Prime Italian Ratings and Reviews
Bad start when the hostess says we only have this table…or this table which you won’t like either! Hey, we made a reservation & you confirmed it. It’s not like we surprised you by dropping in. The waitstaff is rather lethargic & the busboys are kind of frenetic. They were reconfiguring tables & throwing chairs around that it seemed more like roller derby than fine dining. If you want to be rushed and/or ignored you might as well go to Prime 112 rather than this ugly stepsister. In all fairness, Julia was a lovely & efficient & personable waitress who saved the day. And by the way, the food is very good.
The meal was equivalent to other restaurants with the same menu. The service was amazing. Our waiter Dave was awesome. He gave suggestions and answered every question. He even suggested when to add pepper to a dish. Service is a big part of the meal, in my opinion, and Dave was exceptional!!
The food was excellent, as was the service. We had a 9:00pm reservation and had to wait an hour for our table. It was over crowded. Not only no place to sit. No place to stand. Food was good. Service was good we won't go back. They overbook and don't care about the customer. They'll replace them with new ones.
Although the food actually tasted good, everything was cold,( as in didn’t even warm up the tomato sauce from room temp cold ). Meat was Luke warm at best. Really got the feeling they had tons of food sitting around and microwaved just a little to get it out. Very crowded and loud, tables on top of each other - and valet a nightmare.
We had a waitress named jenny which I think is a fake name who had a real lousy attitude we took my parents and it took 15 minutes to get a cup of hot water and to get spokes for the food took another 5 so the food was cooking we didn't say anything as we were happy just to get the food ...we where there a few days ago and michael was amazing
The food was pretty good. The restaurant was extremely packed. We were repeatedly bumped into by staff as well as guests. The tables were crammed into the restaurant, we were basically on top of the other guests.
It was extremely loud as well.
The food was extremely over priced. You could definitely go for a better meal, were you can hear your party speak for a more reasonable price. Overall I would not recommend Prime Italian. Way overrated.
After confirmation of our open table reservation, twice, we arrived to be informed the restaurant was closed for private party and we were turned away. With family in from out of town we were very disappointed, and the staff/manager was completely indifferent.
Pretty lame conduct
We were never seated. The restaurant offers tables on Opentable which do not exist. When you arrive and pay $20 for valet parking, the restaurant tell you there is a 45-60 min wait. There are patrons who still weren’t seated after 2 hour wait.
The manager explains that Opentable offers tables even though the restaurant doesn’t have tables. They also blame the corporate offices for any problems.
The food maybe good if you ever sit down.
I would not recommend this place. We had a terrible experience. Our reservation was for 9pm. At 10:30 pm we were still waiting and the hostess was accepting tips to pass people in front of us in line. Total disrespect. Awful experience. We left without eating.
Waited for over an hour past our reservation. Management was not able to handle the reservations. Finally got to sit down after my protests only to find a broken chair which took ten minutes to replace. While sitting for a while s waiter dropped a glad which broke but all personnel were to busy to pick it up so they kicked under our chairs!! Food was mass produced and not good. They can’t handle a busy period like this holiday. After all these years you would think it would be piece of cake. Management was too just to care.
There are better Italian restaurants in Miami Beach!!
