About
Great food and service. Really liked the dish they recommend and would order it again. My dining companion liked his food too! Yum!
Post and Beam is always consistent and yummy. Sunday brunch is tasty.
Excellent customer service, great food, awesome gluten free options, gorgeous/fun/sexy/easy atmosphere.
Let me start by saying that the ambiance of the restaurant is great, and was a welcomed addition to the area. My issue lies with the customer service specifically the manager and the owner. If you do go, pay very close attention to how selective those two are with whom and how they greet certain patrons. This happened to on two separate visits, so it is not my imagination. It is very apparent and distasteful. In addition, our food actually was late, as I watched friends of the owner (who by the way were seated at least 10 minutes after us), receive their food first. I don't know if this place changed ownership or if that guy is a co-owner but after that same experience twice I will not be going back, nor will I recommend this place to anyone.
Good food. Good music on the weekends for brunch!
The Post and Beam is a great find in the city of LA. It has a nice ambience and the decor is fresh and up to date. The service is stellar, everyone being so attentive.
The food is great. I usually get the catfish. It’s cooked perfectly. I’m a fan of the deviled eggs too. They are delicate and upscale. I have had most things on the menu and I have to say the chef is very consistent. Everything prepared the same and delicious every time. Only one thing is missing. Those great cheese filled olives for the martinis!
Great staff and cozy. Not sure if they have a live band sometimes but I would definitely recommend live music. Shrimp and grits is a must try.
We were immediately seated. However, it took to long for the staff to take our order. When we placed our, it took over 15 mins to receive.
Finally made it to Post and Beam pre-concert at The Forum and enjoyed everything about it. We'll be back -
Went with girlfriends before Bruno Mars and it was fabulously. Wish it was closer to Orange County. Definitely a go to before
Concerts at the forum
Melt in your mouth short ribs, and the Brussels sprouts were memorable!!
Great menu choices. Catfish is always a favorite with light dusting of corn meal. Hubby had short rib, which he said was great. Had the grandkids with us and they enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. They ate every bite. Foster gave us great service with just the right amount of attention.
Food delicious. Fresh ingredients. Excellent service and cute place
Great time. Staff is friendly. Food is just right
Exceptional service quality food right in the heart of the Baldwin Hills community. So happy to a great place to meet with friends and dine well.
I was in town visiting my daughter and she suggested we eat here. Needless to say we ate here twice! Service food and a atmosphere was very nice so when in bac k on the West coast i will be back with more friends.
Eat here if you enjoy delicious foods 👍. Black excellence in action, though crowd and crew were of mixed company . Great vibes all around. Definitely going back
Great service. Delicious food.
Our food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely and the service was good. We went for Sunday brunch. I started off with the best Bloody Mary - so flavorful. And, my friends had bottomless mimosas
The food was great! The Chef was accomodating and helpful with our allergies. However our sever Corey was unfriendly, ride and unprofessional. Never fretted is. Never smiled and did the minimum. Coeeyv also complained to us about the resturant being busy and orders taking long. He shouldn't be a server or working with guests for that matter.
The server Corey wasn't friendly at all. His body language was very cold. Not attentive at all!!! This is the second time I've had him as a server and don't want to sit in his section again.
The food was great. We asked to speak with the chef and he was very friendly , personable and accommodating! I believe his name was Johnny.
Very nice dimly lit ambiance..Nice presentation of the food but it was lacking seasoning..nothing about the Catfish and Greens that I ate makes me want to return to this restaurant...
I love Post and Beam. I had the salmon with a side of collard greens. Delicious. Brad Johnson is a great host--very welcoming. Our wine was fantastic, too, a malbec and a pinot noir. Both were excellent. On this visit after our meal we went outside to the lovely patio and sat by the fire pit and attended a poetry reading. This restaurant is a great place to eat, drink, and spend an evening.
