Food is so fresh and deliciously prepared. Service is first class. A completely enjoyable evening!
We really enjoyed our family dinner and birthday celebration-nice that our fantastic server Greg encouraged our vegetarian “adjustments” and worked really hard to make sure everyone was happy. Look forward to next visit!
Great food and service
Food wasn’t worth the price.
We have a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner here! Our server Omar was attentive and friendly. He made sure we stayed on schedule so we would make our play. The food was delicious — lobster risotto and gnocchi with braised beef. We realized as we started eating that we forgot our play tickets, a huge problem! We found the PDF, e-mailed it to the manager and he printed them for us! He saved the night! We will definitely be back when we have more time and to tell them we made it to the play. :)
Not sure I would recommend, would have to think about it.
What a bar scene! Thankfully, the restaurant part is a bit removed from the loud bar scene (great for after work and Friday nights!). We had a pre-theatre time and the service was excellent. Fast, attentive, and courteous. The appetizers (octopus and deviled eggs) were good. The eggs were a bit mustardy and the octopus wasn't too tender. However, the accompaniments helped each dish.
My scallops were good - but not necessarily $34 good. My husband's fish and chips were fine. Nothing extraordinary or out-of-the-box creative but fine, solid food.
While I think the bar area is great, the dining experience was severely lacking. We had a group of 6 from my work, and most of us were unhappy with the meals, thinking the Steaks served were rather tasteless, which was surprising. I ordered the Braised Beef Gnocchi, which was very mushy. I sent it back and asked for seared scallops, which were OK, but nothing I couldn't have made with minimal effort at home, and for the prices they charge I expect much better. Very disappointing. The wait staff were not friendly, but stone faced and grim. Although we will probably be back for drinks in the bar, this will be the last time we will come here for dinner.
Food, service, and ambiance were all fantastic. Enjoyed the beef gnocchi. Good cocktail list. Very attentive to customers. Thank you!
Great food, good atmosphere good service, a bit noisy
The bar area is busy, but we were seated in a back area of the restaurant that was very quiet. Rare to find a place at peak dinner hours where you are easily able to hear what your dinner partner is saying! Would definitely go again.
Food and service were both great. Will definitely come back here!
A thoroughly enjoyable evening of unmatched service and delicious food! Hard to rate the noise level because we were the loud ones!
Precinct's half sandwich w/half soup or salad is the perfect size and the service is excellent and efficient, which this makes for a great business lunch spot. The food is very good and I frequently bring clients here.
Service was prompt. Table was comfortable with enough room for all guests. We had a nice brunch! Will return for dinner
Had theatre tickets for a Sunday afternoon so decided to do brunch. We each had Bloody Mary’s (they were terrific) and ordered the Spiced Banana French Toast as an appetizer. It was incredible. (Not sure the 2 slices would have been enough as a meal though.) Our main meals were good too, but the French toast stole the show. Our waiter was attentive and pleasant, as were everyone else we encountered.
It's such a nice place. The food (especially seafood) is terrific, not over priced, and the ambiance is friendly friendly. The only drawback is the wildly popular bar next door which is sometimes hard to get out of your ear. One can asked to be seated away from it and that helps. We live down the street and frequent it. I recommend it heartily. And the oysters rock. Muscle preparation sensational. There's a lobster risotto that is super good...a place you return to.
The food is always really good and the service is something I wish other restaurants had. Very attentive, very patient and definitely one of my favorite places to brunch at.
Great food and really affordable for Boston
Probably due to the fact that it was New Year's Eve, the folks in our party who ordered burgers found that they were not warm enough. All other entrees were good, and the service was excellent. I thought given the location that the cost was a good value.
