Steaks extraordinary, lamb chops outstanding, same meat purveyor as lugers and Keene, master purveyors....50 day dry aged steaks!!! Cooked perfectly.. Kevin is a great host... Korean accented apps and sides all great.... a true gem!!!!

The lamb chop was one of the best that I have ever tasted. This place has an Asian flare, yet still one of the best steakhouses around. The waiter was a little stiff (Good service should still be provided with a smile), but other than that, a very nice spot.

I ate at their Ft. Lee location back in 2010 and loved it. Was looking for a good steakhouse to take a date to and came across their Union Square/St. Marks location. Blew my expectations out of the water! Cute place, incredible menu, fantastic wine selection and impeccable service. On top of all that, the steak was absolutely phenomenal. They bring your steak to the table and show you before they cook it - all the dry-/wet-aging is done on-site and the chefs cook it to perfection! I wanted medium rare and my date wanted medium well and we got the porterhouse for 2. They cooked it medium rare, had her split off what she wanted and finished firing it to medium well for her. Both came out perfect temp! Also had a nice palette cleanser that I can't name (some special little chemistry project concoction you 'shoot') which was brought to us on the house at the beginning of the meal. Wine suggestion by our waitress was very well priced and a perfect wine to pair with our meal! Would definitely recommend again and again.

Service indifferent and food average. How about one side salad in a steakhouse. And lose the bus station in the middle of the restaurant. WHo wants to watch the bus guy scrape dishes into a plastic garbage can.

Amazing! The steaks were huge! We had the Korean BBQ steak and the Chilean sea bass which were both beyond words! The calamari we ordered as an appetizer and it was great just as the reviews suggest! As far as sides, we order the mac n cheese and the mushrooms! Both were excellent! The staff was very attentive especially being that our reservation was for 7:15 on a Saturday night! I can't say enough great things about this place! If you're looking for more than just small plates, this is the place to go and you will leave with leftovers!! We sure did!

The name really does say it all. It is the most prime meat you can get. Kevin the owner attends to everything and makes sure everything is perfect. Try the beef jerky, it's amazing.

Going in, weren't certain we had the right place. Smaller, intimate restaurant with a subtle entry, I was expecting a much bigger place from other reviews. Not very busy when we were there, with a couple of larger parties near the front of the restaurant. Back was quieter, near the open kitchen. Calamari appetizer was very possibly the best we've ever had. Would go back just for that. Steaks were brought to us before cooking by the owner, which was nice and were quite delicious. Simply prepared, but very tasty. Sides were fresh and perfectly cooked. Owner, server and help were perfectly attentive and engaging. Recommend.

The ribeye steak portion was huge and worth every penny. The palate cleanser was a letdown (blueberry cream cheese on a warm cucumber slice yuck). I would have liked another bite-size palate cleanser after the meal. The steak was dry aged and the roasted garlic to spread was a really nice touch. If you need a quiet getaway to eat your heart out, this is the place.

I've been to almost every notable steakhouse in NYC. However, not many take the same approach as the smaller more boutique - like experience, which is Prime and Beyond. Many of the best NYC steakhouses act as if we are the lucky ones to have been invited to spend our money and eat at their establishment because they might feel as if they don't have anything left to prove. Prime and Beyond has and opposite attitude. They have been around for a little while and still continue to act as if they have something to prove to those who wander in looking for the steak of their dreams. Well, they have recruited another believer that such a holy grail exists outside of the steakhouse norm we have all been accustomed to in NY. If you are looking for an experience a little less pretentious without sacrificing any quality, go to Prime and Beyond. Kevin, the owner, was extremely hospitable and hands on, making sure we were happy throughout our entire dining experience and we were. The steak is magnificent. Always opt for the shared steaks if it is more than just you dining. Porterhouse for 2 or 3. Order it Rare. Sides were all fantastic. And, like Arnold's famous line - "I will be back." again and again.

