Prasino - La Grange
Prasino emphasizes seasonal, local, and organic food whenever possible. Its commitment to sustainability is incorporated in Prasino's eco-chic design.
The restaurant was quite busy and energetic during this visit. The food and service was great, as usual.
Great brunch menu
everything was very good but we were seated right in front of the door so it was freezing
We had brunch here after my son's First Reconciliation. The food was great, the service was excellent, and it was the perfect atmosphere for our celebratory group. Thanks, Prasino!
The food was delicious and the service good, with one exception: I had specifically asked our server if it would be possible to have my breakfast dish with two poached eggs instead of scramble eggs, and she assured me that would be no problem. But when the dish arrived, it included scrambled eggs and NO poached eggs. I did not say anything because it was a business meeting and I did not want to be disruptive to my fellow guests; however, one of my colleagues said later, "Hey, you didn't get your poached eggs after all, did you?" The restaurant was not particularly busy at this time, where you might think the server was over-stretched. Just a pretty basic customer service slip-up. Otherwise, the server was lovely and was quick on the coffee refills, which I appreciated very much.
Noted in reservation it was a fifty birthday celebration and they didn't even bring over a scoop of ice cream with a candle or something. Didn't know I needed to ask - other restaurants automatically do this. Otherwise food was great.
Amazing food, service, wine. Top notch in all aspects.
I love this restaurant and go there every time I’m in town. Love the farm to table approach and tons of clean options. So many to choose from. I ordered the vegan breakfast tacos this visit and they weren’t very good. The server took them off my tab after apologizing profusely. I love that they take reservations and are always on time. I almost went two days in a row as they do such a great job! 5 stars!!!!
Great food and always good service.
It was a very calm and comforting place to eat. In such freezing temperatures outside, I felt warm right away. The decor is soothing and the service was great! Definitely will be returning for a dinner.
Delicious food and great service! Went with a friend and we got a few plates to share, all of which were very good. The beet salad is a must try, as well as the chicken skewers.
Great food, we loved our appetizers and our entrees. Will definitely be coming back.
I always love going to Prasino! I love fresh well made food and I always find it here.
Fantastic spot for a quick healthy breakfast, or a business lunch. We go there every year for NYE as well. Great place. Great Food. Easy to find parking, and occasionally you will bump into movie stars too!
My hometown is La Grange and I love to be able to come home and be able to go to a restaurant I really enjoy to eat at. I love to show people this restaurant because it really is the bang for ones buck. Last time I was here though, I did not enjoy the constant staring from some of the people. Not at all the restaurant's fault. I love this restaurant and will continue to eat here. My favourite in La Grange!
The service is fantastic! The server went out of their way to make sure we had everything for a fine dining experience. Food and drinks were excellent too
This used to be one of my favorites in la Grange. The food is still very good. the problem is that since it was featured on Channel 11 it has become far too expensive for what you get. We ordered three entrees and one iced tea. Together with 20% tip, it was about $110. No drinks, appetizer or dessert - and not the most expensive dishes either.
Had the chilaquiles and banana foster crepes for brunch. Both were heavenly. Good service. Loved it
We met friends in the SW suburbs for a meetup lunch and Prasino was our choice. Good menu, reasonable GF options for those of us who needed it. Surprisingly inventive menu. We'd definitely go back!
First visit and we were pleasantly surprised. Food choices are great. Prices moderate to high. Food quality great. I wish more booths for more privacy. Lighting great with all of the windows.
First area we were seated in near the back was dirty. Floor was messy and there was a definite odor.
Place needs freshening up a bit. Not the same quality as a few years ago
Server was nice but had too many tables.
Overall experience- okay.
Always a great place for fresh, unique dishes. Brunch on a Friday morning was somewhat busy, but not overly noisy. I was a bit disappointed with the Quinoa Bowl, as it was much more "liquidy" than I anticipated, but I did not ask about consistency prior to ordering. The Sweet Potato Hash was tasty. Service was fine - not necessarily lacking, but not stellar. I've been here to eat several times and I'm always satisfied, overall.
