I ordered the tasting menu with the wine pairing; server forgot to bring wine out. Fortunately I had order a glass of wine at the beginning of the meal, so I just ordered another refill ...
Perhaps it was a scheduling issue, it seemed like they were low on staff and the server had too much to do.
Thank you for listening
Me and my husband when here for our first wedding anniversary:) We had the whole restaurant to ourself, our waiter was so friendly and took our picture! We did the tasting menu which was delicious and a great value. We got to try so much food! Would highly recommend this restaurant!
Food and staff were fabulous. Too many manager types though. They were all very attentive. Mike our waiter was superb. Appreciate his suggestions.
Food very mediocre. We couldn't pick one dish from the night that was actually "good". Had the crudo, beet salad, fish of the day - moonfish that night. Actually the red velvet cake was good. The rest was pretty flavorless and I did not wish to finish any dish. Presentation of the food was good however. Menu needs more distinct flavors, more acid, dishes need to be more complete/less one note.
On vacation, wanted a nice foodie experience, and GOT IT! I was skeptical when my family ordered The charcuterie, but the venison jerky was AMAZING, and the meats, cheeses, and condiments were great. My daughter’s papardelle with truffle was a hit, the crab encrusted fish I had was delectable. The presentations were instagram-worthy, and taste was even better. Not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Great for a special night out!
Excellent food and outstanding service by Manuel!
Great food, slowest service. No need for a 2 hour dinner.
Wonderful find when we were looking for late night Sunday dinner. Wonderful and creative food; good vegetarian options and nice size portions. Service was also excellent and the ambiance was very nice. Will return next time we are at Park City!
We had somewhat of a slow start but once Manuel Diaz introduced himself as our server; we felt right at home. The description of entrées and what our ideal experience should look like , Mr. Diaz nailed it. We did not get to meet the chef that was from Hawaii, But all I have to say; the food was absolutely amazing!!! Of course with the overall service. Thank you, It was well worth it. A must go place. I give it a five star.
Fantastic experience. Staff is over-the top with their attention to your dining experience.
Friendly staff, wonderful selection, delicious
Great restaurant in the Canyons area - and a great break from the overcrowded Main Street in Park City. We went to celebrate the successful end of a ski trip, and it was nice to just have the two of us with a more laid-back style of "fancy" than your typical expensive dining option. In short, we enjoyed it. We had a couple rounds of cocktails, which were delicious, and an appetizer before the main course. We enjoyed how they served the roasted cauliflower, and enjoyed our meal.
Food so so
Service so so
Ambience so so
Food was exceptional, except for the seafood tower. That was a bit overpriced for frozen seafood.
Beautiful environment, food was excellent. Very pricey. Wine is expensive and the pours by the glass are tiny. Our waiter was not the most professional but he was friendly. Be sure to order your venison or bison exactly the way you like it and be clear... the chef serves everything pretty rare.
If money isn’t a worry this is a great place to dine.
We ate dinner at Powder for my husband's birthday. When weather moved in that night, the decision was a no-brainer since we were guests at the hotel.
The hostess was cordial and inviting, and our server, Marcruz, was PHENOMENAL. She knew the menu inside and out, was engaging and friendly to our 3 year old, and her recommendations were spot on. She brought crayons and paper for our little dude, which kept him blissfully occupied so we could focus on the food, and was attentive and friendly. From our table, we watched the snow falling into the courtyard, and stayed cozy and content in a sleek dining room. Other families were there with kids, too, and there was a happy hum of conversation in the room that never became bothersome.
We started with a salad of fennel, radish, yellow beet and mixed greens with candied pecans - a vibrant starter that was a great balance of flavor and textures. I would have had more if we didn't have three other courses coming.
I went with the foie gras, and it was beautifully cooked over toast with a sweet braised purple cabbage and citrus pairing. The flavors and texture balance again were delightful. Husband had the wood-grilled cauliflower, which took on a delicious warm Indian flavor of spices and curry, without overpowering the mouth. We're going to make it this weekend!
For our mains, he had the venison, which, as hunters, we can say was cooked par excellence, and beautiful to see. I had to fight to try a piece! I had the Hawaiian moonfish (aka Opah) and it was divine, especially with the butternut and Brussels side.
