Lasagna Bolognese, Spinach Pasta
They ever disappoint, food is always consistent and the service. The specials were the best, blood orange salad
With the best salmon.
Il Primo was great as usual. The wine was particularly good. Always like that there are very good gluten free options!
Great service, food and wine!
My husband and I were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary . The manager, Jake, went out of his way to make our evening special. The food was outstanding, as usual! Would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
Great experience overall. Love this place.
Experience was great. However they didn’t have my reservation. Said that sometimes the open table reservations don’t get communicated.
One of the best restaurants in Chattanooga. Highly recommend.
Birthday dinner. Arrived early let us sit at the bar before moving us to table. Excellent service knowledgeable staff had some food allergies they accommodated. Fresh everything drinks were delicious. Can’t wait to go back! A LOT
A great meal! Excellent service, excellent food, nice space on the patio, good wine, great evening!
Great Italian restaurant off the beaten path of the North Shore. Our meal was wonderful (lasagna and chicken picatta). Definitely get the Lemoncello!! Our server was great to start with but he was quickly overwhelmed and forgot about us a bit.
The food is amazing!
Always good food! The new okra dish is wonderful. I like that I can always get my "pasta" served over spaghetti squash for nice gluten free option.
We were visiting Chattanooga to combat cabin fever, and Il Primo sounded like a good choice when planning meals - and it was better than good! The food was delicious, the service good, the Coronavirus precautions as expected. We had a shrimp dish and mushroom ravioli - both excellent. The physical plant is nice, with pleasant-looking outdoor seating and well-spaced tables inside. The only letdown: the online menu included sausage and peppers as an entree, but this dish was not on the menu when we arrived and our server didn't recognize the name when I inquired. We highly recommend Il Primo for Italian food lovers.
Had to ask if there were specials...turns out two people in our party actually ordered one of the specials. Thankfully we asked.
Once again a wonderful meal and service! One of my favorites in Chattanooga. The ambiance and friendliness of the staff is first class. Never had a bad meal or experience but if I did I know it would be taken care of right away. Thank you IL Primo once again!
Too loud! Can’t have conversation!
We thoroughly enjoyed the experience for my wife’s birthday. The food was wonderful, the service was excellent (good attention without going over the top), and it was obviously a happening place! A little bit loud, but very enjoyable.
Decent place with good food but pricey for lack of details.
Very attentive and personable server. Manager was excellent.
Always good food with quality preparation. Our “go to” place.
Thus was our first visit to Primo and it definitely won’t be our last. The food was absolutely delicious and very fairly priced. We had fantastic service as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone!
The restaurant was so noisy, it was difficult to hear someone next to me. The seats were horrible, they sat us on benches with no backs, no padding on seat and it was hot as blazes!! It’s a terrible setting. The chicken piccata and pork scallopini were very tasty. Too bad this restaurant does not cater to an older crowd. Lack of comfort while dining and loud atmosphere are the reasons this diner won’t be back.
Great place and great time with family and friends. The reservation worked out nicely since the place is small and gets crowded at popular times.
Primo always has good food. The only drawback to me is the noisy atmosphere. I love that I can get spaghetti squash instead of pasta if I wish. Primo is a family favorite
Overall, very good experience. The only problem was excessive noise. Il Primo needs to damper the din.
Absolutely the best Italian..and maybe overall restaurant in town. The food and cocktails are top notch and the service and care cannot be beaten.
I love that I can get alternatives to pasta and still enjoy the sauces, such as bolognese over spaghetti squash.
Birthday celebration for a friend
Our favorite restaurant in chattanooga!
Great food and great service. Highly recommend.
I was totally surprised with the complimentary black eye peas and collard greens. Both were great and in keeping with southern tradition of your New Year’s Day meal for luck and health.
I will return again soon for the food and next year’s New Year Eve treat.
A great way to spend your 30th wedding anniversary impress your spouse.
GREAT START TO NEW YEARS EVE, Rachael was great waitress, along with delicious food and additional beans and greens that the managed personal delivered to our table. Never a bad meal or service!
Really enjoyed our dinner and the service provided by Taylor at this restaurant. We will be back.
Day after Christmas dinner. Appetizers, arugula salad, the special: yelllowtail snapper & scallops with butternut squash risotto were all delicious.
We had an amazing meal and experience. They made sure to great us as first time guests and the food and service were incredible! We will definitely be back!
Really enjoyed our meal at Il Primo. Dishes we tried were lasagna and chicken piccata. They do bring some great bread to the table while you are waiting for your meal and the waitstaff was very nice. The only thing I could say to watch out for is...sitting outside is lovely but you will have a few flies around.
Always amazing!! Best Italian restaurant in Chattanooga :)
