My husband brought me to Primo for our first anniversary. He had the lamb, I had the sea bass. Our food was delicious. We ordered dessert and they decorated our plate with hearts and the words "Happy 1st Anniversary". We had a small issue but they were quick to fix it and humble in their apology. The entire staff is warm, welcoming and attentive. The cannoli and zeppole were the perfect desserts. Definitely give Primo a try. We created great memories and the staff helped make that possible. Thank you Jose and Katie.

If you like foie gras, don't pass up the foie appetizer--it's great! The confit bread pudding that accompanies it is okay, but the foie is unusual and delicious: cold, smooth, and highlighted with some honey brittle crumbs. The lamb chops are really big and tasty, with a terrific mustard crust. I wasn't crazy about the farro and greens, but the fresh beets were very good. The budino dessert was pretty, and good, but not like any budino I'm used to--this one was more like a cake.

We had eaten there before and had been impressed. We had great anticipations for a wonderful birthday dinner with friends. We continued with anticipation even though our drinks & wine took 15 + minutes to be delivered. The menu selection was surprisingly limited and the prices started at $35 to $195 (no problem if there were adequate selections).

Our dinners took almost an hour after we finally ordered to be served, and others that came in later were served ahead of us. We had to stop other waitstaff just for water refills. After dinner (we waited about 15 minutes--no one available) we didn't see our waitress and I had to find her inside. I also requested the Maitre' d. He was 'ineffective' to say the least.

I finally commented that this was a highly rated Marriott, and that if I were a quality shopper 'the entire restaurant would have a very bad day the next day'.

OUR PARTY CONSISTED OF FOUR (4) PERSONS - AGED 70 YEARS TO 81 YEARS OLD. THE STAFF WAS EXCEPTIONALLY CORDIAL, RESPECTFUL AND VERY ACCOMMODATING. WE ENJOYED EVERY MOMENT OF THIS DINING EXPERIENCE.

Well I was impressed with food, however, it was our anniversary and it took forever for us to get our food. We were informed their was a conference so noise was expected. Loved our waiter who was very informative. Price was not an issue, our tab was $175.00 and I tipped the waiter $45.00. We had reservations but we were delayed by additional twenty minutes. Service just needed some more attention.

This was not our first visit to PRIMO but it was our best. When you visit the same restaurant more than a few times, you get to where your expectations are set and having the food, the service, meet or exceed those expectations is the exception rather than the rule. Last night, every expectation my wife and I had was exceeded and a new standard set.

The meal was exquisite. From the Field Greens salad to the mussel appetizer special to the entrees of Chilean Sea Bass and King Salmon, the food was excellent. The timing of the meal allowed us to enjoy each course without feeling rushed or pushed, and time to visit with each other which we normally do not find the time to do.

The service was outstanding from the moment we were greeted at the entrance to the restaurant to the staff thanking us for coming as we were leaving. The Manager of PRIMO came by the table at least three times to check as he did for all of the guests.

If you are looking for a special place in Tucson to have dinner with a special person, PRIMO should be at the top of your list.

Our favorite place in Tucson for a special meal. Upscale but nested into it's desert surroundings - inside or outside - the food is always spot on from the bread and olive oil to to the appetizers and main course. Special take on mostly Italian but great fish and meat entrees.

The Italian vegetable soup sounded boring, but it was one of the best soups ever! It had a wide variety of vegetables and the broth was outstanding. Too bad it was a special--it deserved a place on the menu. The pork belly was back, with different accompaniments, and it was delicious, as always.

We had such a special time at this restaurant. My daughter and I were celebrating her birthday-along with her 7 month old daughter. While this is not a restaurant meant for children EVERYONE at the restaurant ensured that they would make it work with a wiggly baby in tow.-and they did! The service was impeccable as was the food. My sea bass was perfectly seasoned and cooked; my daughter's scallops were simply amazing. The wine list is excellent but there are also great wines by the glass. The manager of the restaurant came around to ask diners how things were going. He was so personable that it added to the enjoyment of the evening. The baby was getting fussy so we left before the birthday dessert BUT the waitress said that my daughter's glass of Prosecco was on the house. Really, cannot praise this restaurant highly enough.

Raucous group in adjacent dining area. Too noisy to have cross table conversation. Terrible acoustics. Server misinterpreted order and delivered wrong request. Waters not replenished timely. Food OK but nothing special. No romaine Caesar salad only ‘kale’ Caesar Salad. Seriously? Slow service. Will not visit here again.

