We sat outside in the patio area and it is so nice. Sit there if you can.
Between the old world decor, the warm lighting, the camelback mountain backdrop, and reduced noise levels in comparison to most restaurants, Prado sets the bar for ambiance. It’s a shame that the service doesn’t compare. Our server took our order and brought us our check but that was about it. He never checked on us after food or wine was delivered. Twice we had to flag him down for things. Sadly the restaurant wasn’t even busy which would make this understandable. Luckily, Keaton, a member of his team, was quite accommodating. He seemed to be the only person in the restaurant really working. We ordered the filet and the scallops for our main course and both plates were melt in your mouth delicious. The presentation was also on point. I would however avoid the Paella bites as they were something I would expect to get from a fast food restaurant. Prado is very nice, but it would have been even better if the server had earned even half of the 20% tip which is already included in your bill.
Great margarita and food artfully prepared., nice bar with a little music and quite enough to have a conversation without yelling.
Menu is small but food is great and service was pretty good
Service somewhat slow.
Bread was hard and bland.
Band was fun.
Otherwise very good.
We were celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary with friends (6 people). I clearly indicated on open table we were celebrating. I was looking forward to dining here and seeing the resort. Unfortunately, due to the poor service we received, everyone at our table was disappointed! The server took our drink orders with appetizers, and they came out timely. He was pretty much MIA the entire evening. We had put our food order in, and it took OVER AN HOUR!!! My husband ended up talking to the manager as we noticed other tables had been seated since we were and served their dinners. Our only assumption was he forgot to put our order in! Before my husband talked to manager, he had to get up to go find the server to inquire about our food & getting more drinks. He came back to the table, and 3 of us ordered another drink. He mentioned that the chef apologizes, and our dinner would be out soon. I honestly think that when my husband got up to find him is when the server had an “ph crap” moment and THEN put our order in as he probably simply forgot! He ended up bringing 2 drinks out (one of which the one guest didn’t even order)! So, I was left without a drink. At this point is when my husband talked to manager. She came to table with my drink, and offered complimentary drinks for table. I said to my husband, this is still unacceptable as our server is inattentive and we are still sitting here over an hour with no dinner!!! She ended up taking $200 for our bill, and we were very discerning on what to even tip this incompetent server! He never did come back asking us how our dinner was or even offer us dessert! We didn’t even get an acknowledgement of our anniversary by him or the manager!!! They could have atleast sent over a complimentary dessert! We will never return to dine here when in Scottsdale which is a sad shame as the ambience & food was stellar. However, poor management & service ruined it!! Great anniversary dinner to remember :(
A very nice place for a drink. Nice bar with tapas. Good restaurant and Patio with beautiful view on the mountain! And people so proffessionel !
Prado has Gorgeous Views of Camelback mountain! Picturesque! The food and wine were outstanding. One of the best filets I had! Highly would recommend Prado!!!
I took my fiancé here for his birthday. The ambiance is exceptionally beautiful. Although there was a convention happening in the courtyard, the restaurant remained very quiet and private. We were seated on the patio with a stunning view of the pool, fountains and lit torches. It really gave the feel of having dinner on a Mediterranean getaway. We had the calamari appetizer, which was about what you would expect from fried calamari, but the added pesto and fried jalapeños were a unique touch. For our entrees, I had the Valenciana Paella with lobster and he had the salmon. The food was amazing, and it came out very quickly. The portions were also generous, so much so that I needed a box to take over half of it home. The only minor issue we experienced was our table not being ready when we arrived, and taking a bit longer than expected to be cleaned off while we waited. However, we had a seat at the bar while waiting and the bartender recommend an excellent Cabernet, which made up for any minor annoyance. Also, I made sure the hostess knew we were celebrating a birthday, however, I had to remind the waiter in front of my fiancé, which somewhat kills the surprise dessert element. However, they did comp his dessert which was nice, if not customary in a restaurant of this caliber. I had the bread pudding for my dessert and it was RIDICULOUS. Absolutely. Indulgent. We will definitely be returning.
