Precinct Kitchen + Bar
Offering Boston favorites and classic cocktails, the menu plays off of beloved standards while innovating with a contemporary approach. Housed in the historic Police Headquarters on Berkeley Street, the restaurant is a true celebration of Boston's past and culinary future.
Utilizing many local and regional products, Precinct is proud to partner with some of the best artisan purveyors. The kitchen uses meat, produce, and dairy from many local, small batch farms and is honored to serve these truly local products.

The servers were very friendly but the service was slow - they were slow to take and fill our drink orders. Appetizers were slow to arrive but timing from appetizer to entree was perfect.
They kindly saved me a table for outside dining on a beautiful day - great service, great food, great ambience. This is a neighborhood favorite.
Great food, ambiance & service! A perfect 10 all around!
The crab cakes were delicious but the tomatoes were too vinegary. I would have preferred if the potatoes were warm.
I have been here once before and the experience was just as wonderful. Great food, great service and great ambiance.
Loved that Precinct had gluten free options and were indicated right on the menu. Also offered delicious gf bread which is not an option in many other restaurants. I highly recommend Precinct to anyone but especially those who suffer from celiac or a gluten sensitivity.
We had an amazing birthday dinner outside! Service was outstanding, the food was excellent - an incredible evening!
Cool place, outstanding food
We had a great night at Precinct. This was a late birthday celebration for a group of 5 adults. Very attentive and professional staff...our server was outstanding! He offered the option of a half portion of salad for an appetizer, and that was absolutely the way to go. Two people in my group had the lobster roll, which they both LOVED, and my fish dish (cod) was amazing, with wonderful saffron risotto. One person in our party got filet mignon, which was cooked to perfection. Low level of noise (even with the patio doors open - we sat inside). I'd recommend it and look forward to returning.
Great for business lunch; not too loud so as to need to talk over one another.
Came here for lunch. We shared a cheese board, a bowl of mussels, and some soup and salad. The mussels were incredible and it was a gigantic portion. The cheese was very good, but the server did not explain which cheese was which. Unfortunately, the server was also unable to answer some other questions about the menu.
Food was super salty. Had to send stark back that was well done rather than medium.
we had lunch before the theater. It was an interesting menu. I've had dinner there, and they have the best chicken wings...yum...but they're not on the lunch menu...sigh
The food was pretty mediocre, however the service was great. All the staff was attentive, helpful and very polite, and they were also not overbearing and checking in on us 24/7. However when it came to the food and drinks it was all underwhelming. We came for brunch and I had the Lobster Cobb Salad which was pretty boring (way too much lettuce, not enough good toppings). My date had the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. Again it was nothing to rave about, flavor-wise it was pretty bland. For a place like Precinct I would expect the food to be at least good, if not great.
We've been here in the past and its a great place for drinks, happy hour and snacks, but I wouldn't recommend the brunch.
Waitress went mia after we got our meal had to flag her down and almost missed a meeting
Superb in every way. Excellent food, venue, service. I asked for a martini with blue-cheese stuffed olives and though they were not standard offer, they stuffed the olives and voila!
Ate so much at our celebratory dinner that I wasn't hungry until late afternoon the next day.
Don't miss - make it a point to go when in Boston. Can't wait to return.
Good food and service. Dessert was so so. Had the Boston Cream Pie. Very small serving and not what expected.
Mother’s Day! They have my mom a beautiful red rose which was a really sweet touch. 🌹
Fantastic meal, great food, exceptional service. Slight mix up on the order (wrong type of Benedict arrived) but was immediately remedied and well worth a couple minutes wait for the correction. Strongly recommend the crab cake eggs benedict, amazing! Tasty twist on a classic. Basket of pastries also very good including “the best corn muffin I’ve ever had” (-my brother). A little pricey, but as long as you’re getting fancier breakfast it feels appropriate. $16+ for pancakes would be a little much but the Benedict’s and other nicer options are worth it. Relatively quiet on Mother’s Day, so staff could be attentive and food showed the love. We’ll be back!
Great place for lunch.
I have dined at the Precinct for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This last occasion was a friend’s birthday so this is a good destination restaurant for special occasions. I had the clambake which was filled with mussels, clams, shrimp, and corn on the cob. Save room to dunk your savory bread into the delicious broth. This restaurant will be known to many urban dwellers as the former site of Boston Police Headquaters, hence the name Precinct. This is one of my go to dining destinations.
Sons pre college graduation meal. Chef took a special request for oysters Rockefeller and knocked it out the park! Great fresh seafood and top notch service.
Food was great, service was great
Our brunch was delicious, the space was very comfortable and the service was outstanding.
Great menu, terrific food, outstanding service, noisy but we didn't care.
Excellent food at excellent prices! I have eaten lunch here 3 times and every time the service and food are the best! Awesome Truffle/Parmesan Fries!
Food was very good. Service was excellent. Front part of restaurant was a bar and tables and very noisy, but the dining room toward the rear was quiet with a nice ambiance. Food was well prepared and fresh
Food was fair, but the wait made it seem worse than it was. We were there for a business lunch and expected to be in and out in an hour - no such luck - try two hours. The noise was so loud that we could not talk across a regular table for two. The very busy bar was so noisy that it elevated the level of decibels in the dining room. The food is well priced, but the experience was not good enough to return.
Table for 6, coworker’s last day. Very good waitress. Have had her before.
Greg was an amazing waiter!!! we hope to have him every time!
Great food, good atmosphere, reasonable prices
Another excellent experience at Precinct. Love the dining room here as it is small enough to feel intimate, yet large enough to allow for a comfortable and reasonable amount of space between tables. Menu offerings are consistently well-prepared and presented. Our server this time was truly exceptional—professional, courteous, attentive, and efficient. One of the best service experiences I’ve had in Boston. Look forward to returning.
Service, food, and ambience was incredible. We went with another couple. Our server, Greg, allowed us to take our time - didn’t rush us to place our orders and to enjoy our evening together. He was old school and it was great. The food was delicious. We started with the combo charcuterie board which was stacked with meats and cheeses. My husband had the clam chowder, which was delicious and not too heavy. The truffle fries were excellent and tasty. We will definitely return.
The food was delish but portions were small for the money. Also there was no remoulade on th crab cakes which I thought was strange. The desserts were also great and our waiter was awesome.
The service has always been wonderful here. The food is delicious, fresh and lovely presentation. We have always appreciated the friendliness of the wait staff.
Slow service despite numerous open tables.
We had a pre-theater dinner. Service was excellent. Meals were good overall, but one dish (fried clams) was overdone and inedible. They didn't charge for the meal, but it was unfortunate that we were time-limited and could not get a replacement. Other meals were excellent.
Well prepared food, portions large enough for sharing, good service, average room.
Went here for restaurant week and it was pretty good; nothing spectacular. There was a massive party sitting next to us that was moving the tables around to get out of their seats, but I think other parts of the restaurant would've been quieter.
