PRHYME: Downtown Steakhouse Ratings and Reviews
My fiance and I ate here at New Years Eve. Firstly, I really appreciated that you could order from the full menu, instead of a set menu as is required, often, on holiday evenings. The food was delicious - I had the corn bisque, and grass-fed filet (I loved the carrot & parsnip ribbons!). My fiance had a grilled vegetable salad (not his favorite, but he's picky about salads) and a filet. We shared the chocolate pie for dessert. No espresso or drip coffee would be my only complain - had to order a french press (still delicious).
Also - the service was polite and impeccable - truly rare these days!
An exceptional dining experience. My only regret is having had too large a lunch to sample more of their menu. The service was prompt and attentive enough to not feel well taken care of, but not constantly intruded upon. Highly recommend for a special date or an intimate evening with a few close friends. A magnificent addition to the Brady District.
PRHYME has easily become one of my favorite steakhouses. I've been three times now and the experience gets better with every visit. I took my boyfriend for his birthday on our most recent visit and our waiter (Zach) gave exceptional service. Our table was always filled and our needs were met in a very speedy pace. I really appreciated the birthday dessert with the added candle. What a surprise! This place is great for a date night or corporate function. I've already recommended it to many and will continue to do so often. Thanks for the great service, PRHYME! I will be back!
P.S.- Best Manhattan I've had thus far!
Have been there many times and have always been happy. This experience, no so much. My $50+ ribeye steak was served cold. When I questioned: waiter said “ yea, it set under the warmer for 15 min, we had a big order to get out” . I gave him credit for being honest.
Now , they absolutely made it right: took the steak off the bill and gave us a free chocolate surprise. Also a$20 gift card off any JT restaurant
I’ll be back for another try someday as they did “ make it right” and kept a patron
I love this place for happy hour on Monday and Tuesday but I took my girlfriend there for dinner and I was pretty disappointed with their smoked Duck due to the lack of flavor. It was definitely over priced for the quality of the dish and the waiter still charged me full price for it but my girlfriend had the Fillet and it was amazing. I will continue to come here for happy hour but I probably won’t dine here again as there’s a lot of good choices for dinner downtown Tulsa.
This is our 3 yr coming for our anniversary. We submitted an online reservation with a specific table and our favorite waiter and followed through with our request. Not only did we have Joel but his partner Jennifer and she was amazing too! Looking forward for our next dinner!
One of the better restaurants in Tulsa. Consistently good meals ,knowledgeable and accomadating staff and wonderful meats.
Their steak is top shelf aged beef. Their sides are inventive and tasty.
Phrymes decor is shiek modern and the atmosphere was relaxed and quiet.
A wonderful place for dinner
The service was fantastic and the food was even better. The portions were generous but I highly recommend getting an appetizer because it takes a while for the food to come out. The ambiance was perfect for the occasion but I did think the music and kitchen noise was a bit loud. Overall great experience!
The ambiance was wonderful and the service superb. Our server, Zach, was knowledgeable, attentive, yet unobtrusive in his care of our party throughout the evening. My husband and I were celebrating not only an anniversary of 36 years but also my husband's survival of a life-threatening illness. Zach understood our need to be catered to, yet left alone enough to enjoy our own company. The food was artfully presented, the duck beyond compare in its flavor and texture. We enjoyed the Charturie and Cheeseboard (Well played, Zach, well played), tenderloin filets, scallops, and duck. Accompaniments to the main course such as vegetables and sauces were flavorful, fresh, and spiced just right. You will not be disappointed.
One of the Best atmospheres in town. Food was exceptional, steak and seafood was best vegetables were a little too zesty for my taste. A quite, romantic, upscale feel. Very attentive staff without being disruptive. Prices were on the high end, but I felt everyone got a good experience for the money.
P.S. a fantastic chocolate desert.
It was a great place for anniversary. It was a little on the pricey side. We did have the 30oz porterhouse steak. Let's just say I've had better so for the price you pay it isn't worth the steak. What it lacks in perfect steak it absolutely makes up for with dessert. Best dessert I've ever.... EVER HAD! I had the vanilla bean creme brulee and my wife had some chocolate x5 cake/pie.
Though I’m sure the restaurant would dispute this, I’m pretty sure my New York strip wasn’t really prime meat. It was cooked perfectly, but the steak was chewy and actually tough in places. With Fleming’s, Mahogany and now Ruth’s Chris in the Tulsa area, I think Prhyme needs to up its game or it won’t be around much longer.
