Waitstaff basically forgot about us and we had to ask someone to order our main dishes after sitting at the table for some time. Sommelier was very nice but the wine was not. First time I have ever left a glass of wine in the bottle on the table. Other than the soup the food was sub-par with the shrimp appetizer tasting like frozen shrimp with lackluster seasoning and the duck being undercooked and tasteless. Dessert wasn’t appealing enough to order and they said their coffee machine had blown up a few weeks prior. No apologies just offered bad drip coffee. At this price point they should be apologetic at a minimum and offered French press or pour-over instead of old drip. It may have been an old school percolator for all I know.
If you have read this far I am sure you will wisely choose to take your business elsewhere.
Unfortunately a lackluster evening. Uninspired staff (maybe tired the day after Valentine’s Day?), irregular food with cool mashed potatoes, overt salted lamb chops. And some very high prices out of range for SF.
Food was bland and overpriced. The Benedict has overcooked eggs and the oyster had pieces of shell still in the meat when served. Overall, a disappointing experience, especially for the price!!
It was a birthday celebration. As soon as we walked in they wished the Birthday person. Excellent waiter. He really knew the menu. Recommended great drinks. We had an awesome time.
The food and drink were great but the service was lacking! The server was not attentive and had to get up a few times to ask other employees for various things. Very disappointing compared to last time!
Great birthday dinner!
Food had generous portions but still high on the price point for the menu selections. Our favorite fritter appetizer was eliminated, according to the server. Server was very nice, but seemed "new" and unfamiliar with the menu. Location is always a plus...we love dining in The Presidio and our out of town friends seemed to enjoy it too.
I love taking out-of -town guest to this spot. The food and ambience are great and it's a bonus to dine in the historical Presidio.
It was OK. Food was OK. Service was slightly less than OK, not worst ever but not good.
Went for bruch this past weekend. Ordered the eggs benedict and heuvos over chorizo and potatoes....both dishes came out cold like they were sitting there for at least 15 minutes.
Service was good and atmosphere is great.
But without great food, not worth it.
Nice brunch venue with friends. Order the Cubano sandwich. Good, friendly service.
The service wasn’t great
My partner and I have gone here for our date night a few times now. It’s always a great experience with great food and great folks!
Delicious food and great service. I would definitely come back.
Service was extremely slow, food good but a bit noisy.
We have been here a few times. It was one of the better meals and great service we have had in a long tine dining out
The Eggs Benedict was served on crispy muffins. Never had it served this way before LOL
Aloof service and mediocre food. Maybe it was an off day, but it was my first impression.
Wonderful meal, great atmosphere and super service. We loved it all!!
Good food. Fast and attentive service. Nice ambiance.
The meal and drinks were delicious. The service was fanstastic!
Another fantastic repurposing of an old Army facility at The Presidio! Food (swordfish and lobster linguine) were great along with the service. Creative cocktail menu as well.
I love the PSC for lunch and brunch...nice menu, good consistent food, cool old Presidio ambiance and really good bloody Mary’s!
The portion of scalloped potatoes was tiny but it was delicious. Next time I will order it as a dish to share.
We got to the PSC at 5:30; I could hear my friends; 45 minutes later, I struggled to hear anything.
I will come earlier next time or I will come for lunch when, I imagine, it may be quieter.
Perfect table for two in main dining room. Excellent friendly service by both hostess and waiter. The hostess recognized me from a previous visit which made me and my date feel special. Our waiter allowed us to enjoy our cocktails before our dinner came and checked in enough where my date and I felt we had enough privacy to enjoy each other’s company yet appropriately taken care of. Overall, it was a lovely enjoyable experience and we will be back!!!
Although, everything was brought to the table as ordered, the waiter could have been a little more friendly. There was a congestion of kitchen staff in the bathroom with no regard to the customer trying to wash his hands. We found the food to be flavorless and short of our expectations. We will not returning.
All good. Nice location, good menu and service.
We had a wonderful brunch on Sunday. Everyone's food was delicious and the atmosphere was bright and lively.
Great food, nice ambiance, pretty patio
It was really nice, the food was delicious and the noise level really good so we could have a conversation without screaming:)
American comfort food in an all American venue. Good neighborhood place. Unpretentious.
Too much noise!! A small amount of ceiling sound treatment would lower the level to reasonable levels
A favorite restaurant and it lived up to it's excellent reputation again.
Salad had way too much vinegar, almost inedible. Ahi poke didn’t have enough seasoning.
Meatloaf with carrots and mashed potatoes and pork chop with squash were main dishes. Pork chop was lean, large, thick , flavorful , moist, prepared medium rare as requested.
Pork chop was Slightly salty, squash dry and boring.
Meatloaf was wonderful.
Appetizer was a mushroom truffle dish with toasted bread. Excellent taste.
The outside patio, covered and with heaters, is great. Turning off the heaters while people are still eating and talking, not so much.
This seems to be a new trend that is happening in restaurants nowadays. If you should be receiving change back, the waiter just keeps it. I find that quite rude. It was .53, but it is the principle of the thing. It is my change and not yours. Who said that you could keep it?! I just made an adjustment on the tip. So it was his loss.
Perfect place for my birthday, notwithstanding that it wasn’t a milestone year. It felt like a special occasion but didn’t break the bank. I wouldn’t have changed a thing. N txt, I’m going back soon
The food here is good but the service wasn't the best. We spent most of the night being ignored. We were also seated on the patio under a tent. Even though there were heaters going it was still very cold. We had reservations so it was disappointing to be seated in such an uncomfortable spot.
