Was visiting Nashville from New Jersey with my girlfriend and could not have been more satisfied and impressed with our experience here. Absolutely amazing night out. They gave us our own private room that looked into the restaurant and really made it an experience we'll never forget. The staff was incredible: so helpful, accommodating and easy to talk to. Food was out of this world, absolutely delicious, and the dessert was superb. If I could give this restaurant 6 stars I would. Recommend to anyone in the Nashville area looking for an incredible dinner-date.

Decor was very modern, high ceilings, spacious and open. If you like cozy or traditional, this is not the place. But if you expect outstanding food and good service , this IS the place. Get the smoked carrots appetizer, the short ribs (best I’ve had anywhere) or the duck. Even the vegetarian entree was terrific, so you really can’t go wrong.

Beautiful restaurant, the staff was trying so very hard. We had big expectations upon our arrival. Unfortunately we felt the food was simply just not up to par for a restaurant of this caliber and price. We were on site for a NYE set menu so maybe the standard is better.

One of the most beautiful restaurants! The tables were set far apart for quiet conversation, even though it was a large space with high ceilings.
A very inventive menu and delicious food ,very different and the presentation was lovely.
One of the only times I took photos of the food and the menu!

Prima is a hidden jewel! My wife and I had been there before and she picked it to celebrate our anniversary because she loves the atmosphere. I reviewed the menu online beforehand and was not excited about the options -- but I was wrong because the meal was fabulous. The service was excellent, and David, the sommelier was extremely helpful. I was stunned by the quality of the wine list. It has to be the best in Nashville! A great choice for a quiet evening with great wine and innovative food.

My date and I booked Prima for a special Christmas holiday dinner after reading an enthusiastic review in the Nashville Scene. It was the first time there for both of us, and we ordered from the Snacks, First Course and Second Course side of the menu. The lightly-encrusted beef tartare that we shared for starters was extraordinary - subtle, flavorful and an immediate hit. I selected the Jumbo Lump Alabama Crab for the First Course, my date had the Lobster Risotto. Again, we were impressed with the balance of flavors , although she observed that her risotto could have used a bit less salt. For the Second Course, she selected the Bone Marrow Crusted Beef Tenderloin, and I had the Duck Breast with Sweet Corn, Chanterelle Mushroom, Farro and Summer Truffle. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, and chef Andy Little's imaginative combination of ingredients was a delight and a revelation. For dessert, we split the Chocolate Cake, which was decadent. With two cocktails, a glass of wine and coffee for her, we spent just over two Benjamins with tip, but, for a dinner this exquisite and memorable, I think it was money well spent. Our waiter, Mike, was most attentive and very knowledgeable but never overbearing, the ambience was subdued and informally elegant, the presentation of the food was artful and a treat for the eyes, and Prima provides free parking in the Terrazo building. It was an experience we'll savor for a long time, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Go!

I loved the food, service ambiance! The only thing I would recommend is a broader wine menu. While the food is affordable the wine is extremely expensive. Please put a few more bottles that are in the $50-100 price range.

I had a dinner date her just to have a nice dinner and it was great! The food is very good it is almost over priced. However, the ambiance, fantastic service, and overall experience make up for it. I would recommend this restaurant.

Tasting menu was full of creative and delicious dishes inspired by Arnold's classic "meat and three." Chef de Cuisine Steve Kolb runs a professional kitchen whose chefs take pride in their work and it shows. The entire staff is friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable about the menu. They have incredible dishes on the a la carte menu that I look forward to trying on my next visit. The dining room is absolutely beautiful and the tables are spaced so that each party can enjoy their own conversation.

Beautiful restaurant-- very wide and open. Food was excellent. Portions tended to be more on the smaller size but more than adequate- unless you are a big eater. The home made potato chips and the fried oysters were perfect to share and to whet your appetite. Crab cakes were just delicious and delicately seasoned. The wine sommelier was very knowledgeable and the waitstaff were attentive but not intrusive.

We had a lovely dinner at Prima for our 1st wedding anniversary. Everything was wonderful, from the moment we stepped in the door. Our server was excellent, and the ambiance was very nice. The cocktails were delicious, and my husband and I agree that we enjoyed every bite we took. We had a 'snack plate' to share, a first and second course each, and a dessert each (the Earl Gray milk chocolate panna cotta was to die for!). They also brought us house-made chocolates and a nice card to acknowledge our anniversary. We couldn't have had a more perfect experience. Thank you Prima! We'll certainly be returning!

The food was delicious and the ambience was nice. A lackluster cocktail menu and sub par service really affected my rating. Even with several days notice of my wife's lactose intolerance, the waitress was less than helpful with menu options and even seemed bothered at times. We likely would have spent more time and money had the service been on par.

A little to fu fu for me. The tuna was cooked very nicely; however, the taste wasn't that great. The dish came with spring beans but there was only 3 in a pile of undercooked potato chunks.. for the price, I would have liked a better tasting meal..

Was ok
Drinks ok
Food a bit bland
Wanted to do the tasting but the whole table has to participate and only 3 of 4 wanted to do it
Had better, more seasoned food at Old Hickory Steakhouse at The Gaylord which we were surprised with...the waiter was fantastic
The table they gave us was in a corner behind the hostess so it was like...baby in the corner. Beautiful place. The chefs tasting maybe the way to go,idk

Very sad to see this place close next week. This was an absolute treat of a restaurant and everything worked here. I assume it was simply a case of too many high-end pricey restaurants in Nashville. We will miss you, Prima.

I found this restaurant online prior to a trip to Nashville. I was looking for an upscale restaurant that wasn't too "Southern." The atmosphere was great and modern, the service was terrific, and the food was DELICIOUS! This is in the "Gultch" area of Nashville, which, I gather, is an up-and-coming hot spot, away from the kitsch of Broadway.
