Prasino - La Grange
Prasino emphasizes seasonal, local, and organic food whenever possible. Its commitment to sustainability is incorporated in Prasino's eco-chic design.
Great breakfast place. Gluten free options were numerous.
Wonderful brunch. Food and drinks were exceptional.
I have been to Prasino's several times and plan to return. The service is excellent (my water glass is always kept filled by staff), the vegetarian entrees delicious and vegetable healthy (especially the cauliflower cheddar - I always order it), and the variety of menu options is optimal. I appreciate the relaxing atmosphere, with plenty of room and subdued lighting. The staff is prompt and very attentive to my culinary tastes and desires. I do long for more cake and cookie options on the dessert menu, but I am usually too satisfied from dinner to pursue dessert. Yes, I do highly recommend this restaurant experience.
It's been awhile since I've been to this restaurant. The food was excellent, as usual, but our server was not very friendly. That was disappointing to me, since it's not in line with how I remember this restaurant when we used to frequent it.
The Evening was nice and quiet, just what I wanted for a Wednesday night. Vegan food was very tasty and presented well. Will come back to try the fish dishes. They sounded interesting
This was our second time to Prasino . The food is excellent , service is personal and the drinks are great.
this is one of our favorite local spots. Great breakfast and Dinners. Coffee is amazing, food even better. We always take our visiting friends here to show off La Grange. High recommend.
I have always wanted to go to Prasino and when a friend mentioned it as our brunch place I couldnt have been more excited. The restaurant does not disappoint. Great decor and food was amazing. Best and biggest poached egg I've every had. Waitress pleasant and kept wanting to refresh the hot water for my tea, doesnt happen often. I live in Chicago and am looking for another reason to go out that way again!
Although I was disappointed that the staff never acknowledged that this was booked as a Birthday dinner the food was good and we never felt rushed.
Very relaxing place and very good food:)
Great food, service, and ambience (quiet enough for conversation). Saganaki was a special treat.
The food was very average at best!
Love it as always. Our waitress was one of my favorites there, so it was perfect.
We did not feel rushed as we were taking our time to catch up. Food was great but service lacked just a little bit as my water glass did not get refilled
Our server was not on top of his game. The good overall was under seasoned and the veggies that I ordered as a side dish tasted of rancid cooking oil. Very disappointing for $100 meal. Do not recommend
Some good and some not as much. The flat bread was ok but the Asian Salad was a big miss - basically slaw. The soup of the day (vegan tomato and spinach) was good, the cocktails were fair, but the desserts - the maple chomeur and the deep dish cookie were outstanding. We've been coming here for quite a while and it just isn't as good as it once was, but it's still fine for a pleasant lunch.
The $30 sea bass was supposed to be in a tomato base and it wasn’t. Pretty bland and boring. The saganaki was done right. Always enjoy the fish tacos but this time they weren’t quite as spicy. Bean burger always good with potatoes. Service and ambiance, excellent. Appreciate all the vegan and vegetarian choices.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere. As always!
Service is always amazing! Food was great too - but please provide more vegan options!
It is one of my favorite go too places when I am in the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend giving it a try.
Love it all.
We always order lobster stuffed avocado with grilled bread with bottle of white wine which is excellent! Chameur dessert is excellent. My wife has tea forte and I have coffee. We could eat at several other restaurants before attending Drury Lane Theater but can't give up meal at Prasino!!
It was a little cold by the window but everything else was great and the hot tea helped warm me up:)
Great food-great atmosphere.
Healthy options including vegan. I tried the uncle Elvis shake. It was nice to have a vegan shake but wish it had more flavor.
We love this restaurant. The food is outstanding and I’m so excited that they have Vegan/GF items fir my husband. The only complaint I have is the service. The staff tends to be very direct and it comes across condescending. They make you feel like an imposition and at times you are made to feel rushed. The food and ambiance more than makes up for it though.
We have been to Prasino many times and always enjoy the food, ambience, and friendliness of the entire staff. Our waiter was outstanding, knowledgeable and offered suggestions that were appreciated. The food was excellent, as well as the custom-made cocktails, and fantastic desserts! The pace of service was too rapid, though. Our entrees arrived only minutes after our appetizers, and while this might be appreciated if one was in a hurry, it should only happen when the waitstaff and kitchen are notified. I would recommend holding off the entree order until after appetizers are finished. Otherwise, we had a most enjoyable experience, and will definitely be back!
Great food. Great service. Great staff. I love the pancakes!
A great little place to meet friends for lunch or dinner. The service and food are always good.
The food was tasteless. We were disappointed--how can such delicious menu items result in such poor food?Hamburger buns, quinoa salad, guacamole--bland. The black bean burger was dry. My husband's turkey sandwich had apples on it that he said had a rubbery texture. Wine selections are sparse, and they have only bottled beer, no draft.
Service was fine. What a shame these dedicated servers have to serve poor foos.
Beautiful restaurant. Great food; I had scallops. Superb service; Gregory was fabulous. Love the healthy menu. I learned that "Prasino" means "green" in Greek, and they are "green". I appreciate that their to-go containers are paper not plastic. Wish they would stop giving out straws, or maybe just per customer request. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Typically service and the food are great. This was an unusual miss.
Shared several appetizers, all good.
Service was excellent.
Dinner at Prasino was fine but there are better options in LaGrange. Breakfast there is much better.
Our server was really sweet and did an excellent job! The non alcoholic grapefruit drink was really good. The wine and cocktail list is very good too. We enjoyed the vegan carrot soup. I had the farmers omelet and it was great. My friends had salads and the vegan Benedict which they were happy with as well. I hadn’t been to Prasino in awhile and it was a great experience!
Great experience and great food!
Loved Sunday brunch!!!
We plan on returning for brunch, but also want to try dinner.
