Primavista Ratings and Reviews
LOVE Primavista!! The food is exceptional! I was there for my 50th birthday with my boyfriend...his first time there. Usually the service is the best, but this time, our waiter seemed to be so busy with bigger parties that we waited and had to ask for more drinks....something I've never experienced there. Other than that, the whole experience was fabulous! I will definitely return again and again!!
The food was decent but the service was sub par at best. We waited 20+ minutes before our waiter even arrived. He then took our drink and appetizer order and then went dark again. We had to flag him down to order our entree. Long story short the meal lasted 2 hours and 20 minutes. My family sat waiting while others around us were served. There were other guests that arrived after us and left way before us. Very frustrating.
PrimaVista restaurant never disapoints and the overall dining experience is so spectacular, you are often left wondering how anyone could top a culinary delight that incredibly delicious again!
And without fail they rose to the occasion Saturday night.
First, we were given our favorite table, that I had requested only hours before. We so appreciated John our waiter, and the rest of the staff for delivering accommodating as well as superior service, without being too formal. They create a level of ambiance that makes you feel like you are the only table they are attending to!
And finally, if you are looking for the most incredible filet of beef that you could bet your life on, you would live forever LOL. All kidding aside, the perfect crust, the perfect cut size ( VERY GENEROUS) and the perfect sear with accompaning sauce comes atop mushrooms and fried polenta. Incredible! My husband has never said this about any place (and filet is his choice when we dine out) but he could not stop raving - it was, quite simply, the best he ever had.
That is when the argument ensued. Again all kidding aside, he is not a fish lover by any means. I had the fresh fish of the day - MahiMahi, atop asparagus and assorted vegetables in a brown butter sauce. The fish, which was steak-like in cut, was grilled and seasoned to perfection, and cut like butter. It was so amazing- we ended up splitting both meals between the two of us. This non-fish lover had just experienced the best of both worlds.
And George, the owner, is such a sweet and caring man. I have never been to PrimaVista where he has not taken time out of his night to stop and chat to see how everything was.
Again, Simply amazing PrimaVista. It happends every time! And did I mention the view?
My boyfriend and I came here for my 26th birthday. The view was excellent and the food was beyond words. We shared the honey, goat cheese and rosemary bruschetta, and the gnocchi with rock shrimp. Highly recommend for apps.
My boyfriend ordered the Penne and Sausage, and I ordered the Chicken “Formaggio”. We added a Veal meatball to our entrees because we heard PV was known for it - we both overly enjoyed our entrees! Paired with some wine - it was the perfect evening. Excellent food, view, drinks and service! Will be visiting again soon!
One of our favorites spots in Cincinnati. My wife and I were celebrating our mutual retirements and were travelling to FL the next day. Could not think of a better place to go to celebrate. The chef has been there since they opened over 20 years ago which is unheard of! Says something about the food and his creative menu. Service is always impeccable and this was no exception. I highly recommend this for "date nights", special occasions, anniversaries, or just a great Italian meal!!!
Family gathering to commemorate our late parents anniversary and a celebration of life. We had family from out of town and some returning home to Cincinnati for the first time in a while. The evening was perfect. We were seated as soon as we arrived. The wait staff was attentive and took excellent care of our group. Our food was amazing! We all ordered something different and we were all very happy with our choices. The view was spectacular overlooking downtown. The night was just perfect!
This was our first time visiting and it was absolutely phenomenal. It was quite possibly the best meal I've ever had and the service was top notch. I've lived in Cincinnati for almost 30 years and never had a chance to try this place. We will definitely be back.
The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere, but I was stuck in the corner by the waiter station and seeing the light from the kitchen go in my eyes in the dark room got old in about 30 seconds and listening to waiters fill waters and put in orders got old pretty fast as well, if our table wasn't so bad I would definitely like it a lot more.
