1. Had a reservation ( arrived on time ) & was sat 30 mins later.
2. Our waiter ADRIAN. worst customer service I have ever experienced on south beach. We dine regularly at the prime restaurants and never an issue and well taken care of. But It’s such a shame that our perspective of the prime resturant has changed. One of the reasons were he was mainly chit chatting with another group of men instead all the time instead of re filling water and even taking our order.
3. The food was great so hats off to the chefs it’s not their fault for the service. I hope the service gets better for the restaurants benefit.
Overall Energetic and fun place. Food is very good and fresh. Service is great and employees are pleasant. Prices are a bit high for some of the items. Not somewhere the working class can go to weekly, but a place to try at least once.
We went for a family member’s birthday. The food was great but the best thing ever were the fried Oreos...don’t leave without trying them.
Loved the atmosphere and the food and the waitress , will definitely go again
Four of us visited Prime Fish as part of Miami Spice and it did not disappoint. The appetizers were delicious. We each got a different one, including the ceviche, calamari, tuna poke and lobster bisque. Of the four, I would say the poke and the ceviche were the most tasty. For the entres, we chose the Alaskan King Crab Lasagna, Wok Charred Wild King Salmon, and two orders of the Crispy Curried Branzino. They were all delicious, but I would probably get the Branzino next time. It was a large portion and it was well breaded. I would have preferred roasted, but that's how it comes. Desert choices were simple, but the Chocolate Pudding S'mores were probably the best. No one at our table left Prime Fish hungry. I can't say the same for some other Miami Spice restaurants that feature "gastronomy" dishes, where the portions are smallish. Try Prime Fish. You won't regret it. We're trying Prime Italian next!
15/10 best brunch possibly on the planet.
The food is very good and portions are big. Reviewers are correct that you need to request the Spice Menu, it should be offered. Overall very good food and large portions also very good service.
The food was just ok. Nothing to write home about.
Prime fish is always my favorite place in south beach!
The alaskan king crab lasagna was spectacular! Honestly one of the best dishes I’ve ever had at a seafood restaurant. The hartford chardonnay paired well with it. The staff was very courteous and never left me with an empty cup of water. My only complaint would be that they do not use the full restaurant unless they have a full house, so while I came on a random Tuesday and the restaurant looked empty from the street, I had to sit shoulder-to-shoulder with the other 6 groups there. I could literally hear everyone else’s conversation and had to raise my voice just to speak to my date. There isnt a lot of space between tables either, so it was very packed, despite the fact that the restaurant was relatively empty :/
So in summary, the food and service is A+. Just dont expect to have much personal space!
Went to celebrate my husband’s 35th bday. Had a great time and food was excellent. We took our servers suggestion on getting the 3 lbs red snapper. It was excellent. I did expect more in ambience given the price point of the food. Other than that I enjoyed our time and service and will be back.
Celebrating my mother-in-law’s birthday.
Try to make fish with fancy recipe but traditional simple methods much better
The service and food quality was good. My issue was the server did not explain the preparation of a dish when asked. He explained the entree was a crispy fish and when it came to the table it was fried, which I did not at all want. Additionally it lacked seasoning, flavor and a poorly composed dish where the flavors were not working together. He refused to do anything about it and said it was my fault I didn’t ask if it was fried. First and last time to this establishment.
Went for Miami Spice and very much enjoyed it. Our party was big enough to sample everything on the menu. Service was impeccable and informative.
Best lasagna on the planet 🌎
One of my favorite restaurants ever. They have the best Miami Spice menu in town. Yum!!
We went for Miami Spice. Outstanding meal, service was exceptional.
The desserts where not good !
We visited PF about 3 weeks ago and had an UNBELIEVABLY GREAT dining experience. So good that I was willing to drive over an hour again to see if lighting could strike twice. IT DIDN'T. I am certain that more mistakes get made when a restaurant is not busy. Bar was good (crazy expensive though), All else was just EH - greeting, service - clumsy bussing, disengaged serving; food for 5 came out staggered, not hot; had to send my dish back 2x, coffee came without a cup! this occasion was a special dinner for the family - my son's 21st birthday - and PF's reservation service even called to confirm early in the day - so I was expecting the guns. But when it came time for desert --NOTHING. Last time we were there, they sent out a dessert to a nearby table with a sparkler. This time the table next to us had a birthday too - and they brought out a sad scoop of ice cream with a sad candle they couldn't keep lit. For us? Nada. When we left, manager was elbows-on-bar BS'ing with someone. Last time the place was rocking, and there there an army of hospitalitarians (made that up) totally on their game: eyes on all, smiles, greetings, teamwork. This time, not so much. Oh - and the $15 valet? Really? What would they do if the restaurant was busy? 2 guys, no light, did not speak English. Waited 1/2 hour for my car. Very disappointing, expensive second visit.
Extremely good meal. Only one minor irritation: we had to ask for the Miami Spice menu. They should have been given to us automatically. The same happened to other guests. However, once we got beyond the menu, the experience and quality of food was excellent.
