The hostess Maria found us a wonderful table which we waited a little bit for outside by the water... I made this reservation two weeks in advance because we have been having trouble getting a reservation on the outside terrace..we ordered tuna poke was delicious salad drinks and two entrées..
The pecan trout was excellent not over cooked which we asked them not to however my sweet potato grouper came and I barely could see any sweet potato on the crust.. when I tasted it it not only had no flavor at all and was dry .... I had the sauce put on the side which was delicious rum honey but the fish was dry.. I have eaten here several times and always order the same fish on the menu... prepared the exact same way..The waiter sent the manager to our table and speaking without even introducing himself other than that he was the manager. “Joe” ... very condescending man who told me that the fish was cooked perfectly and that if I wanted to order something else he advised me not to order any fish because it would be coming out the same.. when I proceeded to tell him that the fish was dry and tasteless he said that I was entitled to my opinion .. Just cause something looks good it was TASTELESS AND OVERCOOKED ..very very insulting ..total business and extremely disrespectful man..I felt so insulted and embarrassed.. regardless of what my opinion was he needed to keep HIS opinion to himself.. He could’ve perhaps help me pick out something else that I would’ve enjoyed better and made a suggestion but instead he continued to tell me repeatedly that I was entitled to my opinion as he is his....he ruined a beautiful evening with my 91-year-old mother and I chose not to order any thing else..this restaurant is hit and miss all the time I have ordered this dish several times and never had a problem however as far as the service and the like it is definitely hit or miss..
So Mr. manager I’m entitled to my opinion and this is MINE ..
4 of us. Oysters were the best thing we ate
Everything was delicious! We ordered an Apple coffee cake dessert for the birthday girl , and it was enough for all 5 of us to take a few bites. It was a beautiful day out on the patio.
Perfect venue for date night! Sat outside and enjoyed the water view. We were safely distanced from others and all staff stayed properly masked. I tried Escargots for the first time. Very good, but i found the puff pastry a little tough. Our dinners were phenomenal! Prime Mixed Grill and Pecan Crusted Rainbow Trout (very large portion). Lauren and others delivered impeccable service. It was well worth the 3 week wait to get a Friday night reservation.
The view is wonderful, the service is wonderful, the food is wonderful. It’s not inexpensive, but it’s worth the price.
Relaxing great waitress Sue. No rushing lovely by the water
Nice but your menu wasnt as good as your old menu ...clam chowder was very thick not wasnt as good as I remember more thick and pasty
Even in times of Covid, the experience was wonderful - great food and beautiful setting!
Crab bisque fishy, sent it back, clam chowder better, but nothing special. Snapper good but the seafood broil very disappointing. 1 small (3oz) lobster tail, 2 very salty scallops, and 2 salty shrimp $38. Side of Mac and cheese forgetable, good green apple crumb cake. Beautiful deck on the intercoastal but over all the food was very disappointing. Hard to get a reservation and just not worth what you spend for the quality of food. I doubt it we will return, maybe to the outdoor bar for happy hr.
Our first visit was very enjoyable! Beautiful outdoor bar area is really nice and definitely the prettiest of the local waterfront restaurants in the area. More upscale. Great menu. Our server Stephanie was excellent. Will be back!
Really enjoyed my first time !!! The food was outstanding not to mentioned our server Lisa. She has a great personality and very friendly. Will definitely be back.
Great location, great service, lots of good fish choices. The food could come out hotter and make it an even better experience.
I love that Prime Catch is still being cautious with 50% capacity. The service, food, and atmosphere is amazing!!
This revamped classic still has really fine food, fresh and delicious.
I’ve dined here twice for dinner in the past month and both times I was extremely happy with the experience. The ambiance outside is convivial yet relaxing. I’ve only eaten outside due to Covid concerns and both times threatened rain but the staff is super accommodating to move you under cover if needed. The servers are very friendly and offer just the right amount of attention. The food arrived perfectly cooked and correct temperature. I splurged on grilled lobster tail both times and I felt the high cost was worth it. The fries were crispy and hot, not greasy or overly salty. The shrimp cocktail plump and flavorful. My only complaint is that the house salad dressing is too sweet for my taste. The coconut cream pie was phenomenal, it’s now on my list of top desserts ever!
