each other over our small table where we were seated uncomfortably close to two other tables. Food was just okay but way too pricey for what is served; steaks were overdone and the bland flavors were masked with massive amounts of salt. The worst part was our waitress; she barely came to our table, acted like she was super busy even though the restaurant was not full, and our glasses were empty for most of our meal.
We were going for my husband's birthday along with one other friend. Our server was very friendly and greeted us promptly. We ordered cocktails and then moved on to ordering salads. My husband and I ordered the porterhouse for 2 to share and our friend ordered the 12oz filet. We also ordered macaroni and cheese, truffle fries and brussel sprouts for sides to share. The food took a very long time. Everything was extremely slow in receiving. We were there for three hours. It was just moderately busy but the length in time we had to wait to receive food was kinda ridiculous.
The food was fair but definitely would never go back. You can have a far better meal at any steakhouse, such as Ocean Prime for the same price.
Restaurant was very lovely. Our servers Lisa and her helper Owen were top notch. Very capable, attentive and all smiles.
The musician who was playing, wish I knew his name (solo, with guitar) was the best....GREAT voice, fantastic song selection and his volume was JUST right. Being a bit hard of hearing my husband can't enjoy a lot of places for the noise. This was fantastic.
The only (rather large) drawback is proximity to casino....where the smoke gets in everywhere. It was quite strong, even made my eyes water.....until I got used to it. We valet parked at the Hotel, which was a mistake. We had to walk all the way through the casino to get to Prism. If we'd valeted at the Casino, the elevator up and short walk to the restaurant would have saved us from the misery of the gambling space.
VERY GOOD restaurant, though.
I’ve been to my fair share of steakhouses and this one doesn’t hold a candle to other restaurants wirh similar prices. I won’t waste my money here again. Servers were very friendly but also seemed to have half of tables in the restaurant. We sat there for a very long time multiple times unattended to.
Our server Shaun was fantastic, but service overall was very slow. Over 20 minutes to get drinks. We ordered our food at the same time as our drinks and didn't get food for over an hour. We were compensated for the wait, but they obviously need more help in the bar and kitchen.
My first time at prism.
It was a Wednesday, before the dinner rush. The place was less than half full.
The service started off great but went downhill quickly.... the wine ordered was not available. They did upgrade though so kudos.
The bread arrived a while after the appetizers. Strange.
Up until now it was fine... the biggest thumbs down was the long wait for main courses (chicken and scallops, nothing that should take over half an hour with the place less than half full).
At $200 after tip, and then being late for the show afterwards because of the long wait, it was a less than stellar performance by prism.
Might go back, it wasn't terrible, but I will shop around for a better experience first.
Food is good and staff is friendly beside all this.
Mixed impressions on this restaurant. Identity is confusing - fine dining or sports bar . The restaurant had both. Good food, fine dining price. Service staff appeared disorganized in servicing our table at first; but, it improved over the course of our meal. Live entertainment- a plus. Smoke from adjoining casino a negative. Overall, this restaurant just didn’t hit the mark in matching, food quality, food price, and food service.
The food was absolutely amazing! The service was amazing! I’ve never been to fine dining that brings you hot cloths for your hands and face nor water poured from such beautiful bottles . I had the NY Steak and it was everything !!!! Those with me had the lamb chops , and rib eye and they were very satisfied ! A1 quality service and amazing to the taste buds .
The food was AMAZING! By far one of the best steaks I've had. The service was wonderful (thank you Evan and Sammy)!! We drove an hour for the dinner and it was worth every penny! The live music was a nice touch but still able to have casual conversation. Don't be afraid to ask for more hot towels :)
This was our first visit and will be back.....the food was divine, the service was awesome and friendly. We have already recommended to several other couples. There definitely is no better restaurant for steak!! Thanks for the delicious dinner and a beautiful evening.
Everything was great food and service was excellent however this was all trumped by the horrific odor of cigarette smoke permeating from the casino. if you don’t mind the smell of smoke while you eat then it’s place for you!
My son said "This is the best steak that I have ever eaten". With practically every restaurant "smoke free" now, the smoke from the casino distracted from the fine dining experience. Two gentlmen wore their hats in the dining room which was also a disappointment. The food was delicious. The service was excellent!!!
I took my wife here for her birthday. They had a guitarist playing music which made it difficult to hear my wife and her to hear me. The food was good with the exception of having undercooked mashed potatoes with the short rib...that was very off-putting. Our waitress was less than good. Slow service, showing favoritism to the "regulars" and a general lack of knowledge about the menu. There was also a very strange cadence to the meal. Appetizers came out quickly and then the bread. We then waiting for quite a while for the table to be cleared. 10 minutes later, she brought our steak knives and then about 15 minutes later our entrees came. We were never asked for more wine or another drink. All-in-all, was not a very pleasant meal and I'm not sure if we would go back. This was our second meal here with close to the same results. I will say again, the food was good but it did not make up for the other lacking qualities of our experience.
we always look for a new experience when we visit the D and we found this place on OT and decided to give it a try.. it was better than average but not a WOW kinda place chopped salad was good as were the entree's ( srared scallops and Halibut) Lobster bisque was barely so-so.. decent is the word
Lisa was FANTASTIC, she wasn't supposed to be my Server, but when I "waited a bit" she came right over and said "I'll take care of you". Wine Man Frederick was over the top - one of the best Sommilier's I've ever encountered. The Food was great as well. Overall my expectations were exceeded mainly by Lisa and Frederick!
We decided to try Prism for our anniversary dinner. We really enjoyed it. The services was great. Our waiter, Shaun, was friendly, attentive and informative. Since they knew we were celebrating our anniversary we were sat at a cozy table with a great view. We had the rock shrimp appetizer, which I would highly recommend. We both enjoyed our steaks and the shareable sides were awesome (asparagus, au gratin potatoes and creamed spinach were our three choices). They even kept our leftovers for us while we went and gambled for a bit. Over all a great experience.
Overall the service and atmosphere was excellent. My main course which was lamp chops wet fatty and l would prefer just chat broiled than in a sauce( my preference). I originally had wanted the short ribs but we're not available(disappointed). My husband enjoyed his filet and crab and our children enjoyed their meal. It was my birthday celebration and they did bring a tasty dessert with a candle to celebrate..so thank you very much for the added touch. Overall nice dining experience but l hope the next time we done the short ribs will be available for me to try.
