Wonderful foie gras appetizer. Excellent service by Jessica. Great evening.
Me and my wife went to Primo for Valentines great experience with staff good tasting food in between meals took a very long time. If you have a Lotta time on your hands that is a great place to visit if not I recommend signature Grill on the same property JW Marriott progress. Same great taste in food for a lesser price .
Just outstanding service, food, atmosphere, everything. Could not have been more pleased.
We usually don't go out on Valentine's Day because the experience ends up a disappointment. We were visiting the Tucson area so we decided to try Primo. It is a bit of a drive to get to the resort, but worth it. The scenery is beautiful and the restaurant situated for a view of the saguaro covered hills and mountains. Our server was wonderful. We were promptly seated and women were given a rose (nice touch). The restaurant offered a 5-course Prix Fixe menu with outstanding choices. We opted for the dinner with wine pairings, which were excellent. We chose the duck, which was prepared very nicely and the way we wanted it. They didn't skimp on the dessert either. Overall a great dining experience.
Great service. Excellent food although the selection was very limited overall. Would eat there again.
The food is superb and the wait staff is the fantastic. Professional, courteous and congenial. We dine here whenever we visit Tucson. I know the restaurant is named after the chef's grandfather, Primo, but it is no coincidence... this place is truly "Primo". Bravo!
Ask for Jessica as your server. She’s the best!
Really enjoyed it!
Service was outstanding. The Fois Gras and Venison were delicious. The duck was overcooked the first time and under cooked the second time. The skin was not crispy either time. Huge disappointment. But the restaurant made it right and we did not have to pay for the duck. So I would certainly return and would recommend Primo to others. Just don't order the duck.
Staff is wonderfully attentive. Food magnificent.
Always very good. Can be on the pricey side, especially the wine list.
The dining room is large and there was a large party of 18 nearby. We changed our table because of the noise. We shared a green salad and I found the dressing to be very bland and cucumbers tasteless. The duck ravioli and pork saltimbocca good. We did not have dessert.
Dinner was awesome - thank you Cerbi and Sarah and everyone else for taking care of us!
The food was INCREDIBLE! Our waitress went above and beyond! My guy had a tummy ache so she suggested and brought him bitters and soda! Sweet! Get the goat cheese cheesecake!!!
The chicken was dry and the sea bass was burned and very dry. Very disappointed.
The food was good but left you wanting. No one wants to pay 40$ for venison and leave hungry. The portions were too small for me. The service and wine were great however! The scene is very nice too.
Really enjoyed our meal , our server was outstanding, knew menu well
They did a lovely job for a nice Christmas dinner. I will say that there was not an enormous selection for food, but everything was delicious.
Wonderful foods created with unique unity and smoothness. Jessica, our primary server, was beyond pleasant. Primo comtinues to be a fav on our list. Go...
Disappointed in ambiance and food quality.
Have dined here a few times previously
Not up to par.
Too bad as we love the resort and we were looking for a nice meal on the property
Wonderful service and dinner! Our server was dialed in and she really exemplified a true professional. Food prep and delivery was spot on! Thoughtful complimentary dessert for my graduating daughter, was such a nice touch! We felt like family when we left - can’t wait to come back! Thank you!
I wish I could remember our servers name. She did a great job. Very knowledgable about the menu. Great attitude. Food was first rate. The antipasta was delicious. Our Main courses were perfect. Fresh and clams that were cooked to perfection. The cannoli for dessert was a little bit of heaven. We will be back.
It was a very calm and quiet atmosphere. Our reservation was not needed, but worth getting. Very scenic location.
This was our first visit to Primo restaurant and it was incredible. Our waitress was Katie and she was an excellent host. We enjoyed the incredible ribeye with friends and it was amazing! i would definitely recommend this and we cannot stop telling our friends about our visit.
Thank you to all the staff, they were marvelous! Please tell them how happy we were, we were there on Friday evening, on the patio, the 5th of October.
Food very innovative but not substantial, one for the foodies
This was our second visit to Primo. The staff has been awesome both times. They are helpful, accommodating, fun, patient and know the menu.
Primo provided an excellent night out! We were staying at Starr Pass for a banquet and decided to make a long weekend of it. At the last minute we decided to have a nice quiet dinner at Primo and are so happy we did! Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was beyond excellent! Our server Sarah was so attentive and did a great job at making sure we had all that we needed throughout the whole night. She was quick with a recommendation and even had us trying things we would have never thought to pair together. Overall, we had such an unforgettable dinner at Primo!
Staff was very attentive. Food was amazing and they went the extra mile to make our anniversary memorable
We spent my birthday evening there and originally was to be a party of eight. Unfortunately the rest of the party was unable to make it due to flooding issues. Manager Jose was very accommodating and he and his staff salvaged the evening for us ,the food was great as was the service. At the end of the evening they presented us with a personalized birthday dessert that was a work of art. Thanks again to Jose and his staff.
I was looking forward eating here with my friend. I made reservations for the patio. I was disappointed with the patio seating. It didn’t match the excellent interior decor. It was basic and uncomfortable.
The service was not to par with an establishment such as this. Our needs were not anticipated, we had to flag staff for bread, water, and for the coffee that was ordered.
The food was good, but the service and setting made it seem average at best.
Limited menu and extremely overpriced
Our favorite venue in Tucson. StArt with a cocktail on the patio at Starr Pass resort, then patio dining at Primo.
Absolutely fantastic meal. The food was marvelous, nicely paced over the course of two hours. Never rushed so we were able to socialize with our friends. Wait staff was very good and the ambience of PRIMO cannot be beat.
The mussels du jour were cooked with sherry and bacon--delicious! My sea bass was cooked perfectly but my husband's frito misto was a bit oily. They brought back the goat cheese cheesecake and it's really good.
We had the family pasta special - 4 people for $80 with salad, pasta and dessert which is a great deal! The chef’s whim pasta was incredible! And our service was great!
Beautiful restaurant with farm to table menu. We had the filet and the chilean seabass. Both could not have been better. The side dishes were creative, healthy and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you find yourself in Tucson.
celebrated our 45th wedding anniversary at Primo...each of us enjoyed the wonderful sea bass main and a surprise dessert from the kitchen...
Went in for date night and had an excellent experience. Definitely will be back!
The menu is very well populated with dishes would like to eat. I thought the prices were good and the wine list is pretty extensive. If you're going to stay at the hotel, eat here.
