Presidio Social Club
Servers were stressed dealing with numerous large parties. Noise level was unbearable. Have been there many other times but this has moved to the bottom of the list. Food was less than its usual higher level.
Further, your system for replenishing decaf coffee is idiotic.
A very pleasant atmosphere, great service and the French toast was outstanding.
We sat outside for lunch on a rare balmy San Francisco day. Service was very good, and both food and cocktails excellent. Definitely planning on coming back here again.
Good location and ambience and service. Only gripe is the small menu.
Love the look, location and vibe yet it is a limited menu.
Love the restaurant. It’s great value, close to my neighborhood.
Enjoyed a lovely Sunday brunch before the restaurant got crowded (It can be loud when it's full.) Our server was attentive but not pushy. Chilaquiles and cocktails were delicious!
Lovely brunch at an atmospheric restaurant in the Presidio. It got busy quickly, and the service was wanting at the end.
Wanted to love this spot, but the food was just ok (sort of bland salad and sides that came with the flavorful chicken) and the service was long and slow.
We were a group of 30 people coming from all over the Bay Area, so it was difficult to get everyone there on time. The staff were very accommodating and eventually got us all seated. The food was out in timely manner and everyone raved how great everything on the menu taste! Cannot say how much we appreciated the efforts of our waiter, servers and kitchen staff. Thank-you Presidio Social Club we’ll definitely be back.
The best thing I can now say about this restaurant is that at night there is free parking. The service was so poor, and our server didn’t seem to have a clue how bad she was. No acknowledgment, no apology, nothing. Our deviled egg appetizer did not come as ordered, the meatloaf was bland, roasted broccolini was undercooked, “glazed” carrots weren’t glazed at all. And we didn’t receive our main course for 40 minutes and only then after I got up from the table and asked her what the delay was. She made no effort to explain or excuse it. Never even checked up on us during the meal. Forget this place. Too many other good options.
Family get together. Very noisy and very slow service
Not warm welcome - felt like we were interrupting hosts.
It’s the kind of place that makes you feel grateful to live in San Francisco. Loved the minimalist decor.
We had a very nice window table and our waiter was great. Very nice experience.
I have been coming here for years now and it never disappoints. The food is SO good and you cannot beat the pretty atmosphere whether you are sitting inside or even better, outside on the patio.
My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous brunch at PSC. The drink selection is intriguing and we were pleased with our choices - Aperol spritz for me and Bloody Mary for him. We ordered the Ahi Poke appetizer to share which was off the chart perfect and a large portion to boot. For entree he had the Benedict special and I had the Arugula/Chicken salad with toasted pecans. All was delicious and enjoyed in the beautiful dining room with spectacular views of the presidio. However, for the price, we felt rushed and had almost half of our appetizer still uneaten when the entree came out which should not happen at an establishment of this quality. Other than that, everything was perfect.
Food arrived five minutes after our order snd before we got our drinks. Ridiculous.
What a great lunch at PSC. We had the mushroom fonduta, smashed peas, gem salad, corn succotash and lemon cake. My what a good lunch and so pretty. Ate it all up and forgot to take pictures. Thanks for another fine experience.
Great casual spot
We were accommodated early on a Thursday evening as we were headed to the theater. The hostess and the waiter went above and beyond to ensure we had time to enjoy a delicious dinner before the show.
Food was really good. Service was poor. Not sure if the server got to many tables at once but she was not nice nor attentive.
Cool retro atmosphere, friendly staff, and great Manhattans!
I love PSC for dinner. We had our first lunch and found the selection a bit limited. I wish there was a lunch size salad as I wanted a lighter meal. However for most, it’s a great menu.
Great meal and our only complaint was around the $10 beignets. Overpriced unfortunately.
Celebrated my daughters 27th birthday with family and friends for brunch. The atmosphere was casual elegant with tables draped with white linens. Friendly staff and Great Food which was not overpriced. . I Recommend the brown sugar cinnamon roll to add to your meal. I would definitely come back.
Excellent California cuisine and comfort food for informal gathering with friends and family. Conveniently located close to Golden Gate Bridge, Crissy Field and adjacent Marina and Cow Hollow neighborhood. Highly recommend! Delicious food and wonderful service! Will definitely go back!
We walked around the old barracks area where the Visitors Venter is now & then to the Golden Gate Bridge. Were told by a friend to dine there for lunch. Lovely spot & interesting menu.
We love it there. Yesterday was lovely so sitting outside was a joy. They also allow dogs. Truffle was with us and they brought water for him right away. Everyone is so nice. And of course the food was delish.
Service slowed down when the restaurant got busy. The server tried but we were a table of 6. She was also doing two other much larger parties so she couldn’t be as attentive.
Food was good, it just was too long.
Great find and food! Wonderful, friendly service. Will be back!
Drinks we’re uncomfortably strong, food took forever but it was busy, sandwiches were too greasy, however, the other food was good, the atmosphere was lively and the staff were great. They brought us the wrong check, so we ended up paying a lot less. Would definitely go back!
Great location, very cool ambience and atmosphere, if you can, grab a table out back on the porch when it's sunny!
I have been here twice and both times had excellent service and really lovely time. My most recent visit was for a birthday (mine) brunch. There were six of us adults and one six-week old. They sat four of our party even though two of us had yet to arrive. The staff was exceptionally attentive, making sure that water glasses were filled, plates were cleared and any unspoken needs were addressed. The atmosphere is lively and welcoming, with lovely park views. It feels a bit like dining at a country club, and all the staff make you feel like a valued member. The food is competently done, which makes up for the relatively unimaginative menu. I had the eggs benedict and the hollandaise was delightfully lemony. My dining companions had the Cubano sandwich, salmon toast, and crispy potatoes, and all got good reviews. My fruit salad tasted like it had been in the refrigerator over night, but that was the only low mark I would give to the experience. None of my friends had been before, and they all said they'd be back. I'll definitely be back for its solid food, beautiful ambience, and fabulous service.
Initially we were seated in the dining room area that looked like an addition (to the left of the host stand). We were not happy - it was loud & loaded with kids. Luckily, we were able to get seats at the counter, and our whole experience changed!! Our server, Sabina, was a true professional and really made our night!! The food was very good (not inexpensive!!), but very good and the atmosphere is great. We loved it & will definitely look forward to returning!!
the food is not good. the lamb was very bad - all gristle and fat - the waiter said they just cut up an entire lamb and you get what the server - lousy quality control. they did take it off the bill but naaah. Also the liver is inspid and the onions underdone - i asked for them crispy and caramelized - wasted my breath :( Not going back ever.
Our second visit, chosen because of ambience, good food, and fabulous location. Happy again.
Its in a convenient location with a nice atmosphere. I would possible refer a friend.
My dish - the wild gulf prawn spaghetti was poor - surprised me as I've had better meals there before. The 3 prawns had their shells, heads and feelers still on and there was no elegant or even efficient way to deshell and clean them. just a mess. The spaghetti was flavorless.
Other friends enjoyed their meals so maybe just avoid that dish.
The wine was great and we were not rushed - service was a bit slow in fact. And the noise level is really really loud. Hard to hear each other. The price was fine for San Francisco.
I really LOVE Presidio Social Club - esp for the ambiance and the service. Good, interesting food, albeit comfort food focused.
Always a great experience and the food is great. They are very accommodating to guests. Can’t go wrong here as there is something for everyone!
