Prezo Grille and Bar Ratings and Reviews
Too many menus for food, specials, cocktails, wine, bottled beer, drafts. That being said, food was really good. Wait staff was attentive. I would have given more stars and I apologize for calling Prezo out on what so many fine establishments can do better at.......controlling flies and fruit flies. Nothing worse than sitting in a dining room trying to keep your personal space free from flying invaders.
We are new to the area, and decided to try Prezo. What a great surprise. My wife considers herself a "pizza snob" because of all the great pizzas she's had over the years. I was surprised and pleased (as so should Prezo) that she deemed this "THE BEST PIZZA EVER".
Highly recommended. Also, Open Table is a great idea because the restaurant was crowded when we got there, but our table was waiting for us at the requested time.
We will go back again soon!
A better than average dinner at one of our local go-to spots. The baked halibut was fresh and cooked perfectly. Chicken parm was good, and portion was generous enough to include leftover for another dinner. Wine-by-the-glass options are limited, but beer selection is good. We were grateful to be seated in a nearly empty dining room so we could enjoy a quiet meal in this restaurant which is typically too noisy for a normal conversation level. Our service was outstanding.
Awesome Pizza - they offer a 10" size if you are solo. I had extra sauce with bacon and beef. Best pizza of the year. The boneless buffalo strips are different and simply amazing. The only drawback is that the pours are measured - surprising since it is a "local" place.
The food was very good our waitress was excellent. We were served our food very quickly. Hubby brought home half of his big portions. He had it next day it was very good. Reservations are recommended. Bar area is very noisy we dined in the dining room. Not a fan of loud crowds. It's a good restaurant.
The food was fantastic, however, it was SO noisy we couldn't even hear ourselves talk or hear the waitress! We were literally yelling over the noise to be heard and it was exhausting. Also, dessert took so long to come out that we had to take it to go. Not sure I'd go back even for the tasty food.
The fish in the Chiopino did not taste fresh. In one dish there was no haddock and the other person has a tiny piece of fish in his Chiopino.
The swordfish was over cooked and did not taste like swordfish.
I have had this restuarsnt catter before and the Italian food was very good. Too bad this was not a good experience for our company .
We have been coming here for many years. This time around the service was poor. We had two issues come up with our food. My daughter's steak tips tasted burnt. I told the waitress and she immediately became defensive and said the steak tips are chargrilled and should taste that way. Food should not taste burnt. The second issue was my husband found bones in his fish. We told the waitress and again she was defensive and said fish have bones. No, a prepared fish entree should not have bones. The one highlight of the evening was the manager who was very pleasant and she tried her best to rectify the situation which we really appreciated.
Very noisy even though we were in the back room...recommend going during the week...we had an early 5:30 reservation...and it was busy...however could not hear one another and the room was freezing.,had to ask a number of times to turn down the air conditioning...the food was ok but would not go back...I like having either cloth on the table or even paper....
Went here tonight with my wife and 6 month old for our 2 year wedding anniversary. Staff was nice to provide us with a high chair for our baby.
We started with Risotto Balls and Bruschetta Caprese. Both items came under 10 minutes. The Risotto balls were okay, nothing to complain about. The Bruschetta however was basically a bowl of soup with bread dipped in. Although the flavor was good, the bread was soaked and mushy.
We also asked for bread, its complementary, but you have to ask for it. The bread came out soft, but cold, with a side dish of oil that was bland.
For the main meal we ordered the special of the night, Lobster Ravioli(24$ for 6 of them) and Chicken Parm.
Both Items came in under 20 minutes. The Ravioli had excellent flavor and texture. It was a bit heavy on the oil though.
The chicken parm was okay, the sauce lacked flavor, and again, the bowl was filled with grease. The chicken was cooked good, i expected it to be a little bit more crispy, but the extra oil in the dish may have soaked it.
Floor manager was kind enough to take off 5$ as a "first customer" discount. Although the staff was super friendly, the lack of menu options(salads, chicken, pizza, burgers) and the mediocre food is not enough to bring us back.
I have been to this restaurants many times before. The food is always good. The bar area is quite noisy due to poor acoustics. Thankfully there are two side rooms if you can get them that are much quieter. Plenty of parking valet if needed on busy nights. Service was good overall but the waitress must have been very busy as many of our requests had to be while she was running off to her next task. Overall she did a decent job. She did not offer grated cheese and we had to wait for that...
Very disappointed. We found that the menu listed on their web site and menu listed on Open Table were not available. Many entrees and other items did not have any substitutes. We used our $50.00 gift certificate and sorry that we chose that restaurant. Do not think we will go back there.
We were just travelling from Cape Cod to Westchester on a Sunday night and REALLY didn't want to eat at McDonald's so we thought we'd try this place....based on Trip Advisor reviews...thought we would walk out if it didn't seem clean enough/nice enough/whatever enough....and...WHAT A TREAT!!! amazing food, great service, totally pleasant interior with exposed brick wall and soft lighting....homemade pasta the BEST I've ever had, spaghetti and meatballs to die for, steak better than the steak I had at a steakhouse at the Cape, and tiramisu one of the best ever (chef's own special recipe)...would DEFINITELY go back here and highly recommend...what a delightful and special find. whoever the chef is clearly loves his or her job...bc this was the best dining experience I've had in...a very, very long time.
Our second visit to Prezza did not disappoint, although we felt service was not quite as good as our first visit. I suspect the difference was timing. Our first visit was late on a Saturday and we had the restaurant to ourselves. This visit was at the peak of Saturday service and the place was hopping. Notable things to repeat - the bread is awesome - fresh baked and piping hot when served, it is impossible not to fill up on bread, it is so good. Entrees are great and the servings are huge. The wine list is good and the prices are really reasonable. Desserts are also great and again, servings are huge. Overall, despite a slight lag in service, we heartily recommend Prezza!
Environment: very noisy, uneven room temperature, no table cloth or placemats. Basis: no bread unless you ask, water served in an old "milk" bottle, butter if you ask- bare bones. Food: strange menu, poor presentation, average quality ( Applebee's like). Not a great place.
Made a reservation for two, but were seated in the adjacent, overflow room. Lots of kids, lots of kids running around. Quite expensive ($90 for two entrees, no salads, no appetizers, 2 drinks, and split one dessert) for that atmosphere. Food was decent, but expected much more. No bread. Has to ask for water. For this price, I'll go elsewhere.
It was a birthday celebration. The apps were great, buffalo scallops and bruschetta. Each of the 5 of us had a different entree and each entree was delish. We split two desserts, the apple pizza and the chocolate decadence. Yum again. A great evening was had by all!
