Positano's Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
It's easy to write a review for Positano's, as it is always consistently good. Good food and drink, good staff (nice job Alex), nice ambiance. We visit Oldsmar (adjoins Palm Harbor) several times a year and Positano's is one of the three places that we always go back to. We know we can count on them to deliver a nice evening. And, after our dinner there last Friday night, we will be going back again soon.
We were rushed through our whole meal and was told several times to hurry up and order. The Server told us the restaurant was closing but we were able to make a reservation online for a 1:45pm time slot. We were unable to get dessert and was told the restaurant was closing and to hurry up. This was our first time there and we will not be back. We eat out all the time and the customer service was terrible.
Nice dinner with friends. One of the last few tables for the night and New Year's Eve; service was a bit off as I am sure all were distracted. Calamari appetizer was wonderful as were stuffed mushrooms. Lobster bisque was terrible and way too salty. Restaurant was kind enough to take off of bill. Experimented with Shrimp Parmesan rather than the usual Shrimp over Pasta. Good, but a little too much breading to my liking. Will stick to the old favorite next time. Staff was cheerful. The rest of our party enjoyed their meals - sticking to their usual Manicotti, Veal Parmesan, and Pasta dishes.
As always, a great meal! Victor, our server was attentive, friendly and did an outstanding job serving our large group of 9.
We were there on Christmas Eve and it was an especially busy evening. Yet, we never felt neglected by the staff nor, conversely, hurried to order or leave.
Great experience! Looking forward to returning.
Service and food were wonderful. I gave the atmosphere a lower score because of a noisy family with three kids who were running around, back and forth out of the restaurant during our entire meal. It was Christmas Eve and we wanted it to be special. That being said, we will definitely be back.
We were very disappointed in our meals. My husband had Veal Marsala and I had Veal Francaise. Both were tasteless. We had these same dishes a few months ago and they were delicious. Several people have said the quality of food is hit or miss. This was a Monday night. Do you have a different chef on week ends? We will not be returning.
The food was very good, salad was excellent. We enjoyed the two for one happy hour drinks. We also found out they have early dining specials. So the next time we go we will skip lunch and have an early dinner to enjoy the reduced prices for our favorite dishes. Works great for retired couples on a fixed income.
Fun night with Julie
We arrived to a nice cozy table in the corner of the bar. Julie was our friendly and attentive server as well as the evening's bartender.
We started with a fine bottle of cabernet sauvignon along with some bread and olive oil.
The salads were fresh with just the right amount of vinaigrette.
The chicken francese was moist and flavorful with just the right amount of sauce included for its serving upon a bed of linguine.
Likewise the chicken marsala was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The accompanying penne pasta with Bolognese sauce was delicious.
We finished off dinner with their featured dessert -- an apple crostada. It was fantastic!
Great service from Joe!
Chicken Francaise was full of flavor and moist.
Chicken Marsala was so tender could cut it with just the fork.
Enjoyed a fine bottle of cabernet sauvignon to accompany their house salad and our entrees.
The apple tostada for dessert was killer!!
