We forgot how great this restaurant was and so glad we went again. Fine dinning experience and a wonderful atmosphere. The service and all dishes were excellent. Hope to get back again soon but highly recommend for a 5 star special occasion dinner.
Powder never disappoints! Paul is an outstanding server. Thank you for making our last night in Park City special.
Thanksgiving dinner. Very good food and excellent service
Decor dark and mediocre ! View of a court yard ! Soup, excellent ! Entree, each item excellent and skimpy! Dessert, strained to be pretty but was a farce. Service was excellent! When asking for a couple of slices of turkey for an after Thanksgiving sandwich we were treated as if we paid $6.50 per person rather than $65.00 per person. The Powder has potential to be great, but need a change of perspective.
The food where the right portions, not to small, or too big. The chef came out and greeted us. Very nice place. Will definitely go back.
Paul made our evening spectacular!!
What a fantastic hidden gem, I took my family there and it was such a positive experience that we will for sure be back. The food was excellent, our server (Paul) was very attentive and full of any and all answers to our questions he made it wonderful. This is a great place for kids of all ages and I would highly recommend this restaurant for everyone. It is on the expensive side but it is worth the money if one is able to do it.
I find for the prices the food here and service are average at best. Prices are comparable to NYC but my friend's dish came out cold 2x. Drinks very expensive too.
Powder is not one of our "regular" restaurants in Park City but we were given a gift certificate so we decided to use it and give it a try. The meal was basically a train wreck. Our server was very congenial but did not bring the salad we ordered thus getting the meal off to a bad start. The food (my wife had the scallops and I had the halibut) was overly salty. All in all we decided not to return to this restaurant.
Temp was a bit brisk, but service and food exceptional.
This lovely restaurant in the Waldorf Astoria Park City has excellent food thanks to Austrian Chef Hermann Schäffer and his staff. Fortunately, the service is as good as the food.
The Hungarian goulash featured tender chunks of beef in a complex sauce with root vegetable mirepoix enhanced by sweet Hungarian paprika. It was accompanied by a side of herbed spätzle that had a memorable tender/chewy texture to go with the rich sauce.
The sirloin steak was very well-flavored and tender. Accompanying it were nicely seasoned potato chunks cooked in duck fat and tender broccolini. The deep flavor of the reduction sauce spiked with green peppercorns pulled it all together. Our server, DJ, was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. We look forward to trying more dishes of the season here!
Fabulous dinner experience. Top notch food, service and ambiance. Highly recommended for any special event.
The halibut was a little bit dry but the chicken was really juicy and good. Great wine list.
We've dined at Powder numerous times and this meal was exceptionally good! The service always suffers a tad but the food was really good.
Fantastic Food! Beautiful atmosphere and great staff. The Chef is superb. I love to take friends or family and we always so pleased.
Birthday dinner. Food was excellent and our server was very nice, but the pace of dinner was extremely slow—better than being rushed, but too slow considering the few occupied tables that evening.
My sister and I went for supper and drink. Drinks were good service as well but the food was a bust! When our steak and potatoes came out they were lukewarm so we asked them to send them back to rewarm a little bit. When they finally came back they had replaced the potatoes with hot ones but the beef and vegetables were now stone cold. After two tries at a Waldorf Astoria dining room, we just decided to leave and eat elsewhere. We expected a wonderful meal and service and got at least one out of the two. Will NOT ever try eating there again!
I wouldn't say they have the best menu for an every day type of palette, but the wagyu was amazing!!
Amazing food and service! We stayed at the resort and had both breakfast and dinner. The kids portion sizes are really good for my boys age 11 and 13( big eaters too).
Powder is fantastic. Great bourbon and wine selection. Service was exceptional. We had a table on the balcony overlooking the pool area...very nice.
Chef refused to cook steak anything more than rare. I had asked that the steak be medium. Sent it back for additional cooking but it still came out rare. I could only eat a few bites.
We had a wonderful dinner, beautifully presented and served by a lovely young lady. Great experience!!
Great food. Highly recommend the chef’s tasting.
Great food and dining experience. Steak was a bit rarer than expected for chef recommendation but still full flavors and great cut.
Nice restaurant but service was pretty slow and food was just ok, especially considering prices..
Beautiful place but the food and service did not meet our expectations. The waiter was super friendly but at times we thought they forgot about us. Food was just OK. Surprised to see no healthy (Like Vegan or grass-fed) options on the menu.
Definitely 5-Star dining from warm cloths for our hands to surprise treats to whet our appetites.
Food was amazing and we loved April - true professional and so knowledgeable of the menu.
New chef is great....menu changes seasonally...Forest Wild and Exotic Mushroom Cappucino "Soup" and Swordfish Prosciutto and Thyme Crusted Tuna starters were terrific and beautifully presented.
Mushroom Crusted Alaskan Halibut was delicious. Coq au Vin was a bit of a disappointment- very nontraditional version- essentially chicken cooked in wine but not served in its broth.
When we arrived we were asked if we are celebrating special occasion, we said yes , our son’s birthday. That was it. No acknowledgement of our celebration during the dinner. The meat was not prepared / cooked / as we requested, music was loud and over all noise level was very high, making hard to have a conversation. The desert ( Chocolatte lava cake 6 was cold and old. We went because was rated # 1 restaurant in Park City. Did not meet the expectation of an amazing dinner.
This place has always been a hidden gem here in Park City. Never too crowded, always fantastic service, and relaxed pace meal. Not a turn and burn operation at all.
Our server, Steven, was a pleasure. He had a tremendous knowledge of wine which we thoroughly enjoyed. His insight into the various menu options and his ability (and the chef's) to modify things just a little made our experience the 5 star level I rated it as. We love eating here whenever we are in Park City.
Enjoyed our dinner. Caesar salad was great, SeaBass was good, although it was over salted. Powder is a comfortable spot.
Well.....Chris the waiter was the best part of the evening.... he was really enjoyable, very personable and professional.
Ok....it wasn’t busy at all, Chris suggested items on the menu at our request. We had 5 for dinner that evening ....the restaurant tries hard to make an impression, presentation of the dishes we got were outstanding, the butternut squash soup was good and the bread and butter. Salads good...entrees...hmmmmm
3 of us had the halibut....all raw and fishy....yes, RAW!!!!!! One of our guests had the Bolognese....got 15 minutes after our raw stinky halibut at $40.00 a dish....sent them back, Chris was so very apologetic and brought me more soup and salads around....desserts were fair, great presentation. The waiter, bread and butter and meal presentation was great, food, sadly, no.....
Outstanding food and service every time we go!
Amazing experience. Not only the by the Somali Steve was amazing
Wonderful restaurant. First time here and will return in the future. The food was beautifully presented and tasted great. Desserts were innovative and presented nicely. Service was excellent. Mixed drinks were tasty and potent!
The food here is great. Service is friendly. I had pleasant experiences every time when I came here. Highly recommended.
Very fun and unique experience for us. We felt welcomed and enjoyed our time there. Thank you.
