Pricci Ratings and Reviews
Fortunately the food was really good, but overall experience was severely impacted when we went to retrieve the car parked with valet and came to find out that one of the valet drivers had hit another car in the parking lot causing damage to both cars involved. Claims were issued, but it definitely was not an ideal ending to a special night. May want to hire new valet drivers!
Best mussels ever. Has some spicy chilis in the broth, and grilled bread for dunking. Should be followed with a finger bowl, but it wasn't, and I didn't ask. We also had the grilled whole fish, served after deboning. It was very good, but a little too much oil. We did ask for fresh lemon which made it even better. All in all, it was a first-class meal.
Extensive wine list. Flavor food. Server was very sweet, checked in often but didn't bother us. We ordered a dish that wasn't on the menu, and she had the chef prepare it specially. Large portions. A bit of an older crowd, not a young & hip joint. Bonus: live jazz !
In addition to their normal menu, Pricci offers a prix fixé menu from a different region of Italy each month. These three-course menus, with available wine pairings offer a rare-for Atlanta opportunity to taste eclectic dishes from out-of-the way corners of the peninsula. My wife and I have tried these regional menus twice now, and it won't be the last time. Ingredients are impeccable, many items, such as the preserved chanterelles in the pasta this month, are prepared in house with skill and finesse, and everything is exceptionally good. The regular menu is also interesting, but the regional menu is fantastic.
Booked for our anniversary because it was listed as one of the city’s most romantic restaurants. Service was fine, special “happy anniversary” garnish on our dessert was a great touch. Found the decor to be significantly outdated and not particularly romantic, and my wife’s risotto was bland. The calamari was AWESOME though.
We sat in a cosy booth in the back by a server station, which offered a lot of privacy as there was no foot traffic. It started getting crowded after 6pm. Harrison was our stellar server this evening. Food was spectacular and I certainly would recommend a visit! I hope to come back soon myself.
We went to Pricci as part of the Dine Around program. Italian is not our typical cuisine of choice. We ordered 3 appetizers and a salad and it was plenty of food. The Funghi pizza was flavorful but needed some more oven time as the cheese on top was not fully melted and seemed more like "rubbery chunks." The mussels are outrageously delicious and I was eating the broth like a soup once the mussels were finished. The spinach and kale salad was also quite delicious and had many different textures. The balsamic onion dressing was "okay" but didn't do the salad justice. I made the mistake of ordering the Eggplant Parmesan appetizer. I didn't read the menu carefully enough otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it. Don't get me wrong-it was delicious but it was soooooo cheesy, which is how it should be, I just wouldn't normally order something so heavy and caloric if I was paying better attention. If that's not your concern, order away. It was tasty. The menu is not out of the box, but if you like traditional Italian dishes in an upscale setting, than Pricci is perfect. We'll continue to participate in the Dine Around program and I'm sure we will enjoy our next visit to Pricci.
Enjoyed the scallops with house made pesto and pasta with chanterelles. I requested low salt and they accommodated the request and still prepared a very tasty dish. Scallops cooked to just the point to retain a tender, tasty texture. This was one of the specials on the three course offer but also available as an entre if you did not want all three courses. My husband had a special salad with figs and the dessert that was part of the deal. We went for the dine-around this whole summer. Having $25 gift card off made this a reasonable cost but for these prices they need to be very good, I think when they started charging $4 for the cheese with tomato sauce with focaccia it was a little annoyance since it had been complimentary for years. Better they should have raised the revenue by adjusting prices somewhere else which most people would not even notice.
My wife and I always celebrate the anniversary of our first date at Pricci's. We have always had a very good experience. This recent experience was not exception. We had the Prosciutto and melon appetizer that we love very much. I usually eat branzino fish but this time I enjoyed the Veal Marsala. It was good but I'll probably go back to the fish, it is delicious.
Actually, the stand out of our dinner was our server Rachel. She was outstanding. She was comfortable and knowledgeable of the menu. During our meal we received word that a friend was admitted to the hospital and we had to cut our meal short just as we were ordering dessert. Rachel quickly wrapped up our service, presented a bill, and a beautiful anniversary chocolate cake - to-go. Thanks to Rachel and all the staff at Pricci's that always make our anniversary a special occasion.
This was my second time there and always, it was good. The food was outstanding. Our waiter, Matthew was very friendly. The service of all the staff we made contact with was great. Pricci will be on my list of restaurants. I will surely bring out of town guest to Pricci. Keep up the good word. My next adventure would be to come on a Thursday night for Jazz. I’m looking forward to that evening.
