Primarily Prime Rib - South Point Casino Ratings and Reviews
We cannot think of any part of the meal that wasn't excellent and we are seasoned diners. Generous sized prime rib, huge perfectly baked potato and prepared at the table, cold and crisp tossed salad. Add to this an ample sized glass of Cowboy Cab and it added up to a delightful dinner. Service was excellent!
We were in the mood for prime rib but did not want to venture out to the central strip, fight the traffic and pay for parking. I read positive reviews and since we were only two miles from "South Point" Hotel and Casino figured why not. The restaurant interior is quite nice! We made reservations, seating was immediate. The Hostess was very friendly and didn't rush us to our table as my wife has mobility issues after suffering from a stroke. They a good size menu but we were there for the prime rib. We had a wait staff of two women who provided excellent service. We ordered the 10 oz prime rib @ $19.95. It included Fresh wonderful sourdough bread, a table tossed salad, and a huge baked potato. When the prime rib arrived my wife and I took a bite and agreed this was indeed the best prime rib we have had in recent years! We definitely made the right choice!
Always an enjoyable meal, the only reason I gave 4 stars on the food was my mistake in ordering the chicken - stick with the prime rib, any cut, and you will not be disappointed. We eat here about 6-8 times a year for the past several years, and it is always a good experience. The staff is great, from the manager, Stephanie, to the servers and bussers - all top notch. It is a great dining experience at a very reasonable price!
Brought friends from California who wanted to treat us to dinner for staying with us. We had been there before and knew the food and service was wonderful! We were not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
We had asked for Mary for our server, who wasn’t available, but her friend Maria stepped up to the plate and was truly wonderful!
We first dined at Primarily Prime Rib when we stayed at the SouthPoint Resort and Casino, but this time, we were staying on the strip, and made a special trip to Primarily Prime Rib to dine before attending a show. The food is great, and you cannot beat the value. You get a salad, potato, bread and a large, well cooked piece of prime rib for less than $20. And it is fine dining, with well dressed waiters and lots of attention. Highly recommend this place.

Primarily Prime Rib was Fantastic and the check was Very Reasonable
For the Quality of the Dinner and the Ambiance of the Restaurant.
Have eaten here numerous times over the years. The quality of the food is good. Prime rib quality is good but not great. Other menu options have always been good. Price is very reasonable and the ambiance is very nice. Recommend reservations as sometimes the rodeo or other large venues are in town and it can get very busy.
Service not so good. Mix-up on drinks, server wanted to take order before cocktails arrived also wanted to know what we wanted for dessert when we ordered meal. Everything was great when Vanya was manager. She has been promoted to a different venue. Congrats to her. Since her departure, PPR, not so good.
Service and food were excellent. Prime rib is, of course, the major menu item and it is done to perfection. Table side salad and potato preparation add to the ambiance of the meal. Excellent bar outside of the restaurant to enjoy a cocktail before the meal.
As usual, the prime rib, South Point cut, was great along with the fantastic hot bread, soup (split pea) and salad for me, baked potato was tender and done well. They surprised my wife with a delicious dessert and candle for her birthday, as I had indicated a special occasion on the reservation. The staff and in particular our server, was very attentive and pleasant.
We have tried prime rib at a number of other restaurants, higher and lower priced, and always end up saying " why did we waste our time and money", and come back to Primarily Prime Rib at South Point. Visitor's who we have taken to Primarily Prime Rib, always ask to go there, when they visit Las Vegas here again.
