It was our anniversary. We’ll definitely be back. The view was spectacular and it wouldn’t matter where you sat. The service was very good. Value excellent and food was superb.
It was an anniversary celebration. While they would not reserve a window table and we had to wait for one, we were accommodated. Our server couldn’t have been more attentive! Great night overall.
When visiting Cincinnati, this has been a favorite for many years. Wonderful food, professional service, nice atmosphere, with an amazing view.
Phenomenal experience. Everything was incredible.
1st time there, celebrating 48th birthday. Great experience. Had group of 8. 2 servers tag-team approach.
My water glass was never empty. Food was delicious!
Lovely ambiance! Incredible view! Valet parking - nice service!
The yellowfin tuna special of the day was very well prepared and in a delightfully composed sauce. Dishware in the process of being refreshed brings a new breath of modernity to the restaurant.
Wonderful place for anniversary dinner. Food generally excellent except tough entree, but management very apologetic and removed from bill.
What a wonderful combination...simply delicious food and a spectacular view, especially at night.
Very nice atmosphere , food and wine and the view is beautiful. I had not been there for at least 15 years and it s just as good as I remember it in the past. Veal Marsala and Caesar sal with anchovies, and a brunello d’montalcino! All good
Romantic restaurant. Beautiful views. Food, including seafood, is so good. Service is good
Beautiful view! Which makes this restaurant rate higher. Service was excellent. Food was good, I had the yellow tail special, which was very good, husband had the shrimp scampi, it was ok, very bland & very pricey.
I'm 57 yo and other than 2 tables, I was the youngest person there. We might go back...
We come every year to celebrate my anniversary and my son and husband’s bday. We try to get back a time or two in-between as well. Definitely in my top 3!
Yummy as always!
For me, this is a good (my wife's favourite) restaurant for special occasions--but otherwise definitely not affordable as a regular option. Recently, entree portions seemed smaller than previously, for prices paid (and I'm no cheapskate). Ambience, service, and quality same as ever, though--excellent. We'll have to be satisfied to visit only once per year at maximum, given the prohibitive cost.
It was great. We will definitely return
We dined here for this year's New Years Eve Eve dinner celebration. We always request banquette seating, which gives a full view of Cincinnati. Calvin, our server, was informative and professional.
My carpaccio was very, very good. The veal special of the night, a red sauce and gorgonzola, with green beans--roasted, I think, was very good, although the gorgonzola was a tad powerful. However, reheated the next day, all the flavors blended very well. A special espresso custard, shared with my husband, was intensely chocolate--very good and enough flavor for the sharing.
Excellent in every way! The veal piccata was the best in town!
Quite possibly the best restaurant experience we’ve had. Everything was absolutely perfect.
We had a reservation for 7pm and were guided immediately to our table. We requested to be next to the window to be able to take in the entire view of the city and they in fact had the table reserved for us.
The waiter, Anthony was phenomenal. He knew he was talking about and very prompt. He took great care of us from the moment we sat down until we left. Drinks never were left unfilled.
The food- oh my goodness. We have traveled quite a bit and have also dined at all the fine dining restaurants in Cincinnati. This was the best meal we’ve had out of all of them.
Appetizers-We ordered the veal meatballs and also bruschetta. I’m not a fan of the meatballs but my husband enjoyed them. He said they could have used a bit more flavor but the dipping sauce helped make up for it.
The bruschetta was nothing that I would rave about but that’s not saying it was bad. It was as bruschetta is supposed to be. Good but not a must have unless you’re a huge lover of bread.
For dinner-I ordered the filet with a side of spicy pasta. Steak was cooked perfect (medium), the veal sauce was wonderful and it included perfectly cooked asparagus. The pasta was delicious. If you like a kick of heat, order the spicy red sauce. My husbands dinner was great as well. He ordered the red snapper with crab meat. The butter sauce was amazing. He raved about his dinner also.
The sangria was very tasty and so was his old fashioned. At The end of the meal, we were given a yummy ice cream treat with a candle for our celebration.