Not very special place to celebrate anything..food was good server looked like she was out of it.. she didn’t do anything special for a birthday but put a candle in dessert .. just not treated special for an occasion..one bathroom stall for the whole restaurant...server was not knowledgeable..lobster bisque was delicious as well as the fried Oreos...decent place but now worth spending a birthday or any celebrations for that matter..
Nice place. Beautiful outdoor seating area. Food was great, dessert not so good. Not worth it. Too rich and thick, nothing outstanding
My food was very good; I ordered dishes that I had before. On the other hand my friend was steered by the waiter to have 2 dishes that she didn’t enjoy. She said that the branzino was too peppery. He recommended it but did not tell her how it was prepared. He didn’t come to check on us & at the very end of the meal he asked if she liked it. She explained that it was too peppery & he half-heartedly asked if he could get her anything else. In his defense, order what you like, not what the waiter recommends.
The food from the Miami Spice menu was delicious all across the board and exceeded our expectations, however, I cannot say the same for the service or the seating. We first requested to sit inside but when the hostess walked us in there were no tables available and sat us outside where the flooring was uneven. The chairs and table were not leveled making it somewhat uncomfortable. The waiter tried to fix the table but I would have preferred the option to move to a different table. The waiter’s presence was minimal and he seemed to be paying more attention to the table next to us. I requested a birthday candle or a happy birthday in writing on my date’s dessert in my reservation requests but that was ignored and the table next to us was also celebrating a birthday and got a candle in their dessert. It just felt like the service provided was the bare minimum and not characteristic of the Prime brand.
Great food, great location.Would go back. Grouper was outstanding as well as the salmon.
Diners must ask for MIAMI Spice menu; otherwise, only received regular menu. Food is excellent. We would prefer to not have waiters constantly checking to remove bread and first course. When we asked why this happens, we were told that is how management trains staff. It interrupts flow of conversation. Service was otherwise very good.
The food was good but nothing to rave about. For being part of the Prime chain I had quite high expectations. The outside area is beautiful and a very nice ambiance. I went for Miami spice and had a nice time, but wouldn’t pay full price to eat there.
We ate on the outdoor patio under the most amazing tree canopy. Gorgeous setting! Our service was warm and genuine and the food was outstanding.
We enjoyed the spice menu 2019. Very nice choices, very generous portions, good food, friendly service in a French Brasserie kind of ambience.
i'm a 20yr devotee to Miles's restaurants. in fact, Nemo was my favorite restaurant in Miami for probably a decade. Prime Fish has ALWAYS BEEN EXCELLENT. but this visit produced one of the worst meals i've ever had. the tuna tartar looked like white fish with a little bit of pink in it. it tasted literally, disgusting. they took it off the bill. the bread, which is normally excellent, was luke warm at best. the fish dip they give you, was warm-literally warm. it was awful. the cauliflower was so over-sauced, it was like a first year home-economics class decided to make the recipe and didn't realize that you shouldn't oversauce the hell out of food. it was the worst side dish i've eaten for at least 5yrs. i can't think of something that was so bad. the service was EXCELLENT. the restaurant appearance is totally run-down and needs a major refresh. the crowd was, as is typical for a weekend, fairly misbehaved, but interesting.
Service was painfully slow!! We had reservations and were sat pretty quickly. Once seated, it took 45 mins to get water! We asked for our server multiple times and finally asked a random waiter to please bring us some water. Our server did come around twice to say he was very busy and to please be patient. After about 20more mins of waiting to place our order, we waved down our server and asked him to please take our complete order; drinks, appetizers, entree and dessert. The drinks took sometime to come out and when they finally did, we asked for at least some bread. We were a party of 4 and we were all famished at this point. Once the appetizers came, the food service was good and the actual food was amazing!! Honestly, for almost $600, I definitely expected better service. Although the food was delicious, the service will deter me from coming back.
Great food, great service ! Highly recommend.
Richard was our server and he was nothing short of amazing. He made us feel like family. Such a sweetheart!
Great service and excellent food, Thank you
Excellent, good fish, bread and all!!!
Absolutely amazing. I love dining here when in Miami
Great place amazing food
We had booked an indoor table for lunch (the option was clearly marked on Opentable). We were given a table outdoor, and told rather curtly by the very unwelcoming hostess that our reservation was just a request, not a choice as to indoor/outdoors. (this should be clarified on the app). Twenty minutes into our (slightly overpriced, but generous) buffet brunch, it started raining on our table. No one helped us. We moved to another table ourselves, still outside but partly covered (see photos). No one apologised or helped until we had to complain, about 15 minutes later. We asked to speak to the manager. He was too busy too see us. But the brunch was eventually offered for free, and we left after leaving a tip to our server (it was clearly not his fault that this place is so badly prepared for something that must have happened before in Miami and that you can check on any weather app — we had booked inside for a reason).
Great experience. Great variety.