What a disappointment from the time we walked in the door. We told the host we had an open table reservation. He asked, booth or table? If he looked at the reservation, he would see we requested a booth. Prasinos had an interesting menu, and that is why we thought we’d try it out. We ordered grilled octopus, ramen, and a burger. I might mention that after we got the octopus, we heard Mexican music blaring from the kitchen along with a very off key chef/ cook belting out the lamenting songs. I then lost my sense of adventure, and ordered the burger. The ramen was not ramen— it was spaghetti noodles, in weak broth. Ramen is supposed to be seasoned, rich, and slurpworthy! The burger was cooked correctly, but pretzel bun was hard and dried out. We would have given this feedback to our waiter ( who should have been telling kitchen to turn off the music— along with the other 2 waitstaff) , but we didn’t see him until he asked us about dessert. Prasinos prices are very high for the quality of food they’re putting out of that kitchen. Had I ordered what I came in for, I would be even more disappointed. But a burger is hard to screw up, unless you don’t care about the quality of bun you’re serving it on. I have to be honest.
We celebrated New Year’s Day at one of our favorite brunch spots. One disappointment was tru Santa Monica Frittata was not up to usual standards. We did not have any peppers in the frittata and very little spinach. My Mom commented immediately but we did not complain. We took the leftovers home and this morning I can see we should have told Prasino their kitchen must have run out of ingredients as there really were no peppers and very little spinach. Great place -we will return- but will tell management when we order to be sure our food is prepared as per menu description.
We always enjoy dining at Prasino. Prasino offers unique and healthy options.
Amazing GF/DF experience. Chef adapted eggs Benedict and French toast!!!!
We love Parsino, the food is great and healthy. The service is perfect.
The food and location are great. My issue was with the service. Our waitress was rude and ignored us several times as we tried to get her attention. We have dined there on several occasions and this was just out of character for the restaurant. I understand that she had other tables, but her rudeness was just unnecessary.
Great Place and Outstanding service ;-) Highly recommended
We loved our poke bowl appetizer, but both dinner entrees and the dessert were not that impressive. I had the scallops with risotto. The risotto was not fully cooked, which was unpleasant to eat. Meanwhile, my daughter’s gnocchi was over cooked and was very mushy. Our dessert of the cookie and ice cream was good, but the cookie was over baked. It seems that the kitchen needs to work on their technique. It was a very sloppy showing overall. Disappointing for a meal that with tip was over $100. Not worth it.
Server was great; however, the only thing I would recommend is not to get carried away with joking around too much. A little was okay, but it kept going and started to get annoying.
Most of the food was excellent. However, if you order the chilaquiles (steak, chicken, or whatever), it was pretty bland. Need to kick this dish up a notch with flavor and spice.
Regular coffee was great. Decaf not so great (watery). Bloody Mary drink was okay.
Excellent! We didn't wait long at all for a party of 8. It was quick.
The place looked great!
I'd say - it was a great place and I would definitely return!
It's been a while since we visited Prasino. Our server was not that great. We ordered a flatbread that came out burnt. She left it at our table and moved on. Later when she walked by we told her it wasn't good. She told us the kitchen was cooking another one and was going to bring it out. Why would they have served that to us to begin with? She never told us they were making a new one. She never really stopped by to check how everything was or check-in. She made a few recommendations that were lackluster compared to the food we have had at Prasino in the past. There were also some upcharges that she failed to tell us about. My son ordered a hamburger with pickles. We were charged $.75 for pickles. We were disappointed in our experience and it might be bad enough to not come back.
The bussers kept trying to grab our plates and had a tendency to reach across people to collect. Given the level of quality they aspire to, I would expect an approach from the left to collect & pour water. Our waitress was phenomenal.
The dishes could have been seasoned more.
First time. Excellent service and expansive menu. Had the sirloin steak special of the day. Amazing taste ! Mushrooms and potatoes exceeded expectations. Steak was done perfectly and tasted great but all four of us felt it was tough which was disappointing. Still a great meal and night out with friends
Our server Alice was fantastic and very professional. We enjoyed our lunch and will return soon.
The food was good, My date stole my Butternut Squash ravioli. The touch of pesto in the sauce was delicious. I had the gnocchi it was a little to starchy but the fresh vegetables were great. They didn’t have the wine we ordered so charged us slightly more for a different Zin. I think they should have charged us for the bottle we ordered out of courtesy (about 6$ difference) but the service was otherwise great.
Awesome food, awesome service, freshest juice ever!
Lovely atmosphere - good menu choices - my friend liked that breakfast was available until 2:30 and actually had a breakfast item when we met for lunch. Comfortable and good service - food was exceptional and they provided a delicious dessert with a candle to celebrate my friend's birthday.
We celebrated a Birthday at brunch on Sunday and the atmosphere was nice, food was delicious and prepared perfectly. Our server seemed polite and friendly however she took long periods of time to refill drinks or take our order. Pwrhaps she waa overwhelmed as it was busy.
Overall, good food ans friendly environment.
Good, fresh food all the time!
