Prime 47 - Carmel
Hostess assumed we were a different party and seated us with a special menu. We told her it wasn't us then she said "I know". 10 minutes later she came back took the menus and we told her we had a birthday to celebrate from our open table request. She again said "I know" and walked away. 10 minutes later we got a call from the hostess wondering if we needed to cancel. We told her we were already seated and we needed to check in. Ok, I got you. She said. After we were done, I had to request the hostess check us in for open table credit. Besides a mess checking in it was good experience.
Awesome service! Food and live music were great, too. We decided we don't come enough and we'll be back to enjoy the bar, live music, service and food.
Food and service were outstanding. Had the Chef’s special veal cutlet and it was awesome. Always a pleasure dining at the Carmel location.
The service was very good and the serving team was very attentive. We knew that we were going to an expensive restaurant to celebrate our 43rd anniversary. What we did not know, however, was that Prime 47 (Carmel) does not accept Prime 47 (Indianapolis) gift cards. There was nothing on the gift card that indicated that. Someone needs to clear up this misunderstanding, since our server told us this has happened before. Not owned by the same company?
The atmosphere was very warm and inviting from the front door to our table. We felt very welcomed and valued. We were celebrating our anniversary and they made a point in congratulating us and even had it printed on our menu! They served us complimentary champagne. The service was impeccable and we never wanted for anything. Our food was delicious. Large portions and great flavor. Will definitely return.
The staff made us feel so very special, as my wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary. We will definitely have dinner at Prime 47 in the near future!
An excellent restaurant for an exceptional steak dinner served well in a relaxing environment. The only thing I would suggest to the wait staff is to explain that the accessories/sides are large enough for two or more people!
Great service. Decent filet mignon. Wonderful atmosphere.
I treated my daughter and I to a nice evening out. I came in with a gift card and asked the waitress to check the card, which she failed to do. When the bill came she told me my gift card was for the downtown location and didn’t accept the gift card. I had to pay the bill out of pocket which was very frustrating seeing that I requested for her to assure the card was fine prior to ordering. That will be the reason I stick with the downtown location
Wonderful. The staff made the meal perfect.
My wife and I went to Prime 47 for date night recently for our first visit to the restaurant. We were blown away by the service. Olaf and Riley were our servers and they made the evening very memorable.
We got the goat cheese dip and were very happy with it. My filet was cooked amazingly and the sides were delicious, too. We very much enjoyed our experience and will be back.
I met a friend here to celebrate both of our birthdays. We chose to sit in the bar, which was perfect, as we were next to both open windows and the entertainment. Service was top notch! We both ordered from the appetizer and salad menus. Food was absolutely delicious and plentiful. Salads were perfect size and fresh. We both had baked potatoes which were large and yummy. We also had brussel sprouts. Drinks were terrific and refreshing. I'd come back anytime!
Great dinner at great restaurant!
We had the most incredible dining experience at Prime 47. From the moment we walked in the door it was an amazing experience. It was my birthday so they provided us with a happy birthday menu. We were addressed the entire evening by our first names. I have never experienced that anywhere else, very impressed. Our sever team of Ellie and Aaron were absolutely delightful. We ordered shrimp cocktails, honey horseradish salmon, ny strip, truffle potatoes, asparagus, creamed corn. Everything was cooked to perfection and was delicious. I was given a slice of carrot cake for my birthday at the end of dinner, it was moist & fantastic. Can’t say enough great things about this place. You have to experience it for yourself. Impeccable service the entire evening. Thank you for making my birthday so special. Loved the hugs, too. Will definitely be back to see you again. Please open a location in the Metro Detroit area so we can dine with you more often.
The food was fantastic, and sitting outsides was a quiet and pleasant experience. However, I did not appreciate how our server pushed us to order more and more food and recommended a glass of wine that cost more than double the one I asked for, which was out of stock. I felt like she was too pushy and it made the experience feel tacky.
Baz(spelling?) and Riley were aces. Sea Bass and ribeye were wonderful. Surprise desert (which we didn’t need) was super.
