Powder – Waldorf Astoria Park City Utah
Delicious and attentive. powder is my new favorite park city restaurant.
Everything was excellent! We had the salmon and sea bass. All a la carte. Drinks are pricey - especially the $28 Manhattan. Would not take small children there.
Beautiful setting. Excellent quality of food and exquisite presentation. Service is supreme.
A casual environment with a delightful, yet managable menu
The hostess at this restaurant is clueless - she showed our part of 3 to a table for 6 in the back dining room which was empty before we told her we wanted one of the several vacant tables for 4 in the main bar/dining room. After we were seated, the same thing happened to another group that ended up next to us - it was rude and a little insulting to walk by empty tables and be shown to the back - probably wouldn't go there again with so many great options in PC that care about the customer experience ......
Nice dining room with view out to pool and terrace area.
Service a bit slow and took a long time to even get bread to our table. Three of us ordered the salmon and one ordered the duck. Salmon was good but a bit on the dry side (a comment from all of us).
There are many restaurants in Park City to choose from, while Powder is good just don't think it is great.
Valentina was wonderful !
We enjoyed every morsel of our meal! Impeccable service, lovely setting, and a great place to people watch!
Amazing experience and a wonderful table in the back..quiet!
We were expecting a fabulous meal and a relaxing ambience. The food was a good as we expected but the atmosphere was apres ski chaos!
Amazing dinner paired with wonderful wines. Great service from Steven. We’ll definitely be back
Outstanding food and service
My wife/girlfriend wanted a nice romantic dinner. Instead we were seated (no other option) near a table full of misbehaving children with parents that were irresponsible. Management did nothing to correct the issue. The urchins were running all around the restaurant.
This restaurant is just a hotel restaurant. Nothing special about it.
If you dine here, request Paul to be your server. Extremely attentive and knowledgeable. Unfortunately he was not ours.
It is our favorite restaurant in Park City by far Naturally we picked it for Valentine’s Day. It did not only meet our expectations but exceeded it tremendously. It was meal worth Michelin Starr restaurant only better.
One person in our party had their entree come out Luke warm. By the time the new entree came out my date had finished her dinner. And the new entree was not hot. Will not be going back.
Powder is a great restaurant with unique menu and delicious food. We had only been there for lunch prior to this visit so this was our first dinner experience. It was busier than it had been during the lunchtime when we’ve been there. There were many families. The only disturbing issue was that we were sat next to a family who brought tv’s (2of them) and had them playing full blast two different programs for their children. I have grandchildren and they bring iPads but they have headphones. I’ve never seen anything ruder. That table disturbed everyone in the restaurant and the staff felt they had no recourse for the rest of us guests. I did ask to be located and the manager was very apologetic and did move us to the very back where we were able to enjoy a quiet wonderful dinner. You truly should review your electronics policy. Other than that everything was fantastic.
Flavors were incredible. Food so well prepared. Our server, Shelby, mead outstanding.
We were seated at the first table near the bar, where there was a conference crowd. The noise was deafening. Not was was expected at the Waldorf.
I honestly didn’t know what to expect after booking this restaurant due to proximity to our hotel but my goodness did we receive an exceptional surprise! From the decor to the level of service one cannot find these days, to the sensational food, the fair pricing only sealed the deal as one of the best dining experience I’ve had in years! The oysters were first class, the foie gras and burrata beet salad beautifully presented, and the sea bass a true delight. Don’t skip dessert because it’s one of the best dessert menus I’ve seen in years... the beignets are mind blowing! I cannot recommend this place enough!!!
The food took to long to come out of the kitchen and the restaurant wasn’t even that busy at all
They were having a terrible night Monday after Sundance
Best meal we had in Park City.
$29. For a lonely burger on a plate was sad. Burger was chopped with pickles?!? Not a medium rare as requested but well done. Came with small portion of fries which was fine, but not mentioned on menu, so my friend and I had ordered a side of truffled fries. Wish server would have mentioned the double order. Overpriced, under delivered.
Anyone can have a problem for a night. We waited
what we believed was an excessive time for our entrees to be prepared. Other tables seated after us were served before us, for whatever reason. I enjoyed the food, particularly some of the desserts. The filet, the Wagyu were not superior but were satisfactory. Satisfactory was not what had hoped for at Powder.
Fantastic food, service, and overall experience. We will certainly be back soon.
Our waiter was outstanding! Knowledgeable, friendly, personable!
Food was really good. We had the salmon and risotto. Wonderful wine selection!
Great menu options & talented chef with beautiful presentation.
Excellent food, exceptional service!
Brought a friend here to thank her for hosting my wife and I at Sundance. The room itself was a little underwhelming (I thought I was in the hotel bar by mistake) but everything after that was superb.
The beet salad was outstanding, visually and to taste. The scallops with pork belly were truly amazing. Perfectly cooked and an excellent combination, as was the Chilean sea bass. Our guest had the tasting menu which also did not disappoint.
Very foodie great food service was excellent. Wine pour not so good
We were really disappointed with our dinner experience at Powder. It was advertised as “fine dining” and a $50.00 per person deposit was required. The restaurant itself is not elegant. The food is overpriced for the quality. Our appetizer of Foie Gras was good, however our entrees arrived lukewarm and just didn’t taste good. Overall a very disappointing experience.
The food was good but just not worth the prices. The service and atmosphere we're good.
We always love powder but this waitress was above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
Dinner was great, food was great and our Server Shelby was fantastic!
We sat in the bar. Service was very poor. I had to go find a waitress to get our order taken after waiting for 15 minutes. Also, I ordered bread roll which never came. Food portions small, but good quality.
We absolutely love this restaurant. We stay in the Canyons every year at Christmas/New Years and eat here at least once, if not twice. This year was wonderful. We had our second annual holiday dinner with new friends who also visit the Canyons. We requested the long table in the back and all ordered the tasting menu. The service is spot on. The wine pairs with each course and having the privilege of having the sommelier also be our server. The Chef is creative and the food is vibrant.
Nice relaxing place for lunch during skiing. Only complaint is that the portions are small.
Everything about the restaurant is fine. Only pro - they take lunch reservations.
Food was excellent (Beet salad, risotto, halibut, and wagyu beef), YUM! Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. Took 30 minutes to get drinks and almost 1 hour between apps and entrees. We were in no rush, however was a 3 hour dinner for a group of 4. The server was pretty illusive the whole evening.
Fantastic Christmas dinner. Excellent service and great wine selection.