The steaks were fabulous as were the unusually crispy fried sweet potatoes but the white potato fries were undercooked and greasy. For $12, the mushroom side dish LOOKED beautiful but alas: they were tough, rubbery and tasteless. Service began favorably in that our waiter courteously assisted our selection of which red wine to order but, after that, it was paltry. It took WAY too long for anyone (let alone our waiter) to ask us if our meal was okay. Following that, trying to get our waiter to stop for our inquiry became an Olympic challenge (resulting in 5% less tip than my usual 20-25%). Incidentally, my guest and I were surprised that no bread or rolls were served as is usually the custom for a primarily steak restaurant. Our overall impression was favorable but a few tweaks could up the ante to awesome.

Going to Prime and Beyond is always a pleasure. The choice cuts that they have are phenomenal, whether you prefer the classic porterhouse or a bone in rib eye. I would also recommend getting their fabulous lamb chops. All are cooked to order and enjoyable with their variety of salts offered. You can also enjoy their bacon strips and their Korean beef jerky. I had that for the first time and I probably will order that every time I visit now.

Dry Aged Beef selected few would be able ever to enjoy in restaurants any place in the Real World. Must try to know what "dry aging" concept really means. Manhattan Best Kept worldly Carnivores Secret!

We booked last minute and weren't disappointed. Best food we had during our stay in NYC.... That steak!! So good. Also had the lamb chops and they were out of this world. Would definitely recommend and will definitely return next time were in the city.

We made same-night reservations for 9 and were quickly accommodated! The service was phenomenal and the food was even better. Think Korean Steakhouse... You can even go downstairs to view the butcher cut meat and the freezer where they dry-age their cuts. Beautiful!

I like this place because you can have your prime steak without being limited to the usual steakhouse typical side dishes. And the kimchi here was delicious, a highlight of the meal, and a perfect accompaniment with the steak. The potato salad is also very enjoyable.

However, the Porterhouse we ordered was a bit drier than expected, and it hadn't been completely trimmed of its outer dried layer, which showed itself as a sour flavor in some bites. That wasn't so pleasant. But otherwise, paired with the very nice Malbec we ordered, the steak had that great aged flavor and tenderness that you would expect at this price. I would definitely give this place another chance when the occasion arises.

Great little neighbourhood steakhouse. I come to NYC frequently and am an avid visitor to steakhouses. This isn't your typical place of leather seats, oak decor, and a giant wine list of dusty vintages. It's a great taste of out of the ordinary, with quality ingredients and a casual atmosphere.
Friendly staff, and delicious Asian-inspired sides and accompaniments. The scallion salad was a fresh tasting personal fave. It couldn't go better with a nice tenderloin.

If you like quality steak without the pretentious surroundings of an uptown steakhouse, preferring a casual-yet-quality dinning experience, and enjoy Asian twists, this place will be up your alley.

A one-of-a-kind steakhouse with the highest quality steak in NYC. The owners have a butcher shop in New Jersey so they get all top grade beef and have the expertise to prepare the steaks perfectly. They do both dry and wet aged steaks and have a fantastic meat locker in the basement (you can even get a tour if you ask nicely). The steaks are seasoned and cooked perfectly and really pack the most flavor of any steak I've had in NYC.

Also, the lamb chops & bacon appetizers are not to be missed. They also have great kimchi, scallion salad, and other Korean appetizers to give the place a nice unique touch. Vegetable side dishes are always cooked perfectly too. The wine list is also excellent.

Prime & Beyond Steakhouse has soul and I can tell that they put quality first to really deliver the best steak to your plate.

This place is very small. There was only one waitress taking orders and she was very overwhelmed. The food was ok, but certainly wasn't good enough to justify the cost. The only thing that exceeded expectations was the pork belly. Other than that, I would say go somewhere else for steak.

I eat in a Manhattan restaurant almost every night and this is one of my favorite recent finds. Steaks and lamb chops are exceptional. Also love the flavorsome Korean spices and side dishes. No hard liquor but a fine, if limited, wine list. The family owners offer friendly service.
