Prime 47 - Carmel
Loved it! We had such a great time and everyone treated by daughter like such a princess. We were celebrating her straight A's. We typically dine at Sullivan's about once a week but we will be moving that dinner to Prime 47!
Great food and service
Living in Carmel, was looking forward to trying Prime 47 and went for my wife's birthday. Service was initially very good then feel off. Appetizer was very good as were our drinks from the bar. Service then fell off and we waited quite a long time for our meal on a night that did not seem that busy. My wife's meal was very good. My tenderloin trio was under cooked and at best luke warm. My wife asked for coffee and it took ten minutes to get a cup of very mediocre coffee. I know I should have complained, but it was a special night for my wife so I kept my mouth closed. As there are many other options available for special dinners out, I will not be back
Prime 47 has your typical Steak House menu with a number of fish dishes available as well. 3 of us enjoyed our dinner, the fourth thought her salmon was just ok. Service that night was a little disorganized and my finances' salad was brought out 3 times before being correct. The noise level is HIGH, especially with the music from the bar drifting into the restaurant. Overall, its not a bad place at all to enjoy the evening with friends.
Good is always consistently great. Great atmosphere
Truly enjoyed our dinner, Olof did an outstanding job as our server and the meal was delicious.
Good food, service was good, as always, and the bartenders prepared the Old Fashion's the way that they liked them. Good evening.
Had a great evening when I hosted two couples as a stewardship dinner and Prime 47 in Carmel. The staff was very attentive from the hostess to the wait staff and the owner checking on the table. The food was outstanding, although somewhat pricy. We enjoyed calamari, goat cheese and potato appetizers and had New York strips, red grouper, filet mignon and Chilean sea bass and were all very happy with our selections. Alcohol was very much overpriced.
Amazing food and service
THE BEST, HANDS DOWN ! THE BEST FOOD, THE BEST FILET I HAVE EVER TASTED !! AND THE FRIENDLIEST STAFF YOU WILL EVER MEET, IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER !!! THEY TRULY CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS... HIGHLY RECOMMEND
A beautiful restaurant with delicious food and extremely attentive staff. We enjoyed a celebratory dinner very much!
Great atmosphere service and food!! Great place to go on a Friday/Saturday night
The little things make the difference!
I wanted to take my wife somewhere other than the norm for our 5th anniversary dinner. I chose Prime 47 and was greatly pleased with the decision. We were seated at a table and greeted with menu’s reading “Happy 5th Anniversary.” Great food, dual waiter service, and attention to detail in many ways. Josh and Riley made sure we were happy in every way and even gave us Champagne to toast with. Side note: I did not have cash on me and Josh gave me $5 cash to provide the valet associate. Thank you Josh, Riley, and Prime 47 for a great evening out. The little things really do make the difference!
Visited for a birthday, made reservations for very early in the evening. We were the only ones in the dining room. Our server was FANTASTIC, very friendly with great suggestions. We LOVED his personal attention. Tried the special soup of the day, chicken chipotle. It was amazing, lots of shredded chicken in a delicious creamy base with a kick. The bread was just warm, not hot & had an ok taste. The filet was cooked perfectly but had little taste. The twice baked potato was ok too. The salmon wasn't done enough for me so I sent it back. It was ok but not a favorite, fishy taste & a bit too greasy for me. Then there was the dessert. Again, our server made it extra special by going up to an upper level window, opening it & pouring the chocolate sauce from the window down onto the hot chocolate chip cooke with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The taste was wonderful & so was our server. I'm just sorry the main entrees weren't what we were hoping for.
Great experience, great food!
Great food & fantastic staff. A little pricey though.
Tuna poke, steak and fish were excellent. Baked potatoes were stale. Service was substandard - not attentive, manner of the main server was poor, repeatedly had to ask for things. I try to go to Prime 47 for my last 8-10 nicer occasions and the experience has dropped off. More likely to drive to Fleming's or Peterson's in the future.
Food and service were outstanding. Atmosphere was great for a romantic dinner.
over priced for the food quality and service. Ambiance was satisfactory but I am tired of spending this kind of money in a restaurant with patrons wearing tennis shoes, untucked flannel shirts and diners in bare feet after they take off their shoes.
