Presidio Social Club
What Insiders Are Saying
With both food from the 50s and kale, in a pseudo country club environment. Presidio Social Club works out better than we'd have expected.
Good food, great location, easy parking!
The chicken soup, valentine duck special and always the pate were tasty and impressive.
We will be back soon.
I hope they add Abolute to the bar menus featured Vodkas.
Great cocktails & wine selection. Energetic vibe yet classy atmosphere. Well rounded food selections, and we all enjoyed our choices.
Great spot for casual dinners or lunch. Food is predictably good. Our server was wonderful, parking easy.
Pork Belly is a must try, oysters are always amazing, the Eggs Benedict are the real thing; the house made pastries are worth saving room for.
Fish was excellent. Cream pie not so much - crust hard and cold, cream filling not flavorful or creamy enough.
We had a really great server, very personable and very professional. Very noisy but am used to being there during the week when it’s quieter.
The eggplant meal I ordered was not that great but I'd go back just for the pate. It was delicious!
A great location to meet friends from Marin. The service was very good. The food is expensive for what you get. Go for the convenience and ambiance not the food.
Great restaurant but prices were very high. I would only be able to afford a special occasion.
Loved the decor and ambiance at the Presidio Social Club. Service was quick and friendly. Food was delicious- highly recommend the meatloaf for lunch! We will be back for sure!
There was a very snooty vibe there. Our server had a superior attitude which I found very off-putting.
They should also have gluten free bread for their sandwiches every day, not sometimes as told. For what they charge, that should be readily available.
I don’t plan to return.
Always consistent-but way too noisy
Really enjoyed my experience! The wait staff was on-point, the cocktails delicious, and the food divine. Will definitely be back.
We were very disappointed with our lunch at the Social Club this time. We have been fans for many years but wonder if it isn’t becoming a victim of its success- perhaps trying to seat more people and increasing its prices. We were four people and three of the dishes were not up to the usual standard. My salad was gritty with sand, one person’s hamburger was very dry with soggy, not very hot French fries, and the meatball sandwich was not very tasty.
After rocky start being seated next to an extremely loud table we moved outside our party of 8 to enclosed patio. Food was good, it was warm enough, we could converse. Service disjointed. Maybe it's hard to give attentive service when it's easier to wait on tables inside.
This was a good place to meet in NW SF. Parking is easy.
Food and value are only fair.
Great steak, great oysters, cold beer. What else could you ask for?
My lunch, a special of rock cod, was exceptionally delicious. Really really tasty. Will definitely be back soon.
I ordered chicken and it had NO flavor. It was preceded by a small salad that only tasted of vinegar.
The service was not good either. There were just two of us and several birthday parties around.
Just was not a good experience for us.
Place was great for a quiet conversation with friends. Nice ambiance, calm. Food was mediocre. The Chilaquiles were not very good; the Banh Mi sandwich was also mediocre. But the setting and service were excellent.
Food was good- nice options for standard brunch, something for everyone... but not a WHOLE lot of items on the menu. It feels a little disjointed. While it’s fun to have both PoKe & chilaquiles on the menu... they don’t pair very well together.
Our server was fine. Could have been friendlier.
Atmosphere was great- inside and out!
This restaurant is located in the Presidio in a delightful setting. The food was comfort food with upscale touches.
Such a fun spot! Great atmosphere and food is terrific. They have a little spin on high end pub food.
Best staff, best food. Could eat here every night!
Yes but. ...service was very very slow
Clearly they were understaffed for lunch.
The menu had some interesting options and the food was attractively presented. Several of the dishes were bland tasting, but overall it was acceptable.
The service was friendly and energetic - but a bit rushed. Meals were delivered quickly and the wait staff was attentive and professional.
This is not the case for everyone, but our main complaint is our group of 7 was seated in the side room off the main dining room. Other larger parties were in the room as well and the noise level was so high we couldn’t hear each other across the table. My ears were ringing half way through the meal. It would be better sound management to spread these groups apart rather than jamming them together.
The setting was very nice and inviting. The service was slow and the server was a little put off by the request of a special drink order. She recovered nicely at the end, but first impressions fell flat. The biggest problem was really the food. The pesto pasta was tasteless and it was a chore to order something as simple as a burger. We went their on a recommendation, but it's best to avoid this place unless you are just going for drinks.
What a perfect place to dine on a rainy night with a new friend! The Presidio Social feels like being in someone's home, from the hospitable service, comfortable environment and fresh, comfort food and beverages served. The portions were nice sized in fact, so that we could have a variety of food, we decided to order a few things to share. The chicken was delicious and moist which was set on a bed of giant beans, the smashed peas with mint were sweet and buttery, the brussel sprouts a bit crispy and cooked to perfection! With our high level of satisfaction for the dinner, we felt compelled to venture into a dessert. At the recommendation of our waiter, we ordered the beignets. What could be better than hot beignets accompanied by a small mug of dipping chocolate?! I'm not sure if it was the good company that evening, the delicious food or Zinfandel I was drinking, but I entered a fairly quiet restaurant at 5:30 and somehow failed to notice that the restaurant filled itself to near capacity in the time we dined at our lovely table by the window.
Met with family members for a quick get together before a trip, service was impeccable, food fresh and yummy, the only thing that took a moment was parking, but as busy as it was, we felt no lack in attention and service and food delivery!
Great, thank you.
Had Patricia a great server. Perfect table in the back with good people watching. Drinks made to perfection. Food was delicious.
Girls night out!
Overall we had a okay experience, it was extremely loud on a Saturday afternoon. Service was a bit slow and my eggs Benedict were lukewarm (waiter nicely adjusted our bill), but we still had a fun time.
Parking was a breeze and we were seated promptly. PSC has a nice selection of cocktails and their Brunch menu offers both breakfast and lunch items. I was debating between the ahi tuna with taro chips and thier butter lettuce salad or the challah French Toast and settled on the former. They did not disappoint. Ahi was very fresh and the dressing on the butter leaf salad was perfect and not too much to make the lettuce soggy. I almost didn't have dessert b/c they discontinued their butterscotch pudding, but the coconut cream pie was super. My friend had the burger with truffle fries and said it was one of the best burgers she'd had in a while - she likes it cooked medium (pink all the way through) but has been getting served med/well versions (grey with just a little pink) lately.
Love this place - quality is always consistent with great service.
The service was mediocre at best. The food didn’t quite make up for it.
Loved the atmosphere. The food and coctail was great!
Brought the preteen kids. They love it. Ran into friends. Sat on the patio - most of the time we were alone. Was terrific. Always would come back.
