   Have been going to Postino since it was Turelles. Long time. Unfortunately our recent visit was disappointing. My husband ordered one of the specials, "Lamb Cobbler". It was not lamb but beef. I do not like lamb so I tasted it and definitely agreed that it was not lamb. It tasted like pieces of short rib. I ordered the duck breast, and although it tasted good there was more fat under the skin than usual. The last time we went, we were not impressed by the meal either, so we probably won't be going again any time soon. Such a shame. You used to be able to rely on the quality of the food there.

   Had a wonderful dinner and our server Heather went out of her way to let us have the perfect table. Really great spot and service. Food and champagne was delicious too!

   Oily nuts, oily calamari (but calamari itself was good), oily deep fried duck (but again quality was good), nice duck breast should have been sliced thinner or not at all, served with orzo pasta that was tasty but didn't really go with duck. Seated in quiet room away from music and fireplace which even after hostess heard us complaining that it was far from music, she still sat us there. Better food elsewhere. Good waiter and busboy.

   We loved the cozy feel. It seemed like there were quite a few people, but we could still have a conversation. Excellent food. Outstanding service. I'd like to go back once a season (or more :)) to see how the menu changes, to sit outside, to check out the bar, etc. I very much recommend it.

   Another Fabulous Dinner at Postino!!! Friends & I went to Postino after attending a Christmas concert in Oakland. Unfortunately the concert started late & ran longer than we were told; I called Postino to let them know what had happened & they graciously extended our reservation time. Upon arrival, one of my friends & I ordered the 2012 Attune Pinot Noir (my favorite); it's a bold Pinot. My friend's husband ordered a Chardonnay; he tasted the Pinot & thought it too bold for his palate. My friends split a Caesar salad & both had grilled salmon w/a warm baby spinach salad w/bacon lentil vinaigrette. I ordered a mixed green salad w/champagne vinaigrette and the short ribs w/polenta & English peas - great comfort food for a chilly evening. We all enjoyed our meals. Our waitress was Heather. She was very knowledgeable about items on the menu & the specials and had a great sense of humor. Service was attentive but not intrusive. She did an awesome job. Can't wait to go back - - -

   Another lovely meal with very nice service. I continue to be intrigued by the less than friendly hostesses here. As the first impression when entering the front door they are, for the most part, lovely in appearance...but so far entirely unappealing socially. I have yet to be smiled at or feel welcomed by any of the hostesses. This is an unfortunate first impression of an otherwise lovely and well established restaurant. Overall experience and service ratings directly attributable to the ladies at the front of the house.

    Always generally good. A few of the servers see bored at times, or rude. Heather is great. Excellent calamari, short ribs, flat breads.
