Prime Bistro Ratings and Reviews
We eat hear at least once a month, but this last time was disappointing. We had the wings as an appetizer, they were over cooked and came out cold. The cauliflower soup was not good, both my wife and I would not recommend it. The DelMonico steak was excellent, that was the only good thing. The service was terrible, I think they might have been short staffed, the place was NOT busy, but the staff was not attentive. I couldn't get a second beer.
This restaurant keeps getting better and better. They added a delicious sushi selection recently and it's the best in town. The owner Rafi is beyond helpful and interested in all his customers. I really enjoy going here and I go at least once a week. Best kosher spot in town by far.
Unfortunately the service really is limited for such a high price restaurant. Had to ask for Diet Coke from 4 waiters and eventually went to the bar and got it ourselves after 30 min. Also didn't follow order specifications. Salad dressing was not on the side, they forgot the sauces etc. Overall, the food is good, but the service is consistently disappointing.
Melody was our server and was exceptional! We arrived a little early and she welcomed us. Incredibly friendly, kept us informed and recommended an outstanding kosher chardonnay, Herzog. The cuisine was exceptional and the best filet my son has had in 18 years An outstanding experience!
We ordered a Delmonico steak S4 medium rare I came medium well done plus the outer crust of the steak which was at least one third as well done a steak was chewy the service was poor we had to search for waiter to refill on cups with water table was not set with salt and pepper again we had to wait and search for waiter to provide children's portion was Tiny we don't mind paying but we want quality expect that all past experiences have been much more favorable
The food was good but the menu is not extensive. The main criticism is that the wait staff was loudly chatting away in the middle of the main dining room while they were folding napkins, and we were trying to enjoy a quiet meal. It was early, but that should be done in a back room and not where guests can hear them. No specials were offered, as they were on previous visits. The restaurant is on the expensive side for what it offers.
Went for mother's day. It was very loud and crowded. They sat us at a table that was between 2 rooms. Every time some one would walk by they would bump into the table and into my chair. The wait staff were not very friendly and quite slow. They took a long time to come over to the table but they had time to talk in the corner. For the price you pay you should be treated much nicer.
If you are paying $150 for dinner for two ( one appetizer and two mains) it should be excellent. While the appetizer was ok, the rib steaks were not edible. The portion was thin and small, the meat was chewy and tough and had no flavor. You had to fight with the steak knife to try and cut through the meat. It is a shame that such a pretty place does not care about the food they serve. I have eaten at the restaurant several times and the experience has been the same. They should offer a refund.
As many Kosher restaurants, the majority of their cliental just don't have that many choices (or they are just used to bad food and service), the food is overly priced, never comes right (steaks and burgers were all overcooked), some appetizers should not be served to people period. The place was very busy and the service was accordingly bad: unorganized, drinks and dishes were forgotten, waiter was nowhere to be found.
This restaurant is nothing special to write about. The food was average and not gourmet. For the price charged, one would expect extraordinary cuisine. The tables are close together and the noise level is a problem. We had to shout over the other diners. Unfortunately, there is nothing better in the Five Towns for special occasions.
The food is the most high end you're going to find in Kosher cuisine. As a non-Kosher person, I won't eat the meat, but my Mom has a long standing love for the Prime Bistro steak. I like the salmon. Service is funky. Nobody in the restaurant, but they got my wine and half my order wrong. At the end, they told us, they couldn't take our credit card. I go there because my parents are Kosher and it's the best I've found in the area.
They did not honor our reservation which was for 7:15. They said we would have to wait until 8:30 or 9:00 pm. We obviously chose to go elsewhere. I think that because they have become so popular in a niche market (high quality Kosher meat restaurant in an upscale area) they feel they can do this with equanimity because of limited choices for those clients who keep to strict kosher dietary laws. There just isn't much else of this particular type of restaurant our there for these specific needs so they can afford to blow off the occasional client. I certainly will be avoiding them. They didn't even bother to pretend to regret the incident. Rude!
went to prime bistro as it was highly recommended. my wife ordered the steak special and she loved it. I ordered the delmanico and was greatly disappointed. it was tasteless. ive had Delmonico at numerous places and this was the worst from all. I ordered it medium which was fine but it was plain tasting, I can do a better steak at my home on my grill.
We had to eat out in a restaurant in that neighborhood on mother's day. The restaurant is verry attractive and the menu offers very good choices. I chose a main that was quite dry. (pepper encrusted steak. My appetizer was fine and my wife's appetizer and main dish (the cornish hen special) were quite good. The staff is friendly and quite competent.
Prime Bistro is a fabulous place offering superior service, delicious foods and engaging ambiance. This is not a family diner. This is a classy establishment, with the pricing you'd expect from a restaurant that rivals any high class kosher restaurant in the city. I like to go there with clients for business meetings. My non-Jewish clients find it very satisfying, as well.
