Prasino - La Grange Ratings and Reviews
I'm whole food plant based and currently on a sugar free diet. It's so incredibly hard to find a restaurant that I can go to. I went there for breakfast and was able to eat the quinoa bowl. They even had ezekiel bread! That's the only bread I can have and it was wonderful to be able to look at the menu and have a variety of things to choose. I'm so grateful I have this restaurant in my neighborhood.
I found Prasino's ambiance perfect for getting together with a friend I hadn't seen in ages and catching up. My Ahi Poke appetizer (ahi tune, shrimp, avocado, cilantro, mango, sesame seeds, macadamia nuts, sweet and spicy sauce) was delicious, and the Grilled Salmon on top of squash and zucchini noodles, with tomato, spinach, roasted red pepper and chipotle was excellent! Unfortunately, my friend said her spinach and artichoke dip appetizer was tasteless and sent 95% back. Her main dish, Thai Yellow Curry was just OK.
I would still come back and try other dishes.
We haven’t been in a while. Tried a couple new items on the new menu....sadly, it wasn’t great. The gnocchi was hard and lacking flavor. The curry was just fried rice. The black bean burger is still good. We’re hoping their breakfast didn’t change. We’ll try again fir breakfast.
We are a group of women who meet here often for our book club. The food is always delicious and the staff is terrific. Our favorite waiter, Chris is the best. He is so welcoming and knowledgeable, gives spot on recommendations and accommodates our quirky demands. Our favorite place!
First time at this restaurant. Kind and polite hostess and servers. Good amount of options on the food and drink menus. Definitely great portion sizes for what you pay! We would like to go to brunch here again and also come another time to try the lunch menu.
Every time I’m in the area, I always try to stop here. It’s always been for breakfast, so I was excited to try dinner.
First off, I started with a local cider, which was amazing! We had a cheese plate that was absolutely delicious. The grilled focaccia was perfect.
For dinner I had the southwest salad. The chicken was so tender and tasty.
We ended up splitting a tiramisu martini, which was the perfect cap to our night.
I love this place!
Very good restaurant in La Grange!
We were seated very promptly by the friendly hostess.
They have a nice selection of food. My husband enjoyed his short rib dinner. My mother loved the scallops. My father liked the salmon. The restaurant was able to prepare it just to his liking. I had the gnocchi. It was awesome!
You can get fresh, very healthy meals here. If you prefer a savory, great tasting more filling option, there are also many good options on the menu.
Head to La Grange for some great food with a varied menu!
We love the menu, with so many foodie options. We dine here a lot and generally have pretty good experiences, but this time, the food was sub par (stale pita, slimey red pepper slices, no cucumber in my Mediterranean salad). We will probably wait a while before giving it another try!
Hadn't been there for a while and arranged for an old friend to come to LaGrange via train so that we could have a good chat. Was lovely, they found us a more quiet spot so that conversation was easier for a couple of 80+ gals. We were seated promptly, I had made a reservation. It was lovely.
Wow! I know this restaurant has been in LaGrange for a while, but it was out first time and it was awesome! The salad was fresh greens and chockfull of tasty morsels. The yellow curry with lobster had a great depth of flavor. And, the sticky cake for desert was just enough. Pretty good wine list too!
Early dinner Friday night with the wife and a friend. First impression was please is really big, and it was early so nearly empty. Craft cocktails were enjoyed, and we ordered various small plates to share - Food execution was solid if lacking imagination. Wait staff very attentive and friendly. Not from the area - I'd try the other places up and down that strip of La Grange road before returning to Prasino.
But it's worth checking this place out.
Prasino is a great place to enjoy freshly-prepared organic and local-sourced food. Preparations are unique and satisfying. Hand-crafted cocktails are special and the menu offers selections to please anyone. Vegan and GF entrees are clearly marked, and the waitstaff is quite knowledgeable. Do not miss the lobster avocado appetizer! Seafood is fresh and the chefs always have a special preparation to please. Desserts are made in house and are very good to share.
Service is attentive and well-paced. Great place also to visit for a snack or drinks after a movie at the LaGrange Theater!
