We love sitting outside and this was the perfect night. The burger was delicious (fries are nothing special) as was the rockfish. And the lyonnaise salad is terrific. Always enjoy Praline.
Our dinner was excellent. My only criticism is the atmosphere. The bright ceiling lights make you feel like you're sitting in a supermarket. How about lowering the lights and putting a candle on each table?!
Praline's does amazing desserts, but sadly their dinner food has gone down hill. Very disappointing. We will continue to buy our cakes, desserts and breads from here, but will NOT be going back for dinner.
FYI at a French restaurant you do not expect the Tuna in your Salad Nicoise to come out of a tin.
Excellent food. My salmon was a bit dry but overall very good.
Although we and the friends who accompanied us had dined there a number of times over years, our experience was almost more enjoyable than expected --excellent to outstanding in every way.
Unfortunately the food does not live up to the promise of the menu and is expensive for bistro-style food in a neighborhood environment. The new decor is attractive and the patio is a delight, but I would stick to wine land an appetizer when the weather is good.
I absolutely love Praline! Great service and great food. I have been there many times and have never had a bad meal.
Delicious food. Celebrated my mother’s birthday at Brunch. Food was fresh and my eggs were cooked perfectly. Will return again.
The food is consistently good. The service was adequate; with my only complaint being the seating. My friend and I met for 11:00 a.m. brunch. The restaurant was empty when we were seated at a table for 2. The very next group seated was a group of 3, including 2 children who were seated right next to us. I found this a bit annoying as the restaurant was empty at that point. Clearly the group could easily have been seated at a further table.
Our waiter was not attentive, he did not bring all that we asked for, added something to our bill...not our usual delightful experience.
The Valentine's Day Menu included a wine flight option which was quite nice. We had the delicious crab corn soup followed by Short ribs and the Artic Char entrees. The Short ribs were flavorful and tender the the Char was fresh and accompanied by seasonal vegetables. We skipped desert and instead bought some macaroons from the bakery for our after dinner treat. All-in-all it was a romantic lovely dining experience. We will definitely return once the weather warms up to dine outside on the patio.
The one thing about the restaurant that I've noted in my past several visits - I come quite often - is that the restroom is in need of more scrupulous cleaning. Given the quality of the food and the restaurant space, I would expect much cleaner and more inviting restroom. To me, the disconnect is shocking.
7:15 on a weeknight. Mod. Busy but quiet. The atmosphere is nice, repainted since I was there last. Service was good. The menu has grown, and that’s good, more seafood. Food was just ok...Duck underdone, chicken overdone.
I’ve been eating here occasionally for years, hoping the neighborhood restaurant would improve, it doesn’t. I think there are enough “neighbors” in the nearby condos that the restaurant could survive a limited nuclear attack with little blip in its business. At least they keep trying.
The bakery is great!
As requested, we were given a quiet table. The service was excellent. The food came rapidly and was very good. This is a local favorite that never disappoints. And if you can, leave room for dessert - they are exceptional.
Praline is a nice ambiance and good food especially the pastries and coffee.
The food and service are always excellent! Our book club meets there monthly and we have never been disappointed.
Service was off this time, which is not like other times that I've been here. The restaurant was busy for lunch. We had shrimp salad sandwiches, which I wouldn't order again. They were bland and were tiny, tasteless shrimps, probably from a can, not fresh frozen.
The chef makes EVERY dish come to life! Your taste buds will thank you every time you walk in their door! And the bakery's desserts are far above the rest!
Always reliable--good food, good service, and you can have a conversation easily. I like that they do change their menu with the seasons.
Nice quiet restaurant with good food and good service, located above their wonderful bakery.
Reliably delicious French food with great wine and service. We are regulars and they go out of their way every time. In many visits I have never had a bad food experience, and I love to bring friends here because they’re always amazed how great it is. The menu changes and is seasonal. Is a bit out-of-the-way, is not open late, and I wouldn’t recommend it for a major event because it is very small, but parking is easy and while not inexpensive, the value for the quality of the food is good.
Food was mediocre and not a good value. On a prior occasion it was quite good.
This place tails me to Paris whenever I dine there.
Always delicious and great about refills on coffee.
Lovely meal with superb and warm service. It is our neighborhood gem.
We had lunch at Praline, and it seemed as if the chef was having an “off” day. One in our party ordered the Frittata of the day, but when it was delivered, it was actually a frittata with the ingredients of the omelet of the day. We sent it back to get the right item. Another in our group ordered the veggie sandwich, which was delivered without one ingredient––Swiss cheese. We sent that back to get the right sandwich. Two out of three meals incorrect. Not a good situation. We have been to Praline a number of times, but we will reconsider returning.
I ordered the Special of the Day which was duck legs. They were fabulous. The skin was crispy and the duck was succulent.
Lovely lunch. Variety of good menu options to choose from; well prepared food. Be sure to order dessert: the pastries are gorgeous and altogether too tempting! Check out the bakery counter on the first floor - filled with works of delicious art!
Food and service here are consistently good. Nice menu --French Bistro plus crepes. And, you can really visit because it is not noisy even though it's usually pretty full.
The name Bistro usually refers to some quick French dinning, inexpensive, really good and very typical of an every day dinning or/also typical of a Region.
On a Sarturday evening, there was no warm, pleasant atmosphere. To the contrary, it was very cold atmosphere, the restaurant was basically empty. The music from very old French songs was appreciated.
The service was good. However, everyone who came by seems to be really timid or did not understand French nor English!
My sea food crepe with shrimp, lobster and fish, had one very very small piece of shrimp, the lobster appeared to be fake, more fish, with the crepe not baked enough.
My husband enjoyed the chicken pot pie the only dish under the entrees’s menu that was less than $28.
We did not have any more room for the pastries which we understand are good.
The salads at lunch were quite good. The Nicoise, in particular, is excellent. All four in the party ordered salad and they came dressed as ordered, were fresh and flavorful. Coffee wasn't so good, though. It was weak.
The bread and pastries are out of this world. If you go for brunch, check out the outdoor patio upstairs. It was lovely.
A regular favorite for us, by luck they were having a promotion of special dishes and french wine pairings that we ordered. and, of course, dessert was particularly good.
I used to go to Praline frequently, and always loved the food. Haven't been in four or five years, but I suggested this to a business colleague and was disappointed. The Crepes were very dry and the service was slow. I probably won't suggest this for business lunches in the future.
Lovely lunch; sat on the pretty flower-bedecked terrace. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals and especially the AMAZING pastry dessert that we shared. Check out the bakery display on the ground level; it's like looking at little jewels. Beautifully presented and memorably tasty treats!
They play a radio station that is full of static. Very unpleasant, not at all French. Wish they'd stop.
Very good atmosphere. We came here for brunch around 11am and it was quiet and quaint. Food was good, service was great. Very cute neighborhood gem in the middle of a shopping center. Def recommend the outdoor seating in the upstairs bistro.
They are very friendly and service was nice.
The only thing I don't understand that there is 5 dollars fee if you share the entree.
I don't like it. One of my friends mentioned this and still there.
Otherwise, it's very nice restaurant.
Underrated local place; good menu; friendly but unfussy service; nice ambience.
Delicious food changes with seasons. Watermelon-beet soup was on the menu and I was brought a sample which determined my ordering it. It was delicious. Their onion soup is also very good. There is always a variety of sandwiches and entrees so you can choose from a light snack to a full meal. The servers are pleasant and knowledgeable. There is a choice (when weather is appropriate) of eating inside or on a lovely little patio.
Definitely will return to try some of the other items on the menu.
