We were seated in an empty back room that people passed through to the bathroom, despite other tables being open. All courses brought at once. Fish was at once overcooked and cold. Stone crab claw was small and unimpressive. Steak was undercooked, and poorly prepared so that there was no texture to the outside. Grilled vegetables were gross. Fries were soggy. Completely unimpressive. I have been many times to Prime 112 and Prime Italian. I will not be back.
The customer service was great overall. Everyone was polite and gave exceptional customer service. The food was great ! Our waiter took his time to explain the menu , and answered all of our questions. This was my first time dining at this restaurant , and definitely won’t be my last.
Very nice. Sitting outside on a warm night. Great evening.
Not enough servers so inattentive service, although our waiter was friendly. All the food was a bit too salty. Overall I expected more for the meal and experience based on the price and other ratings.
Beautiful outside seating on a quiet street was a great start to our dinner.
Relax professional service, great octopus stater and shared the grouper.
Finished with a peanut butter desert. All were outstanding
My husband and I have had dinner at Prime Fish several times. The service is very good and the food is always amazing. The seafood is always fresh.
Prime restaurants are my favorite. The food was delicious. We sat out doors and the atmosphere was devine.
The food was delicious. We had a seafood tower and everything was too notch. Our server was attentative. Everyone must finish off with the fried Oreos. They are a hit!
I have been to Prime Fish many times. I had heard from family and friends who used to rave about PF, recently have had lack luster or negative experiences. I have always loved it, so I thought I would go again. We sat outside this time, which shouldn't change the service experience, but I can report the service was absolutely not the quality of my previous experiences. And the level of service certainly did not match the high price point. The servers did not visit the table often and we even had to request our water glasses to be refilled (and we are not huge water drinkers). But the fish was superior and the flavors were delicious, although we would not recommend the grapefruit/strawberry sorbet. I still would recommend it and come back, but would hope the service was better next time.
Wonderful evening with incredible food!
Love it! We went to brunch.. food was great and fresh!
Always a great experience here. Professional staff fabulous food and service
Great food great service.
Second time going for brunch and loved it.
The food was delicious. The service was excellent. I love the ambiance. We will return one day
Great food and service but to wait 30 min to get your car from the valet is unacceptable!! DO NOT VALET!!
Promised outdoor table.. failed to deliver. Curt wait staff but got nicer. Ate by kitchen so noisy table in path of waiters.
Of course I’m friends with the owner and eat frequently at his restaurants.
I’m sure it will be better next time!!! New Years crowds!
Food was excellent but we would’ve appreciated some guidance from the server as to how much to order for a table of two. He was not helpful even though we asked - way over ordered which was a real waste of some outstanding food.
Excellent experience tonight. Was very busy and yet the staff were very relaxed (in a good way). Food was great as always.
My son is deathly allergic to sesame shellfish and nuts. We made the server aware of the issue and she was accepting. That’s an important part of our dining out experience.
The menu was unfortunately limited due to all apps being all shellfish except the tuna tartare- sadly the chef wouldn’t alter and leave the sesame out of the dish so we were unable to have 3 full courses. We split a Caesar salad with kale and it was fantastic! Very large and very flavorful.
My son ordered the hamachi snapper on a plate and I had the grouper imperial. Mine was to have wild mushrooms and horseradish sauce, no mention of crab topping...it was also delicious and rich.
We passed on desert but overall enjoyed dinner, it’s a very pricey menu, but mostly worth it!
Service was great, very attentive. Food tasted delicious. Everything came out very good. Outdoor seating is available and it’s very nice/ romantic feel
Great service... exceptional menu and food
They nickel and dime you for everything. Would never go back.
New Years dinner
Where do I begin...they had no idea of a special occasion that was put in. The first table was bad and the second table was less bad but on the street. We like Prime, but expected maybe a little more. They would only give us a table by valet, when we would spend more than a table of three drinking water. Oh, forget that it was an anniversary and we might be just peeps that never dine there. Again, special request made; the server was great and the food good. Experience not so great, and I will attest that I will never bring myself out my company back to any Prime spot. On the way out, I asked if they showed a special occasion, and the gal said I see it now are you leaving. I jumped in my Uber and went to Sardinia for champagne and drinks. The highlight of the evening. Sardinia thank you for the hugs, well wishes, and where we should have been.