The service was excellent at Prime 47. The food was even better.
Excellent food but the loud, live music clashed with my expectations for a quiet luxurious dinner. Nonetheless once we adjusted our expectations we had an incredible meal with good service and flavorful food. Easily on par with the best downtown steakhouses, and superior to most.
My wife and I Celebrated out 19th Anniversary at Prime 47. We don't live in the area and was visiting from Michigan. This was out first time at Prime 47. It was so fantastic. We did not order from the menu, we told them what we wanted and they put together an outstanding 5 course meal for us. What great service. After we ate, we went to the bar to have an after dinner drink. Much to our surprise, a one man band was playing. We danced and listened to great music. I wish we had a Prime 47 in Michigan. Great job to the staff/chef/bartenders and so on. Thank you for making this evening one to remember.
28th Anniversary spent listening to loud music and a table of drunks yelling Opa throughout dinner. Every other table in the restaurant were complaining but nothing done.
Supposed to have two servers according to the first server. Saw 1the one at the beginning then he became overwhelmed with the other tables. Never saw the supposed 2nd server. Ran out of water, cocktails, bread and no one noticed. Bus Boys everywhere but not willing or allowed to get water, bread, wine or cocktails. Have been to Prime47 multiple times. Not even close to the experience of the past.
Tried for 10 minutes to order bottle of wine but no one around. Finally just happy to get a glass of wine 5 minutes after my steak arrived. This is a steak house right? I was afraid to ask for a bottle at that point ... figured I would be done eating before it arrived.
New management possibly? Now worth the $250 I spent for two dinners when I let them know it was our 28th Anniversary in advance. Expected a relaxing dinner in an environment that speaks to the amount you pay ... felt more like being at BW3’s during playoffs.
We went here for our anniversary and sat outside. Our server was great and so was the food. This is not s place we would go unless it was for a special occasion.
The restaurant was loud. The light over our table was burned out so it was very dark. Tables were so close to there that staff was continually bumping my chair as they moved around the room. Steak was excellent. Mashed potatoes were good. Asparagus was too salty. Broccoli was undercooked (even for al dente) and completely unseasoned.
We went for Mother’s Day we have always had wonderful good and service. Yesterday was a disaster. One person in our party ordered her steak totally plain. That meant no salt no pepper or any other seasoning. She was very specific. The server repeated what she wanted but when it came out it had both salt and pepper on it. It was sent back and replaced. Another person ordered shrimp scampi. When it came out it was cold. They took it back and replaced it with a “ fresh dish”. It was hot but so overcooked that the noodles were gluey and the shrimp was tough as everything was over cooked. The manager comped the scampi meal. On top of that no one came back to ask if we wanted coffee or desert and we had to ask for our bill. What a disappointment for a special occasion
Overpriced. Not worth the money or the wait. Service was ok but nothing special.
Always wonderful dining experience Good service.
Food, service, wine were all impeccable. Great venue for our Mother's Day celebration. Thank you
Too large, too busy, loaded with children. This may have been the wrong time to visit (Mother’s).
It took some time to get seated even though we had reservations. It’s understandable considering it was Mother’s Day. The food wasn’t hot, nor was it a great selection. We only saw our waiter once, so we only got one glass of water to drink for the entire meal. It seemed the bigger tables got more attention over the smaller tables (ours being a party of 3). I guess I expected more being such an expensive brunch. Desserts were mediocre. Also, what’s the point of telling open table it’s your birthday/Mother’s Day and Anniversary if the restaurant doesn’t look at it? My first experience could’ve been better there. I wasn’t wow’d by any means and i don’t think it was worth the price we paid for brunch at all. I’ve had better paying at a $27pp brunch.
We were really disappointed in our experience at Prime 47 - Carmel. It was Mother's Day and I'd noted in my reservation that we wanted to order off the main menu. We're not brunch people. When we arrived, we found that menu service was not available. Because we weren't going to be able to get in somewhere else at that point, we stayed and had the buffet. It was nothing special. And for the cost, as a general rule, they really ought to automatically replace your silverware between your main meal and dessert. While our server who brought drinks and shrimp cocktail was friendly and she tried, it just wasn't the Mother's Day I wanted my mom to have.
