When you are soooo modern and soooo "on point" with food choices, food flavors, restaurant ambience, service in all forms, presentations, and your great wine selection, why in the hell do you continue to insist on masks just to walk through or to go to the restroom. It'd be a heckuva lot nicer if you had all non-vaccinated folks eat outside and all us vaccinated folks eat anywhere we want and not wear masks.
The food and staff were great. Very accommodating. We will definitely go back.
Outdoor dining was pleasant. Noise was an issue partly due to street noise (not their fault) but also a loud table of six. The staff was accommodating and moved us to a location where we didn’t need to shout over the noisy table, however.
Food was excellent although pricey. I had watermelon gazpacho which was a very small amount for $8 (less than a cup, I’d guess) and it was just puréed spiced watermelon much as I make for morning smoothies for $1.
I ordered the appetizer mussels which were outstanding and my friend ordered French toast which she said was very good.
The service was excellent and the wine list extensive.
We were seated in the lovely back courtyard. It was my husband’s birthday so we were given a complimentary champagne toast to start. Brunch was excellent and the service was exceptional. Will return.
Courtyard dining felt like a dingle. Chairs were on edge of brick.
Wine was very expensive.
Breakfast breads were too hard, seemed like leftovers.
Server was pleasant.
Super Friendly, great quality fresh food... !
Fantastic! Sorry that the brunch won’t be continuing after this month. Delicious food, great spot, and wonderful service!
Delicious, brunch did not disappoint! Everything was great, bring a jacket if you eat in doors. The Porch and gardens are lovely. Make the reservation and go!!
Professional servers who know the menu and wine list. We enjoyed our evening very much
Hostess was very rude and should be reprimanded, other than that everything was great!
My husband and I got an outside table on the lovely front porch on a pleasantly mild mid-May evening and it set the tone for the rest of the wonderful dining experience. Superb well-paced service, delicious beautifully prepared mostly locally sourced food — creative and sophisticated but not at all fussy or pretentious — and reasonable portion sizes. We devoured every drop of our watermelon w/ fennel gazpacho, roasted oysters, seared duck breast, yellow snapper, grits, and creme brûlée. Sauces and accompaniments to the entrees were perfect. Based on my description of my taste preferences the attentive server recommended an enjoyable wine that complemented the meal well. Though Covid restrictions are gradually easing we appreciated the fact that all staff were wearing masks and patrons were asked to do so (and were generally compliant, we observed) when not at their tables. We loved “Preserved” — our first time there — and look eagerly forward to returning the next time we visit St. Augustine.
Wonderful food, service and ambiance! Would highly recommend!!
We enjoyed a great meal and received wonderful service. Looking forward to going back soon.
We have been there for brunch and dinner. Fabulous service , outstanding food and beautiful ambience ! We love it !!
This was our first time here. We absolutely loved it and will return again! Food was delicious and superb. The wait staff and employees were very efficient and personable. We can’t say enough about Preserved. Highly recommend!
Overall experience in every manner was excellent. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a fine dining establishment
Amazing food. Great place. Highly recommend.
Fantastic place !
One the best restaurant experiences I've ever had. Outstanding food and service.
All of enjoyed our experience. I very much like the limited number of tables inside—don’t go back to more. This greatly reduces the noise level and enhances the ambiance.
Thank you for a nice experience.
We enjoyed Mothers Day
Sat outside - everything was good
We were looking forward to our fist visit to Preserved Restaurant for Mother’s Day. My son had the fried pork chop that he loved. The rest of our party had various types of eggs Benedict. The eggs were cold and almost hard boiled, a tiny drop of hollandaise sauce on top of a hard crispy english muffin which was very difficult to cut. On the flip side, the outdoor seating was very nice and the service was great.
We went to The Preserved for Mother’s Day brunch. It was outstanding! We couldn’t decide on items so we decided to order several and share. Started with the arugula beet salad, which was great. The dressing was perfect. Could have used a few more pieces of beets, but very tasty. The chicken hash was good, lots of potatoes. The oysters were good, but not great. They were a little undercooked for roasted but good flavor. The mussels were among the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked with a wonderful broth. The shrimp and grits were the highlight. Creamy grits with flavorful sauce and nicely cooked grits. Highly recommend! We also had mimosas which had fresh orange juice. The Shrubmosas were interesting..
The strawberry rhubarb bread pudding with peanut butter ice cream was unusual. We’ve never had something that tasted pickled on a dessert. Probably wouldn’t order it again but it was interesting!
Overall an outstanding experience!
Took my mom here for Mother’s Day brunch. We were very excited, as we have done very little in the past year with the pandemic. I have visited this restaurant several times for brunch and have always had a good experience until this past Sunday. We were seated on the porch, as requested, so I was very pleased about that. Our server was very inattentive, brought my mother the wrong dish and then seemed to get defensive when it was brought to her attention. I asked for a coffee refill, which never came. When the bill came, I was charged for the wrong dish versus the one that my mother actually ordered. In addition, the young woman at the hostess stand was not welcoming or the least bit friendly. Doubt that I will ever visit Preserved again 😕
We have had an overall fabulous experience. From the ambiance, the service all the way to the indulgence of our taste buds with the chef's culinary expertise. Top notch. Highly recommended.
Great place, food and ambience
This was an amazing experience in every way. There was a guy cutting hedges across the street - which is the only reason for the loud noise rating. The service and food was impeccable - wine list was wonderful. It was a value for what we got. A must hit restaurant!
Wonderful food, wine and service.
Great service, wonderful food. Escargot was fantastic, wine choices went with everything. Nice duck and shrimp and grits.
Fabulous birthday dinner with the family!
Few options for fine dining at 4:00 pm in St. Augustine but Preserved did not disappoint. We tried the short ribs, duck, bouillabaisse and steak, and all four of us loved our choices.
Fabulous dinner for our Anniversary. The steak was outstanding!
Great! We will be back!
Nicely varied menu of appetizers, salads, and entres. Excellent service. Food very well prepared with nice, but not gaudy, presentation.
Staff out of this world and the food even better.
Brunch....waitress very pleasant but had to be asked twice for things. Food very good.
Even with Covid the service and food was excellent.
Food was amazing! The oysters were amazing, incredibly fresh. The rib eye was the best I’ve ever had with a subtle note of thyme. I’ve eaten at the best steakhouses, and this steak was superior.
We had an excellent anniversary dinner! Great food, service, and atmosphere!