We read the parking instructions online, and thought we had followed them. However, we were accosted by an employee riding a tram who told us we could not park in a lot that was only 1/3 full. My husband followed his directions, "just around the corner", but it was about a quarter mile uphill climb among dumpsters and garbage for him to join us at the door. NO other info was given. Our guest, a disabled vet, luckily declined his invite to join my 70 yr old husband on this trek. However, all 4 of us had to make the trip after dinner through the convention hall, downstairs and through the parking garage and upstairs to outdoor parking. Our guest was clearly exhausted as he suffers from acute COPD. We were clearly not treated as welcomed guests. I plan to call management about this situation. We started with drinks in the bar area and each also ordered wine with dinner. Our server was very gracious, making suggestions. However, my dinner, sea bass was served last and came out cold. The suggested "wonderful" brussel sprouts were hard and unpalatable. The second order of sprouts were fine, but underwhelming. My husband enjoyed his venison, although he thought the portion size was small. Our guest's pork dish was described as tough and the pancetta was soaked with sauce and looked like wet paper. He did not eat it. My entrée came out warm at the 2nd try, and we were not charged or my sea bass or the brussel sprouts, but only 50 percent of the dishes were really described as good. Sorry, but we were very disappointed that we chose Primo to celebrate my birthday despite the complementary cannolis. We live in Tucson every winter and we enjoy fine dining at least weekly. But Primo will not be on our list.

We went for a birthday dinner and were not impressed. Friends had dined repeatedly at East Coast location and raved about the food. I ordered pasta bolognese - the pasta was overcooked, the sauce was good but not fantastic. My wife ordered pork saltimbocca (a "signature dish"), and it was okay, but not impressive. We were expecting more in the flavor department. Drinks were reasonably priced for the venue, service was nice - not overly intrusive but prompt. We will likely try again, but based solely on our friends' recommendation, not on our first experience.

Advertised on Open Table that special for today was 25% off bottle of wine but after ordering was told that because it was a busy week no specials were being offered
Server said she would speak to Mgr but seems Mgr did not feel not feel appropriate to honor what was on Open Table
Very disappointed not only as Open Table member but also as Marriott Gold Member

I really enjoyed our dinner at Primo. The service was very slow (not the food, the waiter). We tried to get her attention several times but she was no where to be found. And many of the other servers just walked by when we were very obvious about needing something. The food was great but we felt it was overpriced. Being that the restaurant was in a resort away from the city, we felt the entire resort raised their prices since people couldn't easily drive to the city.

Quite a nice surprise. We were celebrating our Anniversary and choose Primo. Nothing was lacking in the experience. We were treated to some complimentary Italian sparkling wine to start. My NY Strip was a different presentation, but none the less awesome. My Lady's scallops were great as well. Sara (our server) and the rest of the staff were more than accommodating. The meal was topped off with a pair of terrific cannolis, again on the house. Great experience and we will be back.

My wife and I were staying at the JW for the NYE weekend and on our first day we decided to try Primo instead of venturing into town for dinner. We've had mixed experiences at hotel restaurants - so we came in with reasonable expectations - but we were blown away by our experience. The space is very nice - great views and a cozy inside dining room. The servers were attentive, gave great recommendations and management is present, checking in and support the staff as necessary. We had a small issue with the food and it was corrected immediately. The menu was very creative and I loved the local focus - including items from their own on-site garden. We started with the Baked Brie, I then had the salmon and my wife and the scallops with made in house pasta. She is Italian and couldn't stop raving about how good the pasta was. We finished with the Canolis - that were so good and light we came back the next night to have them again. So kudos Primo - thank you for an amazing experience and giving me faith in hotel restaurants again!

Primo is a great escape from the resort to enjoy some fine dining. The Happy hour during the week is fantastic and a great way to start the evening. Good wines (although selection could be increased) and fresh from scratch food is scrumptious.

The first course of roasted green tomatoes and arugula soup was wonderful. The second course of margherita pizza was terrible. It had no flavor and the crust was soggy. Everything else about the evening was wonderful.

Great service in a lovely atmosphere, but kitchen does not understand the concept of hot food. We returned both of our meals and they were brought back from the kitchen warmer, but not hot. I expect better from a fine dining restaurant.