Our food was great but our service was wonderful! I will recommend this to everyone I know. Shawn was fantastix
Good food and drink selection.
Tables close together and the place is loud for a high end food place.
Food was good, service excellent and slightly (5-10%) over priced for overall experience.
Laura is just great! The music was nice too! And always, the food is wonderful!
Steaks were excellent; truffled mashed potatoes could have used some butter - they were on dry side. Wine list terribly overpriced! Decor in dining room could use a redo. While we prefer quiet more intimate settings, this is, it seems dated. While we generally do not care for large screen TV’s in the bar area ( you can watch TV at home) it did help pass the time between our Open Table reservation of 7:45 and the actual time we were seated which was 8:15.
Filet’s were great, our server was wonderful. Sit far from the bar to keep the noise down. Great meal!
Service was amazing, food was Fantastic, and dessert, Prime Cookie, was to die for.
Prior to two nights ago, we had not been to Prime 47 in a few years. And after our recent meal, it will be another few years before we return. This is a shame because we did really like this restaurant previously. It's a steakhouse chain, and there are a lot of steakhouse chains. What distinguishes the truly good ones from the not-so-good ones is the service. I know, intuitively you would think that it's the, well, STEAK that makes the difference. But if you've been to more than a few high-end steakhouses you quickly learn (or at least I have) that you can consistently get a good steak at any of them (Flemings, Sullivans, Ruth's Chris, etc.). What you can't get at all of them, however, is exceptional service. And that exceptional service is the biggest variable in determining whether or not the restaurant itself is exceptional.
Our food at Prime 47 was, to be fair, excellent. The steak was done well, and the salads and sides were also very good. They also have an exceptional wine list, which is another plus. On the negative side was the service. Neither of the servers (there were two, and they worked as a team) introduced themselves. Not a "hello, my name is X." Just a "Welcome to Prime 47. Can I get you something to drink?" The lead server, after taking our order, disappeared for the rest of the meal. Honestly, he spoke to us at the beginning and the very end of the meal. The next time we spoke to him was when I approached the server's station and asked him for a check. This was after I had asked his teammate to bring us the bill, which she forgot to do. She also forgot to bring the coffee and desserts we had ordered. I asked her twenty minutes later to make sure that she took these items off the bill, since they were never served. She said she would, not making any effort to apologize or get the actual items. So again, great food, but lousy service--and consequently, a lousy experience. Next time we'll just go to Flemings.
I was truly impressed with the customer experience for my sons 19th birthday dinner. Olaf, our server was exceptional. I’ve eaten there in the past and something seemed different and it was the little things that meant a lot.
Congratulations to the leadership in driving strong customer experience as core, it was noticeably different.
Keep up the great job. We need this level of restaurant and service on Northside.
Wasn’t worth the price in my opinion. Steak was good, lobster Mac was alright. Salad had a bit too much dressing. Saw others getting chocolate covered strawberries with their check but we didn’t get any? I would rather dine at Eddie Merlot’s or Sullivan’s.
Sean was an amazing server! The food and drinks where outstanding!
Overall good place. We will be back certainly.
Outstanding service, delicious food, and amazing atmosphere.
One of our favorite places to go, with our absolute favorite server, Laura.
Steak was lukewarm, bread pudding was smaller than small. Valentine's day and they couldn't wait to shuttle ppl out. We stayed longer just to play with the hostess. $250 later....at least we had fun.
Amazing service, food and ambiance. Our server, Bhas was fantastic and paid attention to every detail despite having numerous tables on Valentines Day.
The dinner was outstanding of course, it would be expected to be exemplary. The service was also outstanding. The waiter who took our order was professional and personable and I like the way the food is brought to the table when it is ready -- not when the waiter gets around to it. All in all a fine dining experience. I would have preferred it to be a little quieter, but it WAS Valentines day and your tables were full. The long-stemmed rose was a nice touch. Of course we will return.
Valentines Day, we went there the day before to celebrate (2/13). Restaurant was not busy at all.
