Our meal was delicious! The flavor combinations were beautifully put together. We enjoyed this meal from beginning to end. The appetizers were each complex and delicious in their own way. The meatball and polenta appetizer was seasoned to perfection and my favorite. Our meals were packed full of flavor and memorable. The dessert was divine! Our service was exceptional. The staff was attentive and very knowledgeable. This was a great dining experience. We will dine here again!
Went to Primo's for a birthday celebration. Wonderful atmosphere, great food and service.
This was my third time here. I make it a point to eat here each time I stay at the Marriott or the Ritz. Upscale Italian food but won't break the bank. I strongly suggest making reservations in advance, as this place fills up pretty quick. Their wine selection and cocktails are impressive.
They did not give me my points for my dining. I had a reservation for two. We just flew in. My associate was having problems at airport so we were not sure if she would make it. I was hungry since I had been up since 4:30 traveling and no food. I guess they decided to penalize me instead of offering great service. I am at hotel for 5 days wit 8 people and I will not bring them there.
Brandon was outstanding and as usual, the food was amazing.
Both of our entrees were exceptional. Jody, our server was right on with his recommendations and the wine pairing he suggested. Pricey but we will be back for sure!
Our food was not very good except for our dessert that was excellent. We were one of two tables in the restaurant and still service was not great! The server spilled a drink with ice and just left it there for my daughter to clean up. I would never eat here again!
dinner took a little longer than normal to arrive. Other than that it was excellent!
This is always a great restaurant. The service is exceptional. The food is tasty and locally sourced.
I visited this restaurant a few years back and toughly enjoyed it. (I have only just returned to this area) Unfortunately on this last visit, the smell of old cooking oil or fat was very off putting, and seemed to linger on your clothes, it is no longer the upmarket restaurant I remember, the choice of menu, being meatballs, burgers and pizza do not justify the that label. However our server was very pleasant and efficient. I will not be in a hurry to revisit this restaurant.
I was staying at the Grand lakes resort on vacation and thought that I would try one of my favorite restaurants - Primo !
It did not disappoint - another outstanding dinner experience !
I enjoyed it so much that we went back and had dinner there the next day !
Great experience! The food and service was amazing!
I had dinner with family and found the food was of good quality and there was a nice selection of wines. I found this restaurant frankly overpriced considering the service, noisy atmosphere and location.
My wife and I really enjoyed our 9th Anniversary dinner. The waiter was great, very attentive and personable. They have a very limited selection of menu items ( 1 fish, 1 seafood, 1 meat, 1 chicken, etc.). A little inconsistent on the pricing and very expensive. $11 for a basic salad, $22 for lobster and pasta, and $44 for veal shank. We brought our own special bottle of champagne and were certainly expecting a corkage fee of $15. We were VERY displeased with a $25 corkage fee. That is way out of whack for less than 2 minutes of the waiters time. The restaurant would still get their profit margin on a $15 corkage fee. We would not go back anytime soon. We would recommend it but would caution about the prices.
It was our second time eating here. First time everything was spot on. This time the mushroom bisque lacked flavor other than the large fosr of truffle oil. Veggie pasta was way too salty.
The food was excellent and the server was extremely accommodating to my daughter who has Celiac.
Resort restaurant, nicely designed. Food was unremarkable, excellent service.
Food was amazing, great service, great wine list. You are paying a resort premium which is fine, the food quality and service justifies the price, just does not earn a 5th star for value.
Worth every penny. Food was supreme, service the same.
Excellent food. Need to dim the lighting though. Very bright in dining room.
Lots of children in the restaurant but it is an Orlando hotel with shuttles to Disney world so understandable
Great service. Nice atmosphere. Upscale dishes steered towards average taste buds. Should have been much better considering the reputation
This was our second time
Visiting within a month since
Time was AMAZING! However, we were a bit disappointed. The service was pretty bad. The restaurant was not busy and service and food were SLOW!! Too slow. We were not
Impressed with the fried gnocchi. They brought us out some free appetizers because they knew they were slow and we didn’t understand why. Needless to say, we got our food so late we took it home. A little disappointed.
Dining at Primo was an excellent end to our vacation at the JW Marriott. The food was delicious, unique, and reasonably priced. Our waiter was highly attentive and provided efficient service. Moreover, the ambiance was quiet and managed to integrate class and comfort. I would highly recommend making reservations in advance. My husband and I look forward to dining at Primo the next time we are in Orlando.
Great service and good food. A tad pricey, but was worth it for our special occasion.
Vacation- good food but limited menu.
Practically no pasta on the menu.
More pasta dishes will help this menu
Dining at its finest. The food here is magnificent! The service is amazing. Food arrives timely and not on top of each course. Each dish is like an explosion of flavors in your mouth. When I visit Orlando, it is one of the first restaurants at which I make a reservation. Highly recommend it. It is a bit pricey, but well worth it.
I was staying at the Ritz and chose Primo in the JW next door as the menu looked to have pleasing choices to have dinner with my son and his wife.
The staff were very pleasant and attentive.
However. The food was not exceptional at all.
We ordered a variety from the menu too. Salad with added shrimp, a fish dish and a pasta dish..
We sent the salad back to have the shrimp cleaned up. They were served in their entirety with shell, heads legs and tails sitting on top of the salad and looked very unappetizing.
The pasta was mediocre and a small portion for a main course and nothing special. The fish dish was ok.
Overall, it was very pricey and not worth it. I wouldn't go back.
Excellent restaurant. The best at this property. We had may things from the menu and it was all excellent!
The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Juan was on spot for everything we needed. He was an excellent waiter. We invited some friends along for the weekend. This was their first time to dine at Primo and they were not disappointed. Chef Melissa brought out a special dish she was working on for an event to let us try. We had a wonderful evening. Will definitely return.
The food and service were wonderful. We throughly enjoyed our evening.
Just awful food. My chicken was so dry, tiny and terrible. The pork scallopine was massive and unattractive due to the volume of food on the plate. Not good at all. I would not go back.
Excellent service. Excellent wine. Amaroe! Appetizers better than entree. Salads, cheeses, meatballs, grits, yum!
Michelle Marie F was our server and she was perfect!
Most awesome birthday celebration/ conclusion of intense business meeting that we ran. Can’t wait for next year.
Excellent food and service with a convenient location.
Very nice atmosphere, food delicious, staff excellent!
Dinner was very good but after our dinner arrived we felt foregotten. No one stopped by to check if they came out okay or refill drinks. My date seemed annoyed with his dinner but again no one came to the table. We saw several servers approach our table then go to the bigger tables instead. I wasn’t even sure if someone was going to bring us a check at one point. We’ve dined here before and have had much better service experiences in the past.
Great waitstaff and fantastic food both nights I went to this restaurant! Highly recommend the lobster fettuccini, just can’t beat homemade pasta.
We went to Primo with low expectations, given that it's within the JW Marriott in the Grande Lakes Resort. What we found is a chef-driven (Melissa Kelly) restaurant serving fresh, seasonal dishes with a Mediterranean / Italian bent. Our server and supporting cast were as good as any you'll find. To get to restaurants off-property isn't a short drive and this venue in the hotel was a very pleasant surprise. The prices were high, but so is everything on the property. The cost of convenience!
Wonderful pork saltimbocca. They also gave out app and dessert tasters for no charge. The mushroom bisque was delicious but the eye appeal was lacking. A little pricey but for a special occasion well worth the money. I feel that an Italian restaurant should have taramisu year round though.