Very good food in a nice atmosphere. The one complaint we had was the lack of sufficient air conditioning. We did ask our server about turning up the air (it was one of the hottest days of the week), but we were told the air circulation was not very good. We overheard other customers complaining as well. Air seemed to improve for about 15 min., then the room became sweltering again. If we hadn't already ordered food, we would've left. We'll return, but not on extremely hot days.
Love post and beam
Love Brad
The ambiance is always wonderful. Bit pricey but worth every penny. Patio is always popping.
Great place for food, drinks & atmosphere. The owner served us. He along with his staff were great.
I've tried this place a few times and consistently yummy! Food and service are both top notch
Good food and decent service. Prices a little bit high.
We are neighbors and we love coming here for our date night. Cocktails are great, best deviled eggs and shrimp grits I ever had, we also love the DJ nights with dinner specials. Service is very attentive. The manager even kept the place open for us when we came in late on a Sunday (it closes at 9:00 PM on Sundays...).
The food was amazing.
Service was a bit slow but the host and owner more than made it up to us!
We live in Ventura County and went to see Neil Diamond at The Forum. We went to the web to find restaurant recommendation for the Inglewood area. Post and Beam looked interesting and we are very glad we selected it. The short ribs are out of this world. They are slow cooked for 12 hours the night before. They have some excellent drink specials. we ate outside and it was quiet and comfortable. Very friendly service and staff. They have a spaghetti and meatball appetizer that is more than a meal by itself. Great restaurant!
Shrimp and grits were yummy. The pan roasted chicken was dry despite the greasy plate. Brussel sprouts are a winner, char ed to perfection. Corn bread was ok, not special at all. Not sure why people made such a fuss over the corn bread.
This is the 3rd time I've been in the last 4 months and the other 2x it was perfect: food, service, ambiance etc. This 3rd time was the worst service wise. Our host/waiter/bartender seemed to be spread too thin and once we got our food we never saw him again. We also ordered drinks and he never brought them. We couldn't even flag him down to tell him they were never delivered so that was a disappointment. The food was good but the service part left a bad taste in our mouths. We even had to walk up to the bar to ask for our check and then he never came up to pick up our check when we put our credit card in so we had to walk that up too! It just was a bad situation from middle to end. I just think he couldn't handle our table, plus drinks, plus being the host at random times. Not sure if I'll be back for awhile.
We had comfort food. Wonderful short ribs and peach cobbler. Nice outdoor seating, easy parking, friendly wait staff and good service and value. What's not to like? Neighborhood gem for sure!
Had brunch here with my friends in Sunday to celebrate my birthday and we had a great time! Our waitress Kimberly was very attentive to us and we appreciated that so much! Also the food was amazing! Some of us even shared food! We sat outside in the patio and it was very nice to be under some shade as it was a hot day. Thanks Post and Beam for having us!
Tried Post and Beam for the first time and new favorite spot. The Saturday brunch was great and our server, Rose was outstanding.
Post & Beam is one of the absolute best places to go for any meal! I am never disappointed and always leave with a smile on my face. Our most recent visit was a girlfriends meetup. We were warmly greeted by the owner, Brad, and made to feel most welcome. We never felt rushed although we stayed there quite a while. The whole time patrons were coming in and out and there was a positive buzz happening all the while. We have made plans to visit and get together there monthly and I will enjoy each time. The food was wonderful as were the drinks. A definite must for anyone in the LA area.
Sunday dinner at Post & Beam! Had collard greens just like grandma used to cook.
The hand crafted cocktails were excellent. It's not very often that I find a well-made Sazerac, but P&B has the correct proportions for my taste. Just the right amount of Absinthe. The Cantaloupe Martini was a refreshing change from the usual martinis that we tend to order and was quite good. For the main courses we enjoyed both the Short Ribs with Long Cooked Greens and the Fried Chicken dishes. Both were well seasoned and tender. The absolutely delicious sweet potato pie and coffee for dessert capped off a delightful Sunday meal. Only thing that could've been better was the dessert service. Took too long to get the pie and then the coffee was brought too long after. Other than that one glitch, service was very good. Will be back soon.