Unfortunately, it was a terrible experience for us tonight. Our food never arrived after 1:20 mins. Thankfully, our server was gracious but we left without the main course. We also had a horrible experience at Prime 112 a few nights earlier. I’m pretty flexible but for these prices there’s no excuse for the poor performance.
I've been going there for years, but the service was horrendous. It took more than one hour to get our main dish after we ordered it. It was difficult to locate our server. I've never had this bad of an experience. All the previous times the waiters were funny and very attentive and the food was served in a timely manner.
Jimmy was awesome and so was the food!
Wonderful atmosphere and food!
Great service from our waitress! Food was great her service amazing!
Outdoor patio under a sprawling magnolia tree - indoor seating: dining rooms and small bar- classic and stylish. Service professional and friendly, from the hostess to the servers to the food runners and table bussers.
Great cocktail menu. Wine list features many domestic wines, fewer options for international selections.
Menu: salads large enough to share - for 4 - ! Good appetizer selection as well as a raw bar. Entrees: Super fresh fish. Great steaks. Sandwiches that are terrific as well as perhaps the best value on the menu. Mains have two formats: build your own meal: entree, sides, sauces/butters all priced a la carte - sounds crazy but spring for the baked potato (baked in salt; crisp skin stuffed with fluffy potato, applewood smoked bacon, sour cream and chives - but I digress). The Chef’s choice entree comes with sides. Desserts large enough to share if there’s room after that baked potato.
Something for everyone, though quality doesn’t come cheap. Nevertheless: it’s worth the splurge if you desire a trifecta dining experience: welcoming atmosphere, excellent service, great cuisine.
Amazing. Great service great food. A must while in Miami
Dylan the server fulfilled our requests and we were super content with everything. Food was excellent. Highly recommend the Rockefeller Oysters
Fish selections were excellent. Prime fish is an apt name for this restaurant.
Dined here for Christmas, the experience was subpar. It may have been great in past but in my humble opinion it had upscale chain restaurant "meh" vibes. Similar to many other posts, the service was consistently delayed; server said "be right back" which equated to 10-20 minutes. Server took opportunities to name drop the other sister eateries, Prime 112, Prime Italian, Big Pink and the mention of the latter was certainly a turnoff. My major gripe is the questionably large portions; serving fish this large leads me to belive it's not fresh, nor live catch, and potentially genetically engineered. To me for the prices I expect better food grade quality and authenticity. While the complimentary bread was tasty and hot, the accompanying saltfish didn't taste fresh; as comparison the one served at Monty's Coconut Grove is delish. The Alaskan king crab entree while creative was a disappointment, it tasted manufactured and quite frankly like a frozen food. There were two different temperatures throughout my eating the dish. The sauce is quite rich which isn't a negative it's just the quality. I know restaurants prep, freeze and reheat food to expedite service but this execution felt like an attempted leveled up Red Lobster. Server recommended to pair with an acidic white wine, a Pinot Grigio, which was good enough, and did balance the meal. I know there are many fans of this eatery with positive reviews however I just don't trust their supply chain and nothing was compelling enough to make me come again nor recommend it.
The food and our waiter were truly incredible yet the experience was tainted by the process of getting to the table. The hostess did not honor the outdoor reservation nor did she seat us in a timely manner. We waited 25min for an 8:45 reservation and sat indoors which was very loud. We informed her that we had a young child with us and that it was already late to which she responded coldly that this was a holiday. However, once seated our waiter was outstanding and got our food out ASAP.
It’s not Prime 112. Which I don’t understand. Quality of food and vegetables not same.
I won’t go back!! Too many better restaurants in South beach for this price!
If you want fish, Milos or Forte de Marmi !!
AMAZING!!! Highlights were shrimp cocktail, miso-marinated Chilean sea bass, and the warm pudding s’mores dessert. Everything about the evening was fantastic.
Great food and service
