Favorite thing about the Presidio Cafe is the ample parking! Wish the menu had either daily specials, or changed more often.
Great food and service. Parking lot full for Sunday 1:00 lunch. So happy we had reservation. Midweek it’s not as busy. Had the breakfast club, a nice twist on two favorites. They substituted salad for potatoes with no problem.
The waiter was so accommodating. Quiet atmosphere, good for discrete business lunch. We will return.
Nice spot for lunch with easy parking and view of the golf course. Comfort food, good service.
We went for Sunday Brunch but they had nothing special. For us the main attraction was to have parking. It would be nice if they did an upgrade to the facility and the food.
Rather boring menu and food was meh. Cheese sauce made us both sick. Would not go back.
This neighborhood location is good for a casual meal with adequate service. The site of the clubhouse/restaurant is very beautiful within a "national park" with parking in a city that is a parking nightmare.
Excellent value. Very friendly! The service is always terrific. In the mornings it is a good spot for a business breakfast away from the down town area. Great parking.
We've been here many times, never been disappointed & plan to revisit often!
I'm afraid to share this secret. Great easy spot for brunch with kids.
The wait staff were really frieidly and helpful, which made up for a vary basic menu of comfort food, with uneven quality. The view out to the course will be blocked if there is an event, so call ahead. Table service not available on the terrace, but you can take your food out there on a nice day.
The service was exemplary, with several people helping our table all of whom seemed to be communicating with one another, and all of whom were very polite and watchful. The biggest surprise of all though was the incredibly creamy scrambled eggs. They were divine. Also, we stayed for a long time and talked after our meal and the atmosphere was peaceful and conducive to talking.
Grilled Stone Fruit Salmon salad was fabulous. Great food at a great price.
Three of us discussion Mission and outreach for a not-for profit. Very friendly service. Quiet for breakfast so that we could talk. Great breakfast menu with something for everyone. Portions a bit large? We will be back
We meet there once a month and have enjoyed it. Last time service was not good. Slow to attend our table. Terribly noisy. One table of men so loud we couldn't hear our conversation. Not sure what we will do next month.
I have been to the Presidio Cafe for the Warriors games - bar almost empty so NOT noisy - food okay, and for Brunch recently and I'd go back again for Brunch. CAB
Great place for group of friends to meet with lots of parking.
Unfortunately I never received the confirmation for my dinner reservations so I never got to go so I deleted you guys
We appreciated the excellent service we received from "Andrew." Kudos!
Convenient meeting place for Peninsula and Marin County friends to meet in SF. Weekends often have events and one should check first to see if restaurant closes early as it did with us. Servers seemed stressed to get people out for the event and food was particularly bad yesterday. Helpful if Open Table got alerts on these changes when reservations are being made.
Needs a little TLC. The food and service was very good but the ambiance was missing. I'd been to this place a few years ago and it was taken care of. There were dead flowers in the entry and the bathroom. The bathroom door was dirty and the dining room was dated. Looks like it just needs some care, a good manager perhaps. Our server was great and the good better than I expected.
The food was average, the service sub-par, and it was extremely noisy. In addition, the door to the patio stayed open (it was a cold day) and we counted four collisions between in-coming and out-going waiters when dealing with the kitchen door.
The Sunday brunch menu wasn't appealing so we shared a grilled cheese with bacon, which was fine. We had to keep tracking down our waiter and it wasn't busy when we arrived. We would like to have known what the regular lunch menu was like, but hostess said they only served brunch. We had requested a patio table, but none available because local golfers were drinking sodas and coffee outside, so tables are not blocked for diner reservations. We had a window table and someone needs to clean the cobwebs and dirt near floor. Won't be going back.
I go for the ambiance. It is a perfect place to meet friends for lunch because of easy free parking, the atmosphere is very clublike, the tables are far enough apart that you are not hearing everyone else's conversation, there is carpet so it isn't reverberatingly noisy, the chairs are comfortable, and the large windows have nice serene views. My corned beef in my Rueben sandwich seemed somewhat processed but, as I said, I go for the ambiance.
Very unprofessional!! We had reservations for 4 at 1:15 pm on 2/17/2017. When we arrived the place was closed because the golf course was closed. That would have been OK if they were professional enough to let us know that they had closed. No call, no email. Someone dropped the ball.
We enjoy coming here Sunday for brunch. Great for kids. Easy to park. Good value for a simple lunch too. Plus it has a bar!
My first visit to this café was for an evening of tequila tasting with an amazing crowd. Looking at the everyday menu and now knowing the vibe of the place, I will definitely be coming back. Maybe with my mom, or husband, or kids.. or ALL.
The food and service were excellent. Good food very reasonably priced. The surprise was they did not have decaffeinated coffee!!! The excuse was that the machine was broken - but then use one of the regular coffee machines. Other than that, all was very nice per usual.
Enjoy the nice fireplace on cold days. It is very affordable and no pressure to hurry. Staff polite and efficient.
Standard fair at a standard golf course club house. Would have liked a little more creativity, but what we had was well prepared and worth the money. Fast, friendly service.
Very comfortable & casual place to have lunch. Service is great, never get rushed, but waited on in a timely manner.
I recommend it for a party, get it oh ether or just a solo lunch, if desired.
I've been coming here for years; the menu has changed and not for the better; it is mostly just burgers and sandwiches; use to love the Caesar salad with shrimp; no longer there; the atmosphere is still great; the waiters are still pleasant; need to update the menu
Our brunch at the Presidio Cafe on Sunday, 11/27/16 was delightful. The food was back to its very good standard and our wait staff were gracious and efficient.
Our Waiter was superb Great sense of humor and extremely attentive and friendly.
Great lunch spot in golf course setting. Excellent salad and very economical.
Great casual dining! Friendly service, menu options for everyone and easy to get to, park, etc.
Excellent neighborhood venue with PARKING, if a golf tournament is not scheduled. Usually excellent food; service can vary, but was excellent at last visit. Good cocktails as well.
We basically had a small business meeting. No one really ate. Just coffee and toasted bag.
The table was sticky, and the coffee tipid.
It was a good thing that I've eaten there before, because it was better.
My business group thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at the Presidio Cafe. The food was a vast improvement over my experiences at other recent events. Kudos to the chef!
I brought a group of friends -- 5 of us -- to brunch last Sunday. Our server, "Fletcher," was a delightful young man and made every effort to afford us good service, but we had to remind him to bring us silverware and napkins (which should have been on the table). The food, sadly, was mediocre. 3 of us order the "omelet of the day" and the remaining 2 guests ordered pancakes and a club sandwich respectively. The omelets were rubbery, the potatoes over salted, and my English muffin was barely toasted.
In sum: not up to the Presidio Cafe's usual standard.