Great ambiance, our meal was delicious and the service was very good.
We had a nice table in the corner by the water. Perfect for our special occasion.
Celebrated our 52 anniversary this evening. Sat outside, Lisa was our waitress and greeted us with Happy 52 Anniversary which was extremely nice. Many restaurants ask if it’s a special occasion and then never acknowledge it. We had the prime rib which was delicious. Our only negative: we arrived before Early Bird ended, but noticed that the EB in front of some of the entree denoted that it would be $5 less. When we received the check we noticed that the $5 had not been taken off. Reason: the early bird prime rib is 10 oz not the 12 oz that we ordered, however that was never explained to us. We ordered the 10 oz figuring it would be $5 less. In previous years, an early bird menu was offered. We did not go because of the early bird, but perhaps management should be more clear about
just what EB means.
Great waterfront atmosphere. Second time eating there this week, both times the service was wonderful.
Wonderful waiter. Food was terrific
The food, view and staff are amazing. I was recommend Prime Catch by
four different individuals and am I glad. I look forward to going back.
The hostess was great she was able to accommodate us after a few minutes. The waiter Kurt was excellent he didn’t rush us and let us enjoy our cocktails. He was on top of the drinks and dinner,
I have been going to Prime Catch for many years. They have redecorated and increased the size of their outdoor seating, but it is still the same, friendly, accommodating and reasonable eatery it always was.
Great service, great food!
Excellent food great location. Felt very safe with social distancing.
It was a nice restaurant! Water front dining is really nice! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was because they did not have any prime rib left and the rib eye only came in one size, 18oz. It is getting very common at most restaurants to run out of prime rib before dinner sessions are even over! They should be better prepared! Other than that it was very nice!! Service was awesome!
Good drinks, chill vibe, great service! Will be back again!
Nice outdoor seating. Tables spaced apart appropriately.
Spent a very nice evening with friends. Great weather was appreciated since we ate outside. Excellent value on the lobster special. Kudos to Pamela, our waitress, who was friendly and efficient. Wait staff all wore masks.
Great food and service
Great food and service!
Perfect place for brunch. Great bloody marys. The french onion soup was amazing.
The potato encrusted snapper was over the top as was the service.
All our food was great! We were overly surprised. the only drawback is the place looks like a diner. people wearing shorts and flip flops. So. great for food and drink forget the ambiance.
Was seated 20 minutes later than reservation. Was told they were sanitizing the table. 20 minutes?
A great experience!!
Sat at the bar for a drink waiting for another couple. Bartenders were good. Sat down at our table. Our waiter came took our drink order. After awhile took our food order. Was very attentive. The food was very good. Haven’t been there for along time. Love the ambiance. Will return again.
We had amazing service and great food. I really appreciate it
One of my fav places! The best food best prices!
Making reservation was easy with professional person on phone who spoke very well and slow enough for me to understand. Second person was late but we were kindly accomodated. Food great!
New Years Eve. OK meal. My fiancé and I Left the waitress a generous tip. At 1145pm I Advised the restaurant manager that my keys were locked in the car and that I was waiting for roadside assistance to come. My fiancé and I stood by the vehicle for 2hrs for roadside to arrive only to watch the restaurant employees leave one by one, and not one of them asked us if we were going to be ok or if they should call the police to wait with us. It was as if we were invincible. Help didn’t arrive until 115am, an hour after the manager closed the doors and turned out the lights. This restaurant will happily take your money, but fail you miserably on the part of being good human beings.
Beautiful waterfront location. Lots of table dining options. Delicious fresh fish. And good steaks too. Also great soup and salads. A little something for everyone
