Greatly enjoyed our night out at Primavista. Food and service was as good as we remembered. The view was stunning as always.
Celebrating a promotion and had a wonderful meal. Been awhile since we were out and really enjoyed our evening. Food was outstanding overall. Started out with the calamari. Silly smooth, but the flavor could use a little spice. The red sauce it was served with was nice, but not very exciting. Split a Caesar salad served on a chilled plate that was very nice. The dinner entrees really stood out. I had the veal saltimbucco and it was perfect. The cheese and prosciutto melded so well and the Demi glacé really set it off well. May just be the best veal in town. My wife had the fish special with crab. Nice mahi-mahi with crab in a lobster butter reduction. Very good bite with loads of flavor. We finished off with the brownie that was outstanding. Maybe the best brownie I have had and paired really will with the caramel gelato. They served it with white bark, but was so thick you had to hammer it to break it up. All very good though. The dinner entrees are better than we remembered and really enjoyed our night. Add in the view and a great evening was had.
Great food, mediocre service.
Love this place. Delicious cocktail. Arugula salad perfect. Salmon perfect. Our last visit was before Covid. So much better now because the tables are not on top of each other and the servers had plenty of room to move around and not running into each other. Love how we were far from the next table and the dividers between booths. Can't hear others conversations like before. Spectacular like last time but even more spectacular because of spacing. Just a wonderful experience.
View not worth it.
It has been 15 years since I was here and there were fewer tables due to the pandemic which improved the ambiance. The service staff was wonderful. The food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed the arugula salad. We had the fish of the day, mahi mahi, which was done to perfection. Being meaty it is normally overdone. I had never thought of this fish being described as flaky but that was how it was finished. My date had the veal which was slightly overdone, but still enjoyable. The vegetables were perfect. We finished with a sorbet. I look forward to celebrating more special occasions here in the future.
Superb meal. I added the calamari to the salad and enjoyed it as a mini appetizer. The veal piccata was great--tender, lemony, with lots of capers, just how I like it. We skipped dessert since we were already stuffed. Superb service, lots of personnel always checking on us. The menu is rather limited to about 10 dishes but they had options in seafood, steak, veal, and chicken. The view is outstanding. We arrived about an hour before dark and watched the lights come out during the meal. Valet parking was $6 plus tip but worth it. Pricey but worth it.
Great dinner, exceptional service, atmosphere was pleasant and inviting. Definitely can't wait to return.
Wonderful place for all and the view was awesome!!! The food was wonderful.
Anthony always spoils us to death. It was our 50th anniversary, and we had a grand time.
What a great place! The view is incredible and the food is fabulous. The tiered seating is nice and there isn’t a seat with its back to the windows. The portion was a bit large but was great to take home for lunch the next day. Server was very attentive.
Our experience was amazing . We really enjoyed dining here. We actually look forward to returning.
Superior service and amazingly delicious food. The steamed mussels appetizer was so good. My husband and I both enjoyed our delicious mains of veal Marsala and veal piccata. The bread pudding was also delicious and unusual with Marsala soaked raisins. The wine list was comprehensive.
Altogether, just a wonderful experience
We’ve been all around the world and the food was the best I’ve ever eaten, the service was very professional & awesome. I will highly recommend this restaurant to everyone 👍
Great as always, great view, great ambiance, great service and great food!
Brian was an excellent server who was able to provide specific information regarding menu items. Our food was excellent, the view was fantastic, and the atmosphere was pleasing. We will return to this hidden gem.
Anthony was a great server, food was supreme and setting was perfect for date night.
Very charming? Service was fantastic. Operating with limited menu so will go back after they come out of pandemic mode!
Excellent service and excellent food. Always a good view! Thanks enjoyed the whol experience.
Had so much fun! Loved our waitress Annie, she was awesome!
We hadn’t been to a restaurant in a year. Since Primavista is a favorite, we chose it to celebrate our birthdays. Everything was spectacular: the food, the view, and our server. Thank you, Primavista, for exceeding our expectations!
Valentines diner with nice Cincinnati view and snowy weather!
Great experience. They do a very good job at refilling your water.
Wonderful food. Fast service. Excellent views.
Food was amazing. Great service by the staff. The view was also amazing. Glad we could get reservations! Will definitely come back.
This was our fourth Valentine's dinner at Primavista. We have yet to be disappointed so far. The menu for Valentine's day is varied enough for everyone and I've had fish, chicken, pasta, and beef and all the entrees have been excellent.
So who goes to an Italian restaurant for steak?? I do....I gotta say their filet is out of this world!! One of the best tasting steaks I've come across.
So yeah...go eat at Primavista....take on the great downtown skyline views and eat some wonderful door. I'm guessing you won't regret it.
The place felt dingy and the heat source put off an awful oder. The food seemed mediocre for the price. Service was very good and the server was pleasant.
This place is amazing! The staff, food, and that VIEW, absolutely wonderful.
We went for date night and everything was perfect. The pizza for appetizer was amazing! The price is excellent.
We will return.
We arrived at our scheduled reservation time at 815pm and was told it would be a few minute wait which we expected. As we were waiting 30 min later another couple arrived at their scheduled reservation time which was 8:45 that we overheard. That couple was seated prior to us for whatever reason. Immediately after they were seated they came and let us know our table was ready. My wife and I already frustrated sat at our seats and noticed the couple that was sat before us was seated at the best view of the entire restaurant right next to the windows as we were seated more in the middle of the restaurant. We could not get pictures and did not want to stand up and walk to the better view as it was close to other people considering covid. The food was decent but the service seemed either biased or was a bad mistake either way it definitely changed the mood of our Valentine’s night that we traveled hours to and called multiple restaurants to book that night weeks prior for. I can’t see or understand why anyone in this circumstance wouldn’t atleast question the service or be frustrated.
I highly recommend Primavista. It’s an amazing restaurant with great food, awesome employees and a breath taking view from anywhere in the restaurant.
Excellent service, amazing food and a beautiful view. It was the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day. We’ll be back!
Fantastic meal with fabulous service
Best place in Cincinnati to meet your Italian craving! The bruschetta with goat cheese and honey drizzle is a must.
The view was beautiful which made the dinner worth it. The menu was very limited. For how much the entrees were, the food was mediocre (I got the veal Saltimboca and it tasted like cheese pizza). The fried calamari was an excellent appetizer. Would definitely go again on a less busy night.
The food was amazing and my boyfriend and I enjoyed the wonderful view of the city! We will definitely go back!
Great evening - veal was outstanding and we really enjoyed our Valentine Day dinner !
From the second we sat down we had the pleasure of having an amazing view. Since it was our first time being here, the Server was very helpful to us , her name was Annie. She explained so detailed and we were able to decide what to eat from her help. We were so happy and excited! I can sit here and write a page long compliment about everything, but go for your self and see it! HIGHLY recommended!
I felt like the everything was great but I thought there could be more dinner options.
Celebrating my daughter's 16th birthday (and three of her friends) at our favorite place.
The staff was amazing and the service was very fast despite it being Valentine's Day. For my wife and I, The salads were great and the pizza was delicious. Calamari was slightly underdone but still good. For the four girls, Arugula Salad with Chicken, Spaghetti and Meatballs X 2 and Penne "Cionni". Sorbetto and Ice Cream cones for dessert. My wife had a chocolate Martini...:) Very reasonable prices and well worth the view!