Our experience at Precinct Kitchen exceeded my expectations. I was initially intrigued by their many gluten free choices, a must for a family with two people living with celiac, and then our waiter, Greg, really made our night. His service was seamless, often anticipating our needs without needing to ask. Our water glasses were always full and we were allowed to fully take the time to enjoy our evening. They kept the gluten free dishes separate from those that didn’t need to be gluten free and made our daughters with celiac feel truly taken care of, something they haven’t felt at a restaurant in years! From the oysters and calamari to the charcuterie board and truffle fries, the food was delicious. The capper was the gluten free chocolate lava cake to celebrate one daughter’s 21st birthday!
Thank you Greg and Precinct Kitchen! We will definitely be back!
Perfect place for a date night. Romantic ambiance with fabulous food and service. Highly recommend
Amazing food and atmosphere with fun Christmas decor!
Attractive restaurant. Food was uninspired, dull. Service was ok. We were disappointed. One and done.
Precinct is wonderful. We always enjoy our visits here . . . and there have been many! Food and beverage selections are excellent, and service is attentive and pleasant. The bar area is typically packed, and can be quite loud, but once you thread your way through the crowd and into the dining room, the noise level becomes much more tolerable. Look forward to returning.
Fun place for brunch before a weekend show at the nearby Lyric (you get a discount, too -- can't beat that). Food was good, service was prompt, and the atmosphere is lively. Good Bloody Mary, too.
We were staying at the hotel so it made sense to have dinner there. We didn’t realize how incredibly noisy it was! They were in the midst of a holiday Pop Up in the bar but it made it very hard to hear in the dining area and there were no tables available far enough back so we were seated close to the bar area. Overall the food was good but the noise factor was less than ideal
A convenient location, good food and good staff. The drawback for me is the noise level!
Service was excellent. Atmosphere was decent Soup, grilled cheese and specialty cocktail were excellent. The flatbread was just so so. I would go back for the grilled cheese though.:)
Our table wasn't ready so they sat us at a very quiet, private booth which was very accomodating. Food was excellent, service very attentive.
Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere, love an open kitchen concept. Never disappoints!
Nice place. Appealing menu, food was good, service friendly and prompt.
Attentive wait staff, excellent meal!
I would recommend.
Amazing service! The chef made my husband his own almond milk for his coffee because they were out. I have to say it was the best almond milk I’ve ever tasted. He should bottle and sell it! The waitress was very attentive as well. We chose the gluten free pancakes and they just plain rocked!!! And the Huevos Rancheros had phenomenal taste, yet were a little too fried for my taste. The breakfast potatoes are deep fried and so were the corn tortillas, I personally would of asked for them plain if it was described in the menu as fried. Over all the service made the meal. Great ambiance for a restaurant in a hotel. Will definitely find it again.
Came here for dinner before a show - good food and great sitting area. Bar area was very loud and crowded in aisle way to get to restroom was only downfall. Wait staff was awesome!
Solid place for lunch. Service was excellent—waiter was attentive and food was fast. Food was ok but not great.
Don’t miss the octopus and the French Onion soup!
Entering the restaurant was confusing. If my companion had not known how to wend his way through the crowded, noisy bar to the reservation stand, I might not have been able to find it. Once seated, the noise level was still high, but manageable for conversation. The cocktails are fun to try, and I enjoyed my Gin Fix. The appetizers were outstanding. Deviled eggs were creamy and so delicious -- perhaps the best I've ever had. The hummus plate was equally yummy. The ceasar salad was average. Our main dishes were also good, but not on par with the appetizers. The steak frites was ok, but we make a better steak on the grill at home. The truffle fries were much better. Fish and chips -- also good, but not so good my companion wanted to take the leftovers home. Another companion had the lobster risotto, and cleaned her plate, as well as finishing off my truffle fries. My recommendation is to go, enjoy the cocktails and appetizers, and perhaps skip the mains.
Very good food and drinks! Stellar octopus app, soft homemade gnocchi, tender beef, awesome fat homemade noodles, great shellfish. The staff are super friendly, the drinks were very tasty with a great selection of cocktails and wine! Decadent chocolate Lana cake for dessert. It was all a bit heavy sure, but it was high quality and everything was cooked perfectly. Will be back!
