Justin D was very accommodating and provided top notch service and wine and food knowledge. We will def be back soon and ask for him.
Amazing food! Started with Oysters, then the charcuterie platter, duck leg, arugula salad with a perfect piece of chicken, and melt in your mouth creme brûlée! Great birthday celebration and wish I could try everything on menu!
We sat out on the porch - was very nice. i have gluten issues and they handled it well. Great food, great ambience and the location is historic
My fiance and I ate at the Preserved Restaurant because we were considering it for our intimate wedding reception. Not only was the food incredible, but the service was impeccable. It was great seeing the entire restaurant staff work as a team to get the food out quickly and guests happy. I'm so excited to have my wedding guests enjoy as much as we did.
Amazing as always.
Loved sitting on the porch but 2 person table at the top of the steps and right outside main door was a little too busy. Also would recommend a sun shade for that end of the porch for setting sun.
The service was nice by young people however, the food was not very good. We have been to The Perserved many times in the past. I had the trout. It was fishy smelling and the black eyed peas it was bedded in was not cooked and really was raw and cold. One if our friends had the tomato salad and it was just ok. Not really that good.
Not sure if we will return. Too many other restaurants in the area that is so much better
We went here for our anniversary. Loved it!! The food was amazing and the wine selection had a plethora of choices.
They even provided us with a free creme brûlée. Delicious
Have eaten there numerous times and will keep going back. Food was delicious, staff knowledgeable and accommodating and the wine wist was excellent.
Amazing anniversary dinner! Wonderful server Cheryl was helpful and very quick!
Server was amazing and very knowledgeable ! Cute spot and my steak fritters with asparagus and mushrooms were to die for ! Delicious !
Fabulous evening! The food was beautifully presented and absolutely delicious! This was our 6th or 7th time dining here and we have enjoyed our experience each and every time!
Service, food and ambiance spectacular. They have parking in St. Augustine and that’s a huge plus. They take reservations on open table. Wine prices a bit high.
Beautiful dining experience everything was amazing. Came here on a recommendation of a friend as we’ve just moved into the area. So glad we did, truly fabulous and we loved the wine list. Presentation great and outstanding service.
The restaurant uses local food source so the menu is always fresh and tasty.
The background music is soft and tasteful lending the guests to enjoy pleasant dinner conversations.
The only reason o have service four stars was because I had a reservation but arrived about 1/2 hour early. They seated us at a not so great table and when we asked to be moved to the other open tables, we were told we couldn’t because those were for reservations. Well the tables sat empty for an hour and one of those reservations was probably mine anyway.
Fabulous meal, excellent service. Our anniversary meal was amazing and everyone really made us feel celebrated. We will be back
Great service in a lovely setting. Food was good but has room for improvement. Hope they keep it going since there’s a good foundation. Ate inside on a hot night and temperature was fine.
Wonderful ambiance, mediocre food.
Pros: beautiful, quiet ambiance. Decor is lovely. We ate in the courtyard. Great for a date, anniversary, couples dining. Service was great. Banana bread pudding dessert was delicious, although a tad sweet.
Cons: Dinner and appetizers were disappointingly mediocre. Roasted oysters - taste was overpowered by the bacon and Parmesan cheese. My husband had duck, and found it to be absolutely tasteless. I had the short rib - it was good, but not great.
I would return for the ambience, and love the quiet historical neighborhood. But would only have drinks, and maybe dessert.
This was our 4th visit. Wanted to get a special friend who recently lost his wife out for a nice evening of food and conversation. and we knew it would be great . . . which it was. We sat out on the covered veranda . . . very casual and relaxing. Our server, Amanda, was outstanding as always. We all had the arugula salad then entree mussels with pommes frites . . . delicious! Great night. Great place!
Server was inexperienced and inattentive. Pretentious and very unprofessional. Among orher things, argued with us over our wine selection. We were upcharged to make appetizer gluten free (adding cucumber slices in lieu of toast points).
We throughly enjoyed our brunch. We started with their scone of the week, a lemon scone with vanilla drizzle served with a blueberry jam. It was the perfect combination of flavors. I could eat those every day.
Next we shared the mussels served in a garlic, butter sauce topped with sauteed onions and of course lots of garlic. They were served with a large grilled baguette sliced with was perfect for soaking up all the tasty juices. I would suggest an extra piece of the toast to use to dip.
Now on the the main course. Quiche of the week with mushrooms, spinach and goat cheese was outstanding. It was probably one of the best quiches I have had. And the 102 Bridge Eggs which is essentially fried oysters benedict style. Is made with hollandaise sauce, arugula served with finglering potatoes. The eggs were a tad watery so I think it took away from the dish slightly.
