I had the liver. Fantastic. My friend ordered the hamburger but not available??? She order prime rib sandwich not so good.
The menu is offering a bare minimum of dishes. Not even a burger. The pastas were over priced & over cooked & had absolutely zero taste. Servings small & service dismal. Uninterested & unattentive staff. Location & patio is so charming. Too bad the menu, chef, staff and pricing is so off. The rose sangria was so crazy bitter we couldn’t finish.
Amazing service and the food tasted great!
Great outdoor experience.
We chose to sit inside bc it was soooo cold but it ended up being colder inside! They did try to turn up the heat but it probably would have been better to sit outside next to one of the space heaters.
Our service Sergio was wonderful and attentive! He even de-boned our fish entrees for us. The sauce was great but for the price value of the fish entree versus getting the chicken… go with the chicken! Just not enough fish and the spiced cauliflower to be really filling. The blondie dessert was delicious.
Turn the heat on. The thermostat said 63 , near the window 60.
The food was pretty good, and the service was very good.
Wow - the food was delish. Order the deviled eggs! it was a beautiful sunny cold morning, but when the sun was in my eyes they put up an umbrella for me without complaint. I will definitely be returning
A party of nine, we dined on their back patio for brunch. Unfortunately, they gave us a table shaded by trees on the coldest day. The heat lamps were not of much help. Although the food was good, everybody in our party was shivering. CAn't wait until we can all dine inside.
We were able to sit outside on the patio, which was lovely. The food was terrific; beautiful presentation! Service was impeccable. We had a very nice time and enjoyed the whole experience.
Great brunch menu. Food was excellent. Great service. Looking forward to our next visit
Institutional food. Steak was tough and mains and sides were cold when they came out. Some dishes were good. Will revisit. Service was poor and very slow.
The restaurant is a casual setting, more so than I had expected, however, we sat outside on the patio which was lovely. Decorated with stringed light and lots of heaters, and blankets in case you were chilly, made the ambiance lovely. The service was outstanding and the food to match. We will definitely come back again.
Great food and service. We went for the New Year’s Eve experience 3 course meal.
I haven’t been to Presidio social club in so long. It was amazing!
Will need to frequent more often!
Great spot to take myself on a date.
Delightful ambiance. Next-level, top notch, phenomenal and amazing service from the whole team, so personable that I felt like I was in someone’s lovely home!
I started w a super smooth, barrel-aged Negroni and a winter chicory salad…then…
Petrale sole in a nettle-infused beurre blanc sauce, caramelized Brussels sprouts, and a crisp Trocken Riesling…then…
Steusel-topped apple crisp with pillow-soft chantilly cream and an espresso.
Though tonight was not NYE and I was flying intentionally solo, the whole moment felt like it *was* my NYE.
Thanks PSC! Grateful for this experience.
I hadn’t been here for a while due to Covid-19 but it was as good as ever.
you can’t go wrong with PSC. Great food, good ambience and a nice menu.
Considering it was a fixed menu and the restaurant was not full, the service felt a little rushed.
I invited friends from California who relocated to Houston Texas 25 years ago when it was still an army base. They were impressed with almost everything but very much with the PSC. We had the beef and swordfish selections from the Sunday dinner menu and we were all pleased with our selections. From the cocktails with deviled eggs to the excellent coffee with desert, a perfect dinner.
Disappointing experience. We ordered the egg breakfast and the Merguez sausage dish. Both were OK. Nothing special. Too expensive for what we got. We left hungry and not terribly satisfied. They were out of the Applewood bacon even though it was 1:15pm on a Sunday. Service and ambiance were quite good.
Very friendly and attentive staff. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously.
We dined outside where we enjoyed a very nice quiet dinner with friends. Their heat lamps worked perfectly .
Menu somewhat limited but quality is good. Parking is easy...that is the best part for the city! Service was excellent!
Holiday dinner with friends was fabulous. The service fantastic, the food phenomenal- the fried Cornish hen with chiles, peanuts and Thai spices was amazing!
Like most restaurants in the pandemic are in need of more staff, but you can’t really notice here as the customer as the staff here pull out all the stops to make this a very special, and delish experience. I so appreciate the extra mile, the attentiveness, the warm and friendly disposition of everyone you encounter. Been coming to the Social Club for years and it’s even better now than it was pre-pandemic.
Still many of the old favorites on the menu, but they’ve added several nice new additions. Everything was so fresh and seasoned perfectly. My only wish is that they had one or two more options that omit the gluten, either with rice or polenta.
Love love love the back patio. Please keep that forever.
Great service! Was there for Sunday brunch, and while they didn't have as many options to chose on the menu from as one might like, what they had was very creative. I had lamb sausage and my friend has the croque madame. Both were excellent! Parking is limited. Excellent experience!
I ordered the croque madame and it was probably the worst sandwich I’ve ever had, one piece of deli ham one piece of cold sliced cheese on two pieces of very thin non-toasted white cheese with a tiny egg on top. Certainly not worth the $22! I told the wait staff and there was no comment from the kitchen . I would’ve sent it back but we were starving and it took so long just to get it.
Food was sub-par
The food is fairly good but overpriced for what is provided. Most of the entrees don’t come with sides. You have to order them separately, and when some of the entrees are over $30 that feels unacceptable.
Price of the Sunday supper menu on open table is off by 10 dollars.
The food was good but pricy for what we got.
The food and service are outstanding, but in a cold rainy day, keeping the patio door open chills the inside of the club beyond normal comfort levels.
Also the noise inside makes it hard to have a conversation
Our visit was very disappointing. Pre-Christmas lunch which used to be charming and great selections was stark and very limited in offerings. All tables inside were left vacant due to COVID I guess. Outdoors was full of people but more like a picnic atmosphere. Usual menu had so many great choices, now reduced to poorly cooked eggs, soup and weak salad choices. Do not waste your time until they get their act together again.
great holiday vibe and super friendly service. The food is consistently simple and delicious.
Loved the outside table but soup had few vegetables .. my Louis salad had only a few shrimp .. the fries were were cold cold had to be replaced and my cappuccino was cold and had to be replaced … not a great dining experience .. not sure we will go back …☹️
Charming restaurant...we opt to dine inside. Overall, food/service was good. Once it got busy, our service was not as attentive. Ordered an expresso...waited 15 min, then had to go ask for it. This little cup, just placed on table...no saucer, no spoon, no sugar.......not good! Had to ask for everything!
Disappointing. Came for Sunday Supper and it is not worth the price. Food was not good, service was spotty. The outdoor dining was nice however. Wanted to love it but would not go back nor recommend.
Great place for brunch. Amazing service, food and ambience.
3 courses plus tax&tip was about $100 each. It was good, but yikes!!!
The location is nice but that is about it. The hostess in the front was completely overwhelmed . There are two hostess stands one in the back patio and one in the front of the restaurant and the two do not communicate well. There should only be one.
Our reservation was for 1245 we didn’t get seated till 130 only the brunch menu was available and that is not what the website said. The length of the menu is very limited and the food was average at best the drinks are also not listed on the menu appropriately for instance they serve soda but it was not on the menu only their expensive lemonade and expensive ginger ice tea. It is not a spot we will go back to.
The food was good, however the chef was very rigid. We were thinking of getting the chicken salad, but wanted a taste (which we would happily have paid for) and were refused by the chef. We wanted a little Mayo with the hamburger, but we’re told the chef does t allow anything to be served that isn’t part of an existing dish. We were only asking for simple things (they obvi have mayo bc it’s in the chicken salad), so instead of happily enjoying our meal, the rigidity of the chef prevailed instead. So weird!
