Great food and service. Wonderful place to celebrate our 20th anniversary
Reservations don't seem to matter. WE still wait and wait. The restaurant was overbooked and understaffed. They complete forgot one of the entrees and it took until everyone else finished their meals to get a waiter to come over to tell them. They didnt seem to care.
Service was good, chicken as yummy and moist, but the steak we got was very chewy although the flavor was good. The cheesiness ruined the dish. Ambiance was very nice.
What I didn't like was before I called regarding hechsher and they put me on hold two times no one picked up which sounds of anything regarding this there is no answer
We eat hear at least once a month, but this last time was disappointing. We had the wings as an appetizer, they were over cooked and came out cold. The cauliflower soup was not good, both my wife and I would not recommend it. The DelMonico steak was excellent, that was the only good thing. The service was terrible, I think they might have been short staffed, the place was NOT busy, but the staff was not attentive. I couldn't get a second beer.
The ambiance is lovely, the service is excellent and the enthusiasm from the wait staff is accelerating. Everyone enjoyed the afternoon.
This restaurant keeps getting better and better. They added a delicious sushi selection recently and it's the best in town. The owner Rafi is beyond helpful and interested in all his customers. I really enjoy going here and I go at least once a week. Best kosher spot in town by far.
The service was awful. We waited, waited, waited. Food sat under a heat lamp or something. Egg was totally over done; then took 15 minutes to replace. Waiter was clueless.
The tomahawk special steak was out of this world! Spicy orange edemame was another fav
Food and service were outstanding. Best steak I've ever eaten. Waiter was wonderful. But neighboring diners were sitting too close and one table was loud and obnoxious.
Unfortunately the service really is limited for such a high price restaurant. Had to ask for Diet Coke from 4 waiters and eventually went to the bar and got it ourselves after 30 min. Also didn't follow order specifications. Salad dressing was not on the side, they forgot the sauces etc. Overall, the food is good, but the service is consistently disappointing.
My family and I enjoyed eating here for the first time. The food was delicious and we will be coming back in the near future.
Melody was our server and was exceptional! We arrived a little early and she welcomed us. Incredibly friendly, kept us informed and recommended an outstanding kosher chardonnay, Herzog. The cuisine was exceptional and the best filet my son has had in 18 years An outstanding experience!
Best option of restaurant in the area that you can have a nice business dinner or a good night with your wife.
We ordered a Delmonico steak S4 medium rare I came medium well done plus the outer crust of the steak which was at least one third as well done a steak was chewy the service was poor we had to search for waiter to refill on cups with water table was not set with salt and pepper again we had to wait and search for waiter to provide children's portion was Tiny we don't mind paying but we want quality expect that all past experiences have been much more favorable
Food was excellent but it took 40 minutes to get the main course.
A real classy steakhouse. A bonus that is was kosher.
Everything we had was excellent
People usually say you have to have at least one complaint. So here's my complaint........
WHY DON'T I START COMING HERE MORE OFTEN!!!
Food was delicious. Drinks were powerful. Melody was so so nice!
Very nice restaurant. The service wasn't great, and it was pretty noisy.
However the food was delicious, and we enjoyed our drinks as well.
The ambiance is nice and comfortable.
The food was good but the menu is not extensive. The main criticism is that the wait staff was loudly chatting away in the middle of the main dining room while they were folding napkins, and we were trying to enjoy a quiet meal. It was early, but that should be done in a back room and not where guests can hear them. No specials were offered, as they were on previous visits. The restaurant is on the expensive side for what it offers.
Asked for a steak that has no fat and got one with fat.
Service took forever despite restaurant being empty.
Good service in the begining, worst at the end.
Hanger steak was horrible
Ribeye steak was amazing
Appetizer was good
Soup was good
Cocktails were okay
Desert was the best part
Sides were overpriced
Went for mother's day. It was very loud and crowded. They sat us at a table that was between 2 rooms. Every time some one would walk by they would bump into the table and into my chair. The wait staff were not very friendly and quite slow. They took a long time to come over to the table but they had time to talk in the corner. For the price you pay you should be treated much nicer.
Delicious drinks and steaks all with great service. Highly recommend..look forward to returning again. The peppercorn filet steak was amazing..margarita was great too!
If you are paying $150 for dinner for two ( one appetizer and two mains) it should be excellent. While the appetizer was ok, the rib steaks were not edible. The portion was thin and small, the meat was chewy and tough and had no flavor. You had to fight with the steak knife to try and cut through the meat. It is a shame that such a pretty place does not care about the food they serve. I have eaten at the restaurant several times and the experience has been the same. They should offer a refund.
As many Kosher restaurants, the majority of their cliental just don't have that many choices (or they are just used to bad food and service), the food is overly priced, never comes right (steaks and burgers were all overcooked), some appetizers should not be served to people period. The place was very busy and the service was accordingly bad: unorganized, drinks and dishes were forgotten, waiter was nowhere to be found.
Got the beef soup was really good!! Almost like a meaty French onion soup. And for an entree I got the garlic creation steak, really well seasons and done exactly as ordered.... MEDIUM
Cliquish- food was excellent. Went specifically for mergez but had not because they only serve kosher and could not get kosher casing.
Food is always good. Consistent quality and service.
Our "do-everything" hostess, Melody Goetz with her competent staff handled our table beautifully.
Services was excellent. We got the garlic crusted steak and the brisket sandwich. Both were to die for and we talked about it for days! Best kosher restaurant I have ever been to (and I have been to them all). Can't wait to go back!
The food was great and the guacamole was amazing. Thank you for a great night out with friends
We had steak sandwiches. The steak was delicious, the bread was toasted to perfection and the condiments and sauces accented the meal perfectly.
We traveled to Bistro from NJ and it was worth it! Each dish was better than the next and the service was great!
This restaurant is nothing special to write about. The food was average and not gourmet. For the price charged, one would expect extraordinary cuisine. The tables are close together and the noise level is a problem. We had to shout over the other diners. Unfortunately, there is nothing better in the Five Towns for special occasions.
Very overpriced and poor value, next time I'll just fire up my grill, at least we won't leave hungry.
Good food and stuff but we waited an hour for our food! Wasn't very enjoyable...
The food is the most high end you're going to find in Kosher cuisine. As a non-Kosher person, I won't eat the meat, but my Mom has a long standing love for the Prime Bistro steak. I like the salmon. Service is funky. Nobody in the restaurant, but they got my wine and half my order wrong. At the end, they told us, they couldn't take our credit card. I go there because my parents are Kosher and it's the best I've found in the area.
They did not honor our reservation which was for 7:15. They said we would have to wait until 8:30 or 9:00 pm. We obviously chose to go elsewhere. I think that because they have become so popular in a niche market (high quality Kosher meat restaurant in an upscale area) they feel they can do this with equanimity because of limited choices for those clients who keep to strict kosher dietary laws. There just isn't much else of this particular type of restaurant our there for these specific needs so they can afford to blow off the occasional client. I certainly will be avoiding them. They didn't even bother to pretend to regret the incident. Rude!
