Prasino - La Grange
Prasino emphasizes seasonal, local, and organic food whenever possible. Its commitment to sustainability is incorporated in Prasino's eco-chic design.
Our waiter took forever. He never checked on us after the food was served. I need to ask someone for our check we waited so long. We had an 18 month old with us. It’s always best when there’s a table with a toddler to get us out fast.
It was great. Service was good. Food was amazing!
Always delicious at Prasino. Got the lamb spaghetti and was absolutely fantastic. Ended with the gooey butter cake - even better!
Our service was very slow, I had put in my comments that we were celebrating a birthday and even mentioned it to the waitress and she didn’t even bring the dessert menu. Food was good, but will
not be coming back.
Maybe it was just an off day for them, but it was our Mother's Day dinner. I stood at the front door for some time while the hostess was on the phone. She didn't even look up at me. I walked outside to greet my family, when I came back she was still on the phone and we had to wait a few minutes for her to finish before she even looked up. Not a good start. Not even a smile or a welcoming tone. Our server was beyond bored, he seemed really annoyed to be there. When we asked questions about the menu, he would look all around while answering, so it was really hard to hear him. He hardly came back to check on us. I didn't like my food and didn't eat it. Didn't have a chance to tell him until he came with the check. He did take it off the bill, which I appreciated, but earlier would have been nice, so I could have ordered something else. The nicest people there were the gentlemen clearing dishes away. I saw a manager type talking to other tables, but she never came to ours. On our way out, the hostess very quietly said, "thanks for coming in." I could barely hear her. Good thing I happened to look at her, or I would have missed it. It's too bad this didn't work out. It's a nice place and an ideal location for my family. None of my party were impressed with their food, and with the service we received, I don't think we'll be returning. Kind of a bummer.
Great menu. Loved the breakfast options especially fresh juices and bloodies. A little loud, service dropped off a bit once food arrived. Overall a lovely family brunch
I love the restaurant, but some servers are better than others.
Such a great breakfast.
I have really grown to enjoy the menu and the restaurant for breakfast. It’s just a bit more of an upscale breakfast experience.
Always the most excellent breakfasts!!
Alcoholic drinks we're expensive
Took forever to get our bill..
The mixer for our Smoothies, altho
delicious, was LOUD.
Waiter seemed preoccupied to get a full
Great food , great atmosphere. Attentive service but not overly attentive. A little pricey but worth it for the quality.
Food is good, lots of choices. They need noise reduction tiles tho - even at lunch it was really loud.
Waitress was very knowledgeable about items on the menu. Our meals were delicious.
Waiter was excellent....
Incredible food. Atmosphere very large and cold. needs partition of some sort. The space is way too large for a comfortable, cozy dinner. Fake candles? Wait staff does not carry through the organic theme.
Very nice overall
But I wasn't sure how to rate noise level -- it was not a problem, crowded but not noisy.
My favorite breakfast spot in western suburbs. Great coffee and great service.
Family friendly dining with great selection for everyone. Great service, great food!
Flatbreads ,salads are the best.
A favorite place for our family gatherings !
Thank you .
My husband and I loved our breakfast. The omelette was cooked to our satisfaction. They also had a booth for us to sit in. The servers were always checking us to see if we needed anything. Very enjoyable.
We celebrate our wedding anniversary same day. Overall great experience.
Everything was great except the music. It was too loud and made it difficult to have conversation.
Quality of food has gone down quite a bit but the prices have gone up. We used to be frequent customers but we will not return.
The cod, surf & turf, beet salad and the warm butter cake with the vanilla gelato all are amazing. Love this place.
Love their food! Thank you.
Any restaurant that serves swiss chard deserves a second try. This time I will be more specific with my preferences and substitutions. Thank you!
Shared several appetizers, very good.
Server was great.
Fresh ingredients, inventive and wide variety of menu items. Creative take on healthy options. This is a go to place for us. We love it!
Everything was fantastic—the food, the service, knowledge of wait staff. Hostess was very welcoming. We had a variety of different things. My 8-year old grandson had an order of perfectly done beef skewers followed by the whole order of mussels, which he ate every one.
My daughter had the poke and side of beets and the street corn, also loved her choices.
I ordered the artichoke and spinach dip that we loved and I ordered for my entree the scallops with risotto and edamame which were outstanding.
For dessert my daughter got the butter cake that she said was superb. Always count on a great meal at Prasino.
Very pleasant overall. Two in the party were late, but then the waitress kept us waiting a long time after they finally arrived. She was nive enough to at leadt bring us some grilled bread though.
We will be back to try mire items on the menu. I like a thinner crust on flatbread.
Hands down the BEST omelette I have ever had. I had the veg-out omelette with ham, which was unbelievably good. Can’t recommend this place enough, we will return!
My first time here. Great service. Loved the fig flatbread. I was happy to see some of the salads offered half order size. Will definitely be back.
My family prefers different meal options, including vegan. We thought the menu offers great options for vegans. I also love their focus on sustainability. Nice location and great service.
Good vegan options. Food is good. But $5 for a class of grapefruit juice is a bit high. Expensive.
What a cute place. Food was delicious, service was really good. We weren’t rushed along which was great when catching up with friends.
We’ll definitely be going back
As always, such a lovely environment, with amazing food and outstanding service!
I have had lunch here several times and have always enjoyed the food. This was my first time for dinner. It did not disappoint. The service was as exceptional as the food. The only thing that could have made the experience better was the ambiance. The restaurant is quite bright and could have been toned down a bit for dinner time.
My wife and I dined here for lunch. We both enjoyed the ambiance. Waitstaff was attentive was a nice cadence to the flow of our experience.
Prices were a tad high. We asked about some of the side dishes and were told they were incredibly small. For the amount of food we were shown, they didn't seem worth it.
The fig and prosciutto flatbread was incredible. We would return and try a lot more on their menu.
We dined at Prasino on a Friday evening. We were a party of six and were pleased that they sat us at a round table, which is always the best shape for conversation.
The service was impeccable. Our waiter (I wish I recall his name!) was attentive but not pushy. He gave us just the right amount of time when we weren’t ready to order and asked him to give us a few more minutes.
Four out of six in the group had a signature cocktail before dinner and the menu was extensive enough that everyone found something appealing and we all tried something different. I have the organic gin cocktail and it was delicious.
The entrees were delicious and plentiful. Those who had lobster ravioli loved it. The lobster flavor doesn’t get lost in the cream-based sauce, which is plentiful, but light and not pasty. I had the curry rice bowl with salmon, which was cooked to perfection and not at all over cooked. My only preference would be more of that tasty curry sauce. My friend ordered the cod and she really liked it (and she’s a picky eater). Lovely presentation too — piled atop accompaniments. Another friend had a flatbread pizza, which was enough for two.
I rated “ambiance” 3 stars. The noise leve is a bit high as there isn’t much to absorb sound and it seemed loud despite not being 100% full. But prices are reasonable for what you get and food quality excellent. I’d definitely go back again!
It was great. Enjoyed as usual! Salmon salad was delicious
