Prairie Grass Café Ratings and Reviews
We had not been here for a long time and then only for the burger. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food and great service. We had a NY strip and flank steak and both were perfectly prepared. The sides were also wonderful, as was the salad. Very nice and we will be back!
What a great find. Bartender made the dining experience fun! A great start to dinner with pate and whitefish for entrée and finished with French silk pie. The dessert I could have done without but the appetizer and main entrée were worth it. Would dine here again for sure!!
This is always a positive dining experience. My margarita was too strong and just reeked of alcohol, but the food was all great. They are outstanding burgers, though the portions seem smaller over time. Salads and soup were excellent and the duck was outstanding too. I usually get seafood, which I totally enjoy, but went a different route this time.
I found a hair in my omelette. This is the second time this has happened dining here (the 1st time I was almost finished and didn't say anything). This time I had just bitten into my food so I had no choice but to mention it. They took it away and brought me a new one a bit later, but I was disappointed to see that they still charged me for it at the end of the meal. We also had tea and dessert, so I'm surprised the server made no effort to compensate me somehow beyond just bringing me out a new one. I'm not sure I'll be returning because why do I keep having hairs in my eggs?! It's disgusting! I'm sad though because this was my go-to local business lunch place...
Went for family brunch. Service was very good, good value, nice menu. We went back the following weekend! Service wasn’t quite as good the second time around, but it’s close to home, the food is solid, and it’s kid friendly, even though considered “upscale”.
The service was horribly slow and inattentive all evening. Server took orders and brought them to the wrong people, even a single glass of wine ordered 2 minutes previously. Noise was over the top given that the 20-year-olds dining in our party found it to be too much. Waited 20 minutes for initial drink order to be taken. Not rushing back.
This was a great place for brunch. We were celebrating a soon to be new addition to the family, but were a small party (6 of us). The hostess and waiter were great about accommodating us some extra space due to the number of gifts we brought with. The food was great. Would definitely come here again.
I have have eaten at Prairie Grass quite a few time but I brought my adult son with me for the first time. He thought he had died and gone to heaven. The food was excellent! We had the butternut squash flatbread and Brussels sprouts, the Pablo crusted pork cutlet and he took a piece of the pumpkin pie Home. Our waitress was also excellent! Delicious and we will be back!
