We originally planned to have a simple 3 course dinner as part of Arizona Restaurant week. But after a chat with our server we met Chef Peter and he created for us a fantastic five course tasting menu. Each of us had different offerings except for the main dish which was an outstanding fish dish. The wine pairings for each course were excellent. Our server was able to describe each wine and where Chef Peter was not available each course. Prado is on a par with our favourite restaurants in New York such as Jean Georges and Gilt. Thank you for an a memorable meal.
The ambiance is outstanding, beautiful setting with the beautiful landscaping, fountains, and interesting architecture. Food was good, but not outstanding.
We had a very nice server and efficient service. We will go back and try their less formal restaurant for lunch.
After several previous very happy visits, this one was a disappointment. Still beautiful, both the restaurant and the overall property, but a disapointment in the food -- not up to our previous experiences.
My husband and I both had the Lobster Entree and it was OUTSTANDING!
Although check-in with the young hostess was disappointing, overall our meal was delicious. I've been to Prado a few times, and every time the menu has something new and interesting. Each dish is plated and served with care, and the wait staff always does a great job. The only downfall for me is it's always very cold (so bring a sweater) and their band is too loud, and it makes it very hard to have a conversation. Aside from these minor things, Prado is an excellent destination.
Wonderful food and a beautiful setting.
Way over-priced for what you get. $85 per person for Mother's Day Brunch was a waste of money.
Actually didn't get wowed about my meal.
Setting is excellent but the menu is too eclectic for my tastes
Easter brunch was fabulous. Great vew. Very relaxing. Service provided by Gino was perfect. He was very attentive and always one step ahead of our needs. He truly made us feel very special and made our experience at Prado one to remember. The food choices provided a nice array of choices so that everyone was happy.
My 4th time here, and it gets better every time. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a great experience!
There are hundreds of restaurants to choose from in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area, so it might be a bit risky to celebrate a 60th birthday at a restaurant that we have never been to before. The Prado exceeded all of our expectations. The location, right under Camelback mountain was breathtaking. The service was excellent - all of the wait staff acted as if we were the only customers that counted. They were extremely attentive, provided us with the information that we needed, and had a smile on their face - they really seemed to like what they were doing. Of course, the food was amazing. Our fish dishes were cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of vegetables and garnishes. I'm glad we found Prado and we will certainly be back.
Although the restaurant is nice, the prices for lunch were at least 30% higher than what one might expect in similar restaurants in the area.A split salad for two and two cofees,$5.00 each !!!!!! resulted in a check for $30.00. I would not go back to experience coffee that was double what would be expected! I consider the restaurant a "ripoff"
The duck, billed as "the Chef's favorite dish to create" was very disappointing. The sauce didn't work, the confit was dry and flavorless and the duck breast was rather tough. The Yellow Tail appetizer was ok, but not full of flavor. At least two private parties were going on, which altered the ambiance. Scottsdale has many beautiful resorts that serve delicious food. I will visit one of them in the future, but not Pardo at Montelucia Resort.
We ate here twice in a three night stay at the Montelucia Resort. The chef is outstanding, with the most delicious food we have eaten in a very long time. The scallops are amazing with interesting spices; the lamb loin was absolutely exquisite.
I wish that I lived in Phoenix so that I could eat here often!
We were staying at the Montelucia resort, and decided to try it so that we didn't have to leave the property. It was so good that we decided to come back again tonight! The food is inspired, clean, fresh, interesting spices. The scallop dish I had was the best I have ever eaten anywhere. Looking forward to tonight!
At my request, the chef made a special chocolate souffle' for my wife on our anniversary. Not only was it outstanding, but I really appreciated his going above and beyond!
Excellent food, beautiful location. More expensive then it should be, though.
BEAUTIFUL! I loved this place because it was not in Old Town and bustling with huge crowds and lots of people. The restaurant is beautiful. The service was outstanding. The meals are not the norm however, they are wonderful. Great pic!
The food; service and ambience were outstanding. My only comment was that we did not realize there were piped in music, which was competing with the live music. In hindsight, we would have either sat further away, or sat inside. The live music was so loud, we were finding ourselves talking over it. Otherwise, the evening was fantastic.
excellent food and great service...loved the bonzoni
this is a terrific place to dine . The food is superb. The service was excellent. our yellowfish appitizer was fresh and the citrus dressing was delicios. my husband's lobster dish had lrge chunks of delicious lobster and my bronzino was exacly what i hoped for.
My guests, who were from Italy, loved the food and said it was fresh and just like home. The organic foods sourced locally and prepared by a top chef are really telling. The lobster ravioli and the antipasti were fresh and light. The Turley Zin paired wonderfully.
Very good food but an unexperienced waiter which is inconsistent with a high end restaurant . Decor is overly dark and energy level of the place was lacking . given the price of wines and food a little dissapointing
I requested Oliverio to wait on us for this important business dinner and he was fantastic. Takes the time to explain the menu with real joy. Second time here and second time perfect.
We had dinner at Prado for our 30th anniversary. It was a great experience!
Disappoint they no longer have pallela. The pasta dish was amazing and also the seafood.
We had a nice evening celebrating my husband's birthday. We both had the steak and it was phenomenal. Wines by the glass were pricey and we went with a recommendation for a bottle of wine from our server. It ended up being $120 for the bottle. It doubled our bill. Next time a server recommends wine, we'll have to remember to ask how much it is before ordering!
We were seated outside and could not get the waiter to turn down the tableside heater. Tenderloin was fatty and extremely overpriced. Enjoy the resort, avoid the Prado. Not a good valentine weekend dining experience.
I took my Girlfriend out for a Valentines pre-dinner and we had an amazing time. The food was great and the staff knowledgeable. There was a live band on Friday and I guess they are there every Friday and Saturday, Loud but very good.
When we go out for dinner it's all about the food. Unfortunately this restaurant did not live up to our expecations. The house speciality fish stuffed with crab was a major disappointment. The portion was very small and the crab was almost non-existant. We ordered oysters as an appetizer and I must say they wer the smallest oysters that I have ever seen served at a restaurant. We won't be going back.
The chef should go to Sassi to see a tomato/mozzarella salad! The pasta was swimming in cream when we asked the waiter before ordering. Totally over priced for the food. The best part is the ambience of the place.
outstanding food, service just ok not in keeping with the cost, noisy,tv over the bar doesn't belong in a restaurant costing 125.00 per person for dinner
The menu was quite average, same thing, chicken, meat, salmon... Somewhat boring. Wine list had some interesting finds but overall with such a setting you could do so much more. Need to work on creativity...
Poor service and not very busy for a holiday......nothing special!!!
Because we dined at Prado on Christmas Eve, we thought it would be much busier than it was. It felt a little deserted, but we did have excellent service from our waiter, Oli. The food was very good, even though the special Christmas menu was much smaller than the usual menu. Everything was deliciously prepared.
Absolutely horrible - Where is Chef Claudio??????? Heard he left Prado about a month or so ago IT SHOWS!!
Food was delish. Menu a tad short
Our experience was just satisfactory. None of the four of us will be in a hurry to return. Too many other exceptional choices
This was our first visit. The food was great and the service was excellent. We will return.