Should have known when I called restaurant 4 times trying to amend the amount of people we would have in our party....Finally called concierge; even she couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone. Some food items we wonderful, others were so-so. The real issue we had was the host/hostess and the attitude. Despite making a reservation and trying to be considerate of their restaurant on a busy day, we were relegated to a high top table in front of the “carving station” (which was not a carving station), despite the fact that during our 2 hours in the restaurant, numerous tables went UNUSED. They acted like they were doing us a favor by taking our $99 per person for “eggs and donuts”. The young server was delightful, and represented a totally different atmosphere.... that is once someone went back to the host/hostess station to ask to get a server sent to our table. Go to the Biltmore, (Wrigley or Frank & Alberts) go to the Four Seasons, go to El Chorro, go to First Watch, or Matts Big Breakfast. At least you won’t get a side of attitude with your meal.
amazing time at Brunch with the Easter bunny
Wonderful food and ambiance. They were having issues with service the evening we were there but addressed it to our satisfaction. When you go to a fine dining restaurant the service experience should match. That said the food was delicious and we enjoyed our evening
Excellent meal, great service by Victor and Adam at M Bar. We had a sampler platter of all the tapas selection which was unbelievable! Great place to smoke cigars as well.
Besides the incredibly rude hostess, fantastic food and service by our waiter.
Amazing! Highly recommend!
The resort is absolutely beautiful. The paella was not the star, though it seems like it should have been. The lamb chops as appetizer was beautiful and I am sure as a meal would have been stellar. The wine suggested by our server was delicious and went perfectly with our meal. I would definitely recommend this as a travel destination, pricey, but worth it.
Great food and great service
Great food, great ambiance
Prado is wonderful. Thank you Chauna (Concierge) Kim, our waitress, and Megan our chef. It was an incredible experience, and a special thank you to these three ladies.
Despite mentioning that it was our anniversary in open table reservation and also the lady who seated us, there was no acknowledgement of our special occasion.
Prado is the best restaurant in the world. Best food and best service.
Delicious food , gorgeous patio table, great service. Very relaxing.
Very nice place. Cool atmosphere and quality food. We enjoy it and it’s especially good for breakfast
This advertises as a Spanish restaurant the only thing Spanish about it is the wine and even those they were mostly out of
Preface: it was a Wed. evening with very few diners; unlike previous times, when restaurant was very crowded and excellent in all ways!
Started with reserved patio seating in reservation, but “hostess” said “No, all booked, and they paid extra to be on the patio.” which is absurd! Restaurant was dead when arrived except for some loud bar patrons and even emptier when we left 2 hours later. No music like before.
Then, our cocktails arrived reeking of fish! (Ordered limes to mask the stench)
Vegetarian Paella was inedible because of extreme salt.
King Salmon(s) were prepared well but lentils and veggies under it were salty and mushy; tasted canned.
Sea Bass was bland and crab cake was cold.
Crispy Calamari was good - tender. Kale salad was delicious and enormous; a meal.
Our waitress Amal was excellent, attentive, and helpful, as was the busboy and valet.
Although the “Mgr./hostess” credited the drinks and Paella upon hearing of the issues (NOT from us); our guests/friends were moving to CT and this was supposed to be a celebratory send-off party that went off-the-rails from the start. Based on dining experiences there before in years past, this was beyond disappointing and an inferior experience. No wonder it was dead in the peak of high season!
Food was delicious and service was great.
Beautiful place with good great ambient and live music during the dinner. We tried the Paella Valenciana, and being Spanish I have to say that was really good and flavor and experience really close to the one you can eat in Spain. Great choice.
Reuniting with old friends
Amazing Birthday dinner with friends and family! Lamb chop appetizer was divine as well as paella and scallop dinner!
Overall the restaurant was great. They should wash the shell fish better so the sand is not in the rice in the Paella dish.
Service was wonderful and server had great recommendations. The short rib was an excellent choice and would definitely order again.
Donovan, the chef, was outstanding-- created great alternatives for us, due to allergies.
Wonderful experience. Tile floor, Spanish style decor and feel. Beautiful patio facing the Camelback, very classy. Tapas were great. I felt like I was in Spain and Morocco at the same time. Eggplant bruschettas, manchego cheese and seafood paella. Extensive wine list. Highly recommend.
The prado paella was outstanding as was the service and the ambiance. I highly recommend Prado Restaurant for a date night!
Out waiter made the evening so special. Every request was met with “absolutely we can do that. We aim to please.” Great food and great service.
Thanks Grandpa Frank and staff! Great food and wonderful service!
The food was good. The chicken and gnocchi was very good although I would have enjoyed a bit more gnocchi. The paella was a bit dry for my taste. Also I do not like when the paella has too much fish. I prefer simpler version.
The service was excellent and the ambiance quite pleasant.
Great place. Amazing food and friendly staff.
Thanks to the chef and the staff! Our marriage anniversary was a blast!!!! A special thank you for the complementary champagne!!!!! Everything was just perfect and tasty. The white sangria is a must to absolutely try!
THANK YOU AND THUMBS UP! We will be back soon ;-)
