Prime29 Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
Great service, great cocktails, great food. I will say, however, that the "Oscar" option is not worth the price. The hollandaise is wonderful and the crab tastes fresh but I would have expected more for the $. I would also forego the Truffle Fries if you really like Truffle. Sadly, I didn't detect any "Truffle" flavor.
Wonderful wait staff! Food was to die for... 32-36 oz tomahawk steak aged in bourbon-soaked wrapping, perfect grilled asparagus, and the best mashed potatoes (with shrimp). Enjoyed the ambience, food, wine, and my date! Great evening!
Beautiful restaurant. Lights were turned down so low it made it difficult to see anything let alone our meals. Ordered the cheese tray for apps, very tasty. My wife ordered an 8 ounce filet and she loved it. I ordered the lamb chops medium. They were well done and bland. Also for lamb chops very small. Very pricey and not much value. Overall very disappointed.
First of all I would say this was suppose to be a surprise for my wife for our anniversary. She was very excited when we arrived. After the arrival, everything went south. After the greeter took us to our table, we were eventually met by our waiter who didn't provide his name. Not at one point were we ever asked was this a special occasion or anything. We had planned on getting drinks to celebrate our anniversary but why bother if we weren't even asked.
To me the service felt more like what you get from a cashier at a check out at your local grocery store. Even when we left out, no one said good bye, thanks for coming, please come again etc... On special occasions, I have a tradition of allowing the waiter or waitress tell me how much they want for a tip and I ablige. I have been often told that when you receive poor service, still leave a decent tip. I don't subscribe to that notion and frankly find it quite absurd. So I left a very meager 15%.
One bright note was that the food was awesome. No complaints there whatsoever in that regard. I tried to contact someone via the e-mail address and have yet to hear back from anyone. Hope someone reads this and speaks to the staff about customer service.
Good service, but our crab cakes were warm at best on the outside, and cold on
the inside. With the dim lighting found out half way thru dinner that our steaks
were switched between me and my wife. She didn't like hers as it was not done
and mine was over done
I took my wife to Prime 29 for her birthday. I ordered your steak special ($65.00) and was told did not have to order any side dishes "FALSE"---expected a super piece of meat and ended up with a "TOUGH" steak.Ordered with a "pink" inside and received a well done steak. I left a good portion on the plate, paid the bill and left.
One more thing. I have been to other steak places and when it has been a special occasion, usually receive complimentry desert
A very nice experience. Thoughtful, attentive service. Pleasant atmosphere; particularly liked the ability to have conversation at the table without excessive noise in the restaurant - something particularly difficult to find in fine dining establishments these days.
Well focused menu with diversity. Focus is on well-aged steaks (as expected in a real steakhouse), yet the seafood options met the same high standards.
Worthy of repeat revisits.
Excellent food, steaks were cooked exactly as ordered. Wonderful waiter, paced the food just right so we could totally enjoy everything. We were even pleasantly surprised with a special anniversary dessert of carrot cake truffles, just fantastic. Would definitely recommend to friends and will be back for another special celebration.
We love Prime 29 for the great food, atmosphere, wine list, knowledgeable servers and excellent management. We were disappointed that several of our favorite things had been taken off the menu like the Seafood Margarhita, and the BAS salad, but we loved the Lobster Roll and the Tuna Tartare and the Chicken Breast with Artichokes and the Salmon. We really enjoy sitting on the patio when the weather permits and we consider this our neighborhood restaurant because we live close, but it would be well worth the drive if we didn't.
This was a great find for my husband and I. We were looking for a new place for celebratory dinner's and we found it! The service was top notch and the food was outstanding as well. Great wines by the glass and the bottle as well.
My server was very nice ,Our food was recieved in a timely manner, It was my 1yr. anniversary and we recieved a carrot cake with cream cheese on the house from the staff, I will be back and tell all my family and friends.Keep up the good work
The restaurant was quiet; the booth not very comfortable. The server was very pleasant and attentive. However, waitstaff was slow to refill water and iced tea glasses.
Food was excellent; a great steak and fish choice. It's expensive but the food made the visit worthwhile.
It was our anniversary and no one acknowledged it, eventhough I included it with my reservation. We had a nice dinner. The halibut special was delicious. Service was slow although the dining room was not crowded. Our server was aware that the kitchen was slow and as a courtesy she offered complimentary champagne, which was very thoughtful. They are a bit pricey. We will return, but not for the Diver Scallops.
We celebrated my husband's birthday with the chef's 5-course dinner. Best meal anywhere! Could not stop saying "Wow"! Alaskan King Crabmeat Gnocchi was incredibly delicious. Wine pairings were absolutely great. Service was impeccable. This restaurant is our new favorite.
