Just a Saturday afternoon. We were traveling so we looked up a couple restaurants but this one caught our eye. Very diverse menu and close locale made it easy to decide. The manager was very transparent with the progress of our food, the server was very attentive. And the food hit the spot at the right time. A nice place to grab a bite and worship some older architecture.

We are foodies and may not be their target audience., but we were willing to give President's Inn a try. We dined on a Friday night and we were one of just two groups dining - which was a major red flag. The concept is a nice idea but not well executed and the restaurant feels like an add-on to the adjacent bar. The music and noise from the bar was loud enough to impact the vibe in the restaurant. At one point we saw our server sitting at the bar like a patron. The eclectic and oddly assembled menu told me that they are still trying to figure out what type of restaurant they truly are. We gave it a shot, but wish we would have gone a few doors done to the Tousey House.

We are major foodies and excited to try something new. We ordered dishes we typlically enjoy and brought our 2 year old along. No wine menu "they haven't updated it in a while". App bread was good. Nothing crazy. Entrees: Crab cakes burned. The pork was ruined by a raspberry sauce that was way too sweet for the plate and served with potato fries not listed on the menu. The steak and crab were ordered medium and cooked correct but served cold. Carrots were swimming in a maple syrup sauce that was way too sweet and unedible. The server could have cared less and even when things were brought to his attention he only said "sorry". If we didn't have a coupon we would have refused to pay. Sadly we were excited about the menu but fooled once we got there.

My friend and I totally enjoyed ourselves at President's Inn. The server was very friendly and informative about the restaurant and its food. The food was delicious and we could sit and talk with one another for a while. Overall great experience!

The service was snail paced, the value horrible. It took 15 minutes to get the bread and for #5.95 it should not have been over toasted bread with 2 types of butter. They were out of hummus and two items we wanted were no longer on the menu. The small plates salmon was not as described and very small, the salmon dinner was not great. For Saturday night there was no crowd. That seems to reflect the poor quality of the experience offered. Also, Open Table says Florence, but it is in Burlington, 5 miles from the expressway. We would not have booked if we realized where it was, and the quality of the food.

The service was wonderful. Pleasant server who made suggestions and was able balance answering questions and havnig a brief conversation vs. hanging around too long. We went at 7PM on Saturday night and were one of two tables of people in the restaurant. The crab cakes my husband ordered were actually pollock (immitation crab meat). My petit steak was fine, but was definitely petit. There's nothing wrong with The Presidents' Inn other than it's tired and needs to be updated both esthetically and food wise.

This is a charming restaurant in quaint downtown Burlington, Ky. The food is very reasonably priced classic American comfort food. We had the chicken marsala and the meat loaf which were both very tasty. The best part of the meal, however, was our carrot cake dessert. It was a very generously sized portion made with an old family recipe and proved to be a delicious choice . We were the only patrons on a Sunday night which made for a delightful atmosphere for catching up on our busy lives, but not ideal for sustaining a business. So I would encourage everyone to give the President's Inn a try and reward these local owners for all their hard work!

Great variety on the menu, and wonderful friendly service! Our family tried several appetizers & entrees including the Ky hot brown, ribeye dinner and crab-artichoke dip. My daughter loved the grilled Romas w/ goat cheese & sausage crumbles. Since it was hard to decide on dishes, I'm coming back to try the crab cakes and pasta dishes. Compliments to the chef!
