PRHYME: Downtown Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
This is our 3 yr coming for our anniversary. We submitted an online reservation with a specific table and our favorite waiter and followed through with our request. Not only did we have Joel but his partner Jennifer and she was amazing too! Looking forward for our next dinner!
One of the better restaurants in Tulsa. Consistently good meals ,knowledgeable and accomadating staff and wonderful meats.
Their steak is top shelf aged beef. Their sides are inventive and tasty.
Phrymes decor is shiek modern and the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet.
A wonderful place for dinner
The service was fantastic and the food was even better. The portions were generous but I highly recommend getting an appetizer because it takes a while for the food to come out. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion but I did think the music and kitchen noise was a bit loud. Overall great experience!
The ambiance was wonderful and the service superb. Our server, Zach, was knowledgeable, attentive, yet unobtrusive in his care of our party throughout the evening. My husband and I were celebrating not only an anniversary of 36 years but also my husband's survival of a life-threatening illness. Zach understood our need to be catered to, yet left alone enough to enjoy our own company. The food was artfully presented, the duck beyond compare in its flavor and texture. We enjoyed the Charturie and Cheeseboard (Well played, Zach, well played), tenderloin filets, scallops, and duck. Accompaniments to the main course such as vegetables and sauces were flavorful, fresh, and spiced just right. You will not be disappointed.
One of the Best atmospheres in town. Food was exceptional, steak and seafood was best vegetables were a little too zesty for my taste. A quite, romantic, upscale feel. Very attentive staff without being disruptive. Prices were on the high end, but I felt everyone got a good experience for the money.
P.S. a fantastic chocolate desert.
It was a great place for anniversary. It was a little on the pricey side. We did have the 30oz porterhouse steak. Let's just say I've had better so for the price you pay it isn't worth the steak. What it lacks in perfect steak it absolutely makes up for with dessert. Best dessert I've ever.... EVER HAD! I had the vanilla bean creme brulee and my wife had some chocolate x5 cake/pie.
Though I’m sure the restaurant would dispute this, I’m pretty sure my New York strip wasn’t really prime meat. It was cooked perfectly, but the steak was chewy and actually tough in places. With Fleming’s, Mahogany and now Ruth’s Chris in the Tulsa area, I think Prhyme needs to up its game or it won’t be around much longer.
Second visit and not disappointed. Service was excellent and allowed us to enjoy the evening without being over attentive. Steaks were prepared exactly as requested soup and salad were excellent. Plan on a return visit in the near future. Highly recommend the establishment.
First time there, Joel was our waiter and he was fantastic. His knowledge of the menu and how it was prepared, including the ingredients was most helpful. Not to mention he was out going and friendly.
The chef sent out a sample appetizer that was subtle in flavor and tasty. Joel sent out an additional side dish to go with our other's so we could see what they had to offer. I can't say enough good things about the dinning experience.
I was in Tulsa for a business trip with a colleague and we wanted a good steak. Phryme delivered! We shared the 16 oz Porterhouse which seemed very pricey, but turned out to be one of the best steaks I've ever had, anywhere. While that was the highlight of the meal, everything from appetizer to dessert was fantastic.
This was our first visit to Prhyme. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The food was wonderful (as you would expect). The service was exceptional and I can't think of anything else that could have made this visit a better experience. I HIGHLY recommend the vanilla bean crème brulee. The berry compote topping was phenomenal!!
Took my fiancé here for his birthday last weekend. They asked right off the bat if it was a special occasion and gave us our choice of complimentary dessert. The service was fantastic, not hovering but always attentive to our drink levels and empty plates were removed quickly.
The food was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Overall, it was a great experience!
Our server was very knowledgeable about the wine list, and offered several tastings as well as intelligent discussion on the type of wine with the meal. Overall, a very good experience--the food was outstanding as well, from the appetizer to the dessert--the cheese board was superb.
It was very nice. It was my husband's 65th birthday and I thought it would be mentioned during or after the course of our meal so to help celebrate his special day but it wasn't. I had called before arriving to let them know it was his birthday and was told by a female she would make note of it.
My girlfriend and I went to Prhyme before going to a show at the PAC. The ambiance was amazing. Dimly lit and quiet, this was a fantastic place for a romantic dinner with conversation. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was top notch. We started with the Caprese Salad (our favorite part of the meal), then on to the 30 day dry-aged ribeye with garlic smashed potatoes, spicy Mac and Cheese and potatoes au gratin. The food was superb. Everything was cooked to perfection. It was an expensive meal, but worth every penny. Highly recommend for an intimate date night.
Good food, well prepared, but priced above its value. Typical steakhouse, which one might understand in advance, but not much wiggle room for other preferred diets. Quick seating and excellent wait service, he knew the menu, and answered questions well. The filets were cooked perfectly to order, I had the Phryme, my wife had the other preperation. My sides were better than hers, but it's difficult to avoid mashed potatos in a steak place. My biggest problem was with the wine list. There were very few French selections, and there was a BIG gap between cheaper, less desirable wines of all kinds (still marked up at least 100% over retail, and the unforgivable 3X mark up for better bottles, and none to large a selection of them.
The decor is funereal when the windows are closed, very confining. When the sun set they opened the curtains, and it was much more pleasant. Just close your eyes, eat, and don't drink wine, and you'll be OK.
The service we received from our waiter was outstanding. The food was excellent and the specialty drinks from the bar were creative and quite tasty. We have dined at Prhyme once before and came back to celebrate our daughter's graduation. The whole experience was wonderful!