We attended 12:30 brunch on Mother’s Day, since we are ‘regulars’ at Prime we assumed it would be fantastic. Upon arriving we were seated immediately, as always everyone was and continued to be congenial. ALL of the food was literally ice cold from the over cooked eggs Benedict to the prime rib, the offerings were near empty when anyone in our party went for food, lastly the desserts were actually frozen...all of them.
Loving P-47 means we’ve come to expect YOUR usual high standards, Mother’s Day was definitely not what we’ve come to know and love. My family was less than impressed with my choice of brunches for this celebration.
Dined here for Mother's Day Brunch. It was a buffet which is what we were looking for. Upon arrival, I noticed the line for the buffet was HUGE. As I stood there waiting for our table to be ready, I noticed there was only one (1) buffet line and 90% of the items were on one (1) table. We were finally sat and offered coffee and then got up and waited in the HUGE line. Finally got to the food. There was no system to the offerings. First item was bacon. Then potatoes. Eggs were at the end. No bagels. No toast. Sausage was awful. They had a carving station with roast beef and the pieces were well done so unable to eat that. Fruit was behind us so if you wanted fruit, you had to circle back and walk in between others trying to get their food. Returned to the table but had to fight through the people waiting in line and waiting for a table. Very disorganized. Coffee was cold. Was able to ask for more. Still cold. Most certainly could not go back for seconds since the line was HUGE. At the end, our server asked us if we wanted an omelet or shrimp cocktail. I asked if that was included in the price and he said yes. I then said had we known that, we would have made different choices. He said he was sorry. This might be a good place for dinner but for a special brunch? There are many others. Eddie Merlot's is also a steak place but does a fantastic job with their brunches. No wait. Very organized. Food is good and hot. We will not be going back to this place for brunch ever.
A short wait after dinner reservations were pushed back. Everything was great. Service, food, atmosphere. A great Andretti anniversary wine! Highly recommend
We had our daughter’s graduation dinner here. It was very busy, which is fine, but the noise level was so bad that we couldn’t even talk to each other without yelling.
We had some food issues as well. We had one steak that was really tough and another that was over cooked. Then we ordered cheesecake and it came out frozen. They did take the the cheesecake off of our bill and gave us a cookie dessert. Over all it was very disappointing! I doubt we’ll go back anytime soon. :-(
We went to Prime 47 to celebrate Mother’s Day. Everything was delicious from the apps to the soup to our entrees & sides to the (OMG) super cookie!!! We’ll be back.
I thought the place was really nice, but they need more staff to cover the service areas. We had to track down servers to get drink refills or order food. The place is nice, but be prepared to wait for everything. The cost is expensive for the food options offered especially if you are not ordering a steak or the special. Also, the website has vegetarian option, but no vegetarian plates. Overall I enjoyed my dining experience besides the waiting.
This was our first time at Prime 47. It was the perfect place to celebrate a birthday! The wait staff made us feel welcome and were very talkative and friendly. The food and drinks were amazing! I loved the personalized menu, complimentary champagne and dessert - it really made us feel special! Thank you for such a wonder experience!
Excellent food, we just so happened to have reservations the same night as "Prom Night" so the servers were quite busy and the orders took longer than normal. However, the food was excellent! Would have been a 5 star for service but the server really pushed us away from the wine we wanted to one he recommended, when we just wanted the wine we wanted. he did not seem to realize how pushy he was.
Regardless, an enjoyable evening with friends, wine and great food!
The service was terrible. We had to wait what I thought was too long between each serving. My wife's steak was under cooked. Then to top off the whole experience they charged me for a more expensive steak and also charged me extra for my drinks. The manager never came to the table too apologize.
Food was excellent
Waiter was friendly, attentive but not overly so . Food came as ordered and timely.
Steaks were all very good and prepared as requested. I thoroughly enjoyed the French Onion soup too.