The bill totaled just over $200 with tip (20%) so it is higher on the pricing BUT totally worth a splurge. We highly recommend.
Great view of the city, fantastic food
We had the opportunity to eat a very nice dinner with our two daughters, 8 and 9. The view is amazing, the food was wonderful and the kids could get pasta and pizza. The service is very good and the view is unbelievable. Do yourself a favor and try this restaurant.
Great view, food was very good. Only negative is that it was really loud and therefore difficult to hear our server.
We will be back!
Food was excellent, service was terrific, what a view!
Good interiors, view, food, drinks and service . Casual and authentic.
Went here for an anniversary dinner
Cozy atmosphere the tables are arranged in such a way that everyone gets a great view of downtown
Felt a bit tight fitting arrangement of tables but not bothersome waitress was the gem she offered optilns after asking our preferences
Food was good : just not finger licking good
Most were there for some kind of an occasion or a quite romantic dinner
Valet was available that is a plus : bottom line ambience Trumps food
Very nice setting overlooking the city. Service was first rate. Meals were delicious and properly proportioned. Glad we went!
Delicious food, amazing view, and impeccable service! We never had to ask for anything. We will be coming back to our new favorite Italian restaurant!
Overall we had a great time, it was very loud in the dining room area, and we were one table away from the kitchen that didn’t help. Our server who was VERY sweet, was extremely soft spoken and no one at our table could hear him the entire night even after asking him to repeat himself several times. Our meals were delicious, even though one in our party sent her food back - personal preference not the restaurants fault. They fixed the issue straight away and even came back to check in. Dessert was my favorite part, the bread pudding and the Tuscan brownie were amazing! I would dine again, but ask for a table away from the kitchen possibly.
Online booking made it so easy to get a table! I like the valet parking as we were running close. We were seated immediately and had a beautiful window view. Full moon overlooking this city made for a very romantic dining experience!
My best friend and I were celebrating my birthday, Christmas and her visiting back home from London. The food was amazing. Our server, Calvin, was so nice and attentive. I even got a special birthday treat! The view, of course, was spectacular.
We celebrated my husband’s birthday at Prima Vista. The food was fabulous, excellent service and had a great view of the city!
A very enjoyable meal with friends. A little less attention from our server than is expected, but that was partly due to other patrons who had to have the waiter's full attention. However the waiter needs to be able to find a way to politely excuse himself to take care of his other tables. Enjoyed the walnut pesto.
Incredible place the view
The service was exceptional
We had Mahi mahi
It was alittle better then ok.
The bread and butter was extremely fresh
Pasta was superb
Will definitely be back
Always an awesome experience. Me and my wife absolutely LOVE coming here.
This was our first visit to Prima Vista and we really enjoyed it. The food was excellent, a bit pricy, but very tasty. The view of the city was beautiful. Atmosphere was a little noisy, but was okay. Wish we would have gotten a window seat to take pictures, so maybe next time will request one.
Possible the best restaurant I've ever visited in 70 years!
It was a great first time!
Outstanding as usual. Had the mussels as an appetizer and salmon and a pasta.
It would be difficult, probably impossible, not to have a great experience at Primavista. The food is always delicious, imaginative, presented beautifully, and the portion sizes are perfect. One of the great pasta fagiloi recipes ever -- think bacon! I had the fish special, red snapper, and it almost melted in your mouth. The server was perfectively attentive and helped guide us through the extensive menu. The wines-by-the-glass menu could be a bit more expansive, but it was adequate. We had espresso, gelato and creme brulee for dessert, winners all. Finally, even if you find the food merely very good, you will love the spectacular view of downtown Cincinnati, especially as the sun sets. This restaurant should be on your top-10 Cincinnati fine dining spots at least twice per year, and I would think even more.
Food always delicious and good service. Have been going there for years. Frank and Joan run a great restaurant which has a wonderful view of the city.
It was our daughter’s birthday. We had a party of 7, 6 adults and our little boy who is in a wheelchair. Our table was very accessible with lots of room to maneuver his wheelchair and an absolutely beautiful view of the city. The service was excellent and the food and cocktails were fabulous.
