We have dined at Primo at least 5 times in the past 3 years and continue to place it first in our restaurants to choose at the Grande Lakes resort. Always wonderful!
Staff was excellent, food very good. Resort prices.
We were staying at the JW and nearly canceled our reservation at Primo becuase we wanted to leave the resort. I'm so glad we didn't! Our Italian dishes (Wild Boar Bolognese and Pork Saltimbocca) were incredible. I requested a special order pasta for my side and the server was eager to accommodate. The service was great. We didn't feel rushed even though the place was packed. The wines were recommended were fantastic! We will be back the next time we are in Orlando, for sure!
Have been here several times and have never had a bad experience. The menu is always excellent and the service is top shelf.
The food and service were great!
Primo is a must dining experience every time I am in the Orlando area. It is always wonderfully delicious and the service is great.
Primo must be one of the finest restaurants in Florida?
We’ve eaten here several times when in Orlando but not again. Was hoping other reviews wrong but food and service not good. Meatballs barely warm. The octopus appetizer was sent back because first, it didn’t even look good(raw and purple) and we eat it often, and was so chewy couldn’t get it down. Farm salad and beet salad hardly any flavor. Grouper ok but dry. Bolognese very thick and not good. Chicken ok. Saltimbalca good. The biggest problem was the time it took between courses. 30+ min between first two courses and almost an hour after salads for entrees. And was not super busy. And should not have mattered with that caliber of restaurant. Felt bad for sever because she kept apologizing. Manager came out and said they were getting ready to plate but still no food 20 min later. Was not impressed with her. Comped appetizers but did not make for a good evening.
The choices on the menu were somewhat limited the service was wonderful. Martha. Food delicious. Wine good but expensive. Difficult finding way there. Valet service a little slow but they were nice Had been there before and would go back again. Easy to make reservation on open table
Wonderful evening at Primo. We dine there once or twice a year while in town. Awesome food. Everything is always so fresh.
My only complaint this year is that we got hit for two bottles of still Pana water. Waiter quickly asked “still or sparkling?” we said, “still” but in reality we meant tap. Tap was not offered. So an additional $20+ was added to our bill. Our fault because we didn’t speak up. It all happened too fast.
Other than that, Primo is a solid restaurant!
Our Server, Brandon was amazing. The food was excellent.
Service was excellent, but the food was just okay. It is just not what I expect for that price.
Waitress was great
Chris was very attentive, friendly, and professional. The Spanish Octupus was one of the best we’ve enjoyed so far. Will definitely have to come back for more!
On site at the JW Marriott. My wife and I had incredible salads and split the pasta Bolognese. Very, very, good. Cocktails before very well made : gin martini and an old fashioned. Bread and oil excellent
One of the most overrated restaurants in the area. Primo has all the trappings of a fine restaurant but in the end, the food needs to shine and frankly to food is mediocre. The food isn't bad, it's decent, but at the prices they charge: $29, $30...$40... The food needs to be better than Bertucci's.
Absolutely try one of the homemade pastas!! They are outstanding! The lamb was also top notch. The service on wonderful friendly and timely.
The variety on menu was just right, the tastes were outstanding. Service was touch slow between plates, but pleasant
Disappointed with our meal. Fish was dry and both salad and fish were very salty. I just don’t think it is worth the price. Was good many years ago but steadily going down hill in my book.
The Saltimbocca was outstanding and Pasta Bolognese was excellent as well.
And the service was excellent too!
Food and service was top notch.
Great food and service.
We have dined here a few times over the years as we live in the area. The menu has not changed much and there are not many options. It will likely be some time before we return.
The service at Primo is always exceptional! Every person we encountered was attentive, friendly, and professional. The food and wine selection was amazing as well. We will definitely return the next time we are in town!
Quality of food was good and our server was attentive and friendly. We were a party of two that was sat in a small booth near the kitchen and the ambiance would certainly have been better if we had been seated in one of the other areas of the restaurant. Other areas were nicer and had white linen table cloths, where as we were seated in a more casual dining experience which was a shame as it was my wife’s Birthday dinner.
We are from NJ This is the second time we have dined at Primo Orlando. The first was outstanding . We have dined at Primo in Maine st least 6 times over the years We have never had a disappointing course at the Primo in Maine. We love everything about that location in Maine as well as the food Unfortunately on this visit to Primo in Orlando there were some disappointments. The farmers salad, which I always order ,was just ok. The octopus which my daughter ordered , was sparse, over cooked and chewy . The scallops were s homerun as was the pizza . Lobster pasta was excellent, bolognese average . I am s huge Melissa Kelly fan do I was a little sad on this visit especially since we were taking our kids there for their anniversary. The price point is way to high to be disappointed .
Everything Melissa does is exceptional.
Her staff are super well trained and race a out working for her.
It is an expensive meal but a treat and Orlando is a pricey market.
Everything is of highest quality and preparation is beautiful.
Best polenta I have ever had and scallops cooked to perfection. The pear dessert was wonderful and paired with excellent gelato and sauce.
Only negative was noisy convention goers that tend to be loud and spoil the ambience that is so nice otherwise.
Extremely disappointing! We went to Primo for the first time Saturday night and arrived early for our 8.30pm reservation in order to have a pre dinner drink at the bar. The waitress told us that we were too early and to come back later as they were busy and there was no room at the bar. We left and had a drink at the bar in the Marriott then returned at 8.30pm. We felt hurried by our waitress, we had stale bread with our soup and wasn’t offered black pepper, but had to call her over and ask for freshly ground pepper. We then ordered the entree of lobster and prawn fettuccine at $40. It was over cooked pasta and lobster with too much creamy sauce, whole tomatoes stuck on top with a bacon crumb topping that really tasted like the stale bread we had earlier. We sent it back and went back to the the Ritz-Carlton where we were staying and back to our favourite restaurant, Normans Restaurant, where we are treated with respect and enjoy nice cocktails at the bar with amuse buse’s . We enjoy fine Champagne, good service and delicious food and we are never disappointed in Normans!
Melissa Kelly never disappoints. A great in every way.
Great food and service! Enjoyed every aspect!
Fantastic dinner with outstanding service. Food is amazing, esp the house-made pasta! Wine service was impeccable as always... highly recommended!
This is my favorite restaurant. I drive from Tampa to eat here. Menu is interesting and food is always really good!
Loved the food and service. Only complaint is that the hostess try to sit us at a table in a different level/area which was very unfavorable. The restaurant was less than 25% occupied when we arrived and we had reservations. It’s very annoying when the hostess brings you to the worst table at the restaurant when the place is almost empty. Shame on you!!!
Everything was very good. Service, Food & Atmosphere.
75th Birthday Celebration . Food was excellent, service excellent.
We dined at Primo Christmas evening. The food and service were outstanding. It was an unhurried evening, paced just right. Definitely will return.
We have been visiting this hotel and restaurant since it opened. We live in the UK and came to celebrate the holidays for 2018. We couldn’t think of a better way to spend our Christmas Eve dinner. The food, drink and service is first class! I would highly recommend not only Primo’s but the whole experience this hotel has to offer
Christmas dinner with my girlfriend. They sat us at a very nice table with a view of the outdoors. Staff were attentive but not bothersome. Its clear their staff know how to conduct themselves in an upscale restaurant. Food came a an excellent pace and was hot and delicious.
Very nice restaurant, good wine list and food was excellent. Service was great, I'd recommend this restaurant.
Had the braised shorts ribs, not good at all, very dried out. The meatballs are delicious, and the antipasto board is really good. It was rather loud and very busy, so not much of a romantic birthday dinner.