Our dessert, graciously on the house for husband's birthday, was the High West Whisky Salt Caramel Profiterole. I don't know what else to say other than order this. If there's nothing else you go here for, get this. The combination of delicate pastry, warm whisky sauce, salt-caramel ice cream, and cinnamon-dusted apples was just perfect, and between the three of us, there were no crumbs left!
Wonderful experience. Prior to being seated the hostess asked if anyone in our party had any food allergies. It was noted, the server was made aware as was the chef. It made the dining experience enjoyable.
Our server, Maricruz, was warm, friendly and very accommodating.
The meal was amazing from start to finish.
We are looking forward to returning.
Great experience. Very attentive staff. Excellent food.
Great meal for our final night in town. Excellent on all levels.
Best meal in Park City hands down. Manuel was our waiter, and he made the experience so phenomenal. We will definitely be back.
Food was excellent. The service was amazing. They have great vegan options
Highly recommend! Service and menu were outstanding- great for a lovely dinner after skiing.
Our family had dinner at Powder last week. It was underwhelming to say the least. Our server was very inattentive - spent more time serving the ladies next to our family of 4. He never brought out waters or bread both of which were placed at our table after we had completed our meals. We all ordered adult meals and they were average at best. Two of us had the ribbon pasta with rabbit; one had the mushroom pot pie; and the third had the tuna ahi crudo. Food was just ok. Most dishes came out cold and the crudo was so small that it filled one quarter of the plate. We would not recommend this restaurant and will not be coming back.
Meal was supurb, buffalo and salmon were cooked perfectly and very tender. Desert was good and large enough to share. Seafood tower was good, lobster excellent, oysters were small and prawns were regular shrimp, still good for four to share as an appetizer. Overall excellent dining experience and highly recommended.
Valentine’s Day dinner
We had the fried chicken and it’s to die for! Great service and also try the lobster corn chowder. Decor is outstanding. Been going to Park City for 25 years and wanted something new. Definitely recommend
Great food, interesting selections but not too “out there”! Very attentive & knowledgable server.
Ryan the GM is fantastic! Truly knows how to make you and your party feel welcome. Food was fantastic! The rabbit and mushrooms, the venison and the pork belly are all fantastic. I love this restaurant and I love that it’s located off Main Street even more! If you haven’t tried Powder put this place on your bucket list.
We really enjoyed our meals, the waiters and the overall ambience.
Powder is a favorite restaurant in Park City!!!
Main issue was a poor server and poor service system that neglected to pay attention to our 5 year old son's peanut allergy and served a bite complements of the kitchen (we did not order it) that contained peanut butter. We even asked about the specific item and they said no nuts.
Fortunately our son was able to overcome the issue, but for a fine dining restaurant with the price points this place has, we expect a lot more attention to details - especially when it comes to food allergies. They did apologize, but it would be better to just listen to allergies and arrange the service model to accommodate them.
Not a place we would go back to or recommend. Pretty sad to poison a 5 year old.
Great food and service along with great ambience without feeling crowded even at capacity!! Had a fantastic dinner!
Powder is our favorite place to dine. Great ambiance, great food and service!
The seared fois gras and venison we're excellent
Amazing food and phenomenal service in an impeccable setting!
I had walked by Powder a few times and assumed it was a pub-like apres-ski kind of place. Boy was I wrong, this is fine dining at its best! During Sundance is is close to impossible to get a reservation anywhere and by chance, Powder was available at a reasonable time so I booked it.
Fabulous from beginning to end. There were three of us and we ordered a selection of things to share. The seafood tower was amazing, and the grilled cauliflower, the corn chowder, and the fried chicken were out of this world. We couldn't decide on the desserts so we got three. Apple fritters, creme brûlée and ack, I can't remember the third one, but they were all very yummy.
Great wine list and warm, friendly, yet efficient service were all most appreciated as well.
Wonderful breakfast. Super cool staff. Left the breakfast open later to accommodate us
I have eaten here many times, breakfast, lunch, dinner, bar menu-Always superb
I love everything about this restaurant especially the wonderful serving staff-Maricruz :)
and all of them are the best!!
Food was fabulous, service was great and the setting was beautiful. Highly recommend.
One of the better options in the Park City area. Went twice and service and food were consistent. Good value.