Overall it was a great dinning experience. The staff was help and attentive and I loved the remodeled home the restaurant is housed in.
Preserved is a wonderful Southern/French Cuisine restaurant featuring a creative menu, spectacular international wine selection with somelier recommendations, and very friendly, attentive service staff. This is one of the best in NE Florida!
Located in a renovated old home, this restaurant serves a variety of dishes guaranteed to satisfy just about anyone. I had perhaps the very best pork chop EVER at Preserved. A very good wine list and outstanding, friendly service round out a wonderful place for any occasion.
Excellent food and service. Beautifully restored old house. Great atmosphere.
Wasn't bad, or great. We'd never be back though. Service was ok, they do seem to know the menu well. We did sit with empty glasses a number of times, and I couldn't get anyone's attention past the large group sitting next to us.
The charcuterie board was very nice, as was the wine and beer selection. The main course took a VERY long time to come out; so long that we decided against trying dessert for fear of being stuck there all night. It was annoyingly hot in the room ( a woman had her own personal fan out at her table! It was THAT hot.)
They are really trying with the noise level, we saw very expensive custom acustical tiles throughout the home/restaurant area that we were sitting in but it could only help so much with that many people in such a small area. We had that "I can't wait to get out of here" discussion a few times before we were finally ready to go! No food could be good enough to make up for that.
Fantastic anniversary evening. We were seated on the covered front porch the weather was cooperative. The service from our host, Sheryl, was top knotch! Thank you!
The food was amazing! The wine was on point. The only issue was the temperature inside (and i’m glad we didn’t sit outside!). It was pretty warm inside, granted it is july in FL but it would have been more enjoyable at a comfortable temp.
Had a wonderful brunch Saturday and can't wait to go back for dinner now!
Was too hot to sit on the beautiful porch but will request once the weather cools down a bit!
Service and food were both excellent. Beautiful outdoor patio as well.
Another great experience with good friends and good food.
Preserved is a neighborhood gem. Outstanding service and amazing food. The charcuterie is to die for! We will definitely be back again and again.
My wife and I had a fantastic meal at this restaurant, however their wait staff needs to be trained better. We made a reservation for 8:30pm and we arrived at 8:27pm. We were told that they needed to set the table while we waited outside. I can understand the wait to be seated if they needed to flip the table, however the restaurant was not busy and they should have been ready for our arrival ahead of time. We were finally sat at our table only to wait over 10 minutes for someone to deliver some bread. No introduction or welcome to the restaurant, there was no offering of a beverage order, just a simple here is some bread and water. Another 10 minutes passed until our server arrived at our table. Our server never introduced herself, never welcomed us to the restaurant, never apologized for the wait, she simply asked if we were ready to order. My suggestion to the chef/owner of this establishment is to fully embrace the workings for a fine dining experience. While your food was exceptional, the poor service detracts from the delicious fare. Please train your host/service staff properly to elevate the patrons experience so that the quality of the services matches the quality of the food.
We have eaten at Preserved many times. The food is always good/very good and "stable". For the price i would expect maybe a little more but the food is always prepared well and fresh. The Scallops were 4 pieces. My friends were i think a little more hungry than that. The starches need a revision as the short ribs with polenta or potatoes would be a nice touch. The beer and wine selection is good.
Great location a bit west of the city of St. Augustine. Lovely old house with a big front porch and inside dining as well. Great menu, choices, wines. I had the arugula salad and the shrimp and girts. Both were excellent! The French rose was also very good. Loved it, would dine here again.
Simply the best restaurant in St. Augustine. This was my second visit and we’ll be back soon. Great atmosphere, great service, many interesting food options and everything was prepared perfectly. My shrimp & grits were different and excellent. Plentiful jumbo shrimp on a bed of real grits with creamed corn and small chunks of bacon. Yum! Save room for delectable desserts!
Flavor profiles run deep here. We had three restaurants recommended to us from a knowledgeable source. They were all good but this one stood out from the rest. Our favorite restaurant while we visited St. Augustine. Service was friendly and knowledgeable about the wine and menu. This is a must try.
Superb service and food. Great wine list, fantastic atmosphere.
An absolute gem in St. Augustine. You must seek it out!
Every aspect of our dinner was amazing. The Charcuterie board is a must. Excellent service. Highly recommend. One of the best meals I have ever eaten.
Best place in St Augustine!
